The Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Volume Two: Cables: The Ultimate Stitch Dictionary from the Editors of Vogue Knitting Magazine Reviews

  • Crankyfacedknitter

These are so easy to use. Good pictures, too.

  • April

Again, I marked this as read, but this isn't a book you sit down to read cover to cover.

I enjoy knitting cables. I will be trying some of these, but some are more intricate than what I would probably want to do.

    A good reference for knitters.

  • Kimberli

I read my Mother's copy. It's better than #3 and not as good as #2.
    I don't own it yet.

  • Kate Raven

yes, i am obsessed with knitting, and especially with cables

  • Jennifer

    A good resource book.

  • Terri

There are a few mistakes, but there are lots of nice ideas and illustrations.

  • Sheila

Lots of cool cable patterns. Currently designing a hat based around #154, seeded pretzel, on page 128. My only complaint is that the book has no index, making it difficult to find a pattern again.

  • Ali

working on pretzels - celtic variations... lots of great cable variations for my future sweater!

  • Mckinley

    Stitch patterns.

  • Closeacademy

    Great reference.

  • Apryl Anderson

Another fine Vogue production: The high-def photos of each stitch pattern makes me swoon with inspired delight! This volume has charts, as well, so kudos on that. The twists and turns in most of these aren't found in other stitchionaries (love the appropriateness of the word!), and many of their names are quite amusing—really has me wondering who and how they came up with them.
