LEX - The victim of a human trafficking ring, I was confined to a tiny bedroom with seven other women. The conditions were horrific. They’d taken my freedom, my clothes, and, eventually, what little hope I clung to. Then, one night, we heard gunshots. Prepared for the worst, I stood with my eyes fixed on the door, ready to meet my fate.

And he opened the door.

He saved me from the monsters. Then, he simply walked away.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have though that one day I would save him from his.

CHOLO – My focus was the Motorcycle Club, boxing, and work. I’d never been on a date. I guess it goes without saying that I’d never been in love, either. I had my share of sex, but my relationships always ended when the night was over. That all changed after I rescued her.

I wasn’t trying to be a hero, but she saw me as one. She said I saved her from the monsters.

Want to know the truth?

She saved me from mine.

DIRTY is a stand-alone MC Romance with no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and no cliff hanger. It has an HEA, and is book III of a series. Although no other book is required to tell this tale, it is recommended that you read HARD and ROUGH to fully understand the ancillary characters.

Dirty is the third book in the Filthy Fuckers Series. Gritty, raw, broken, beautiful, and alive are just a few words that I can use to describe the emotions evoked while reading this book! Like an orchestra tuning before a grand performance, the text is like music notes bending and blending, clashing and forming together to create a heady crescendo and decrescendo of sound that will continue to resonate long after the last note is played.

    "Dear fucking God."
Lex is a Spunky young woman making a quick stop at the 7-11 near her home in California. In one life-changing moment, she finds herself abducted, terrorized, tortured, and gang-raped. Broken by evil, she clings to the hope that she will survive. She is not the only woman who has been taken and acts as a fortress of protection to the women in her group. When she is rescued, it is not by the sounds of sirens and men in blue, but it is the sound of rumbling bikes and the sight of a cavalry of biker brothers who rescue the group of women and bring them safely home. After her rescue, Lex remains resilient, and yet, she is in desperate need of healing. Through her time in therapy and the rehabilitation of her soul Cholo, her rescuer is never far from her mind.

"When he thinks of living life without me, I want him to get scared and confused."
Cholo, a half Hispanic half Irish biker, was just doing the right thing. A fighter, and a proud womanizer he never expected for his life to be changed forever by one single event. One woman acts as a catalyst who makes everything change in his world forever. As Cholo and Lex form a friendship, it is evident that there is a connection beyond anything they could have ever imagined. Amidst the violence that surrounds them, and the people trying to keep them apart, can they ever find a way to just be?

"I had no idea where I was headed with Alexandra, but wherever it was, I was going to make sure getting there caused her no harm."
Told in dual POV, Dirty if by far my absolute favorite Hildreth book to date. The natural writing style is addictive due to its commitment to detail and authenticity of each and every moment. The characters are complex as they develop and grow (both individually and together) through the circumstances in their lives. The Brotherhood remains strong with each biker maintaining their own individual personality and quirks. The consistency in the characterization in the series further forges the connections between the characters and make each and every moment count. The variation of characters in this story is vast with plenty of moments for laughter, tears, and some serious swooning! Love them or hate them these characters are real people and "are who they are" and make no apologies for their convictions, emotions, or actions. The pacing is intense as the stakes are high for Lex and Cholo to overcome their adversaries. In addition to the action and suspense taking place in the plot, the romance and sexual intimacy between Lex and Cholo was beyond perfection. Every moment blends seamlessly into the next as the story develops.

Dirty is a stunning addition to the Filthy Fuckers Series, and although it certainly can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, I highly recommend filling your Kindle up with these bad boys! Be forewarned the action in Dirty is gruesome, and the content could certainly be a trigger for sensitive readers. I for one applaud Mr. Hildreth for once again pushing the boundaries and giving 100 percent commitment to his characters by delivering a realistic, raw, romantic and action packed story that once read will never be forgotten. I thoroughly enjoy this MC Series and cannot wait to see what happens next! With Mr. Hildreth at the reigns, your guess is as good as mine!

Feeling kind of shell shocked right now as I try to take in and process Scott Hildreth’s newest release DIRTY. This book had everything I have come to expect from a Hildreth book and so much more. It was insanely intense, raw, dark at times and yet full of romance and hope.

The book opens with Alexandra as a kidnap victim from an infamous drug gang being forced into despicable acts. Right away you get a sense of just how strong she is . . . as she is willing to do everything, including place herself in the kidnappers path to try and keep her fellow kidnap victims safe from harm.

When an old family acquaintance asks for help finding her kidnapped daughter, Cholo finds a way to locate and rescue Alexandra and the rest of the victims he unexpectedly finds. Cholo is immediately intrigued by Alexandra and keeps finding ways to check up on her to see how she is doing.

Both Alexandra and Cholo have baggage, and Scott does an amazing job of building their relationship for readers. It is a slow and intense build, as neither is ready for commitment, yet done beautifully. Lex is an amazingly strong and loving female lead, and Cholo is an absolute hero in this book. Cholo’s mother Maria is a gem of a character and the MC brotherhood we have come to know and love through the first two books of this series also plan a large role in this intense tale.

DIRTY was for me the darkest and most intense book of this series so far. It contains harsh scenes of abuse and torture, that play a significant role in moving the plot forward. However, in true Hildreth fashion, along with the dark is the beautiful light of brotherhood and love for family, both old and new as well as hope for finding your way forward and out of the past and into the life that these characters so richly deserve.

I truly loved Lex and Cholo’s story and can’t wait to see where the series takes us next.

  • Scott Hildreth

After the first six chapters, I understood the title of the book, DIRTY.

The heroine, Lex, was kidnapped by drug dealers, abused to no end, and left in a room with seven other girls who were forced to share a bucket to relieve themselves in.

The details regarding her capture/abuse weren’t graphic, but enough was revealed to allow the reader to understand the complexity of the mental, emotional, and physical anguish she endured.

Saved form her captors by one of the Filthy Fuckers MC, Cholo, she returns (best she is able) to her life, and attempts to go back to work and unravel the pieces of the puzzle she can’t quite understand. She isn't foolish enough to think she can't do it without counseling and support from others, though. Yet.

    In short, she feels ‘dirty’.

Cholo, the big bad biker who saved her, is left feeling awkward after the event. He’s never been one to commit to a woman, and he’s not about to start now. He and Lex’s mother were neighbors through his childhood, and although she was older than he was by 10 years, he was still attracted to her. he spent a lifetime admiring her from afar.

Now? After the rescue? He feels awkward as fuck. You see, he's attracted to the daughter.

He knows, however, that he can’t commit to her. And, he refuses to be involved with her unless he can, for fear of causing her harm. You see, deep down inside, Cholo is a great, and I do mean GREAT guy. He's a heroes hero. He's what we all aspire to be, but he'll never admit it. Yeah, he's that humble.

His issues in life all stem from being half-Hispanic, and half-Irish. The whites didn’t accept him as being white, and the Hispanics saw him as a gringo.

He's never felt that he fit in.

As a result, he boxed, fought in bare knuckles matches, and joined the FF MC, all in an effort to find a place to fit in.

    In short, he feels ‘dirty’.

This book was a rollercoaster ride like nothing I’ve read in recent years. Action, suspense, sweetness, torture, romance, soft kisses on the porch at the end of the night, drug deals gone bad, sunsets on the beach, laundering millions of dollars, sweet Sunday dinners at mom's house, being comforted while you wept, navy SEALs to the rescue, extractions of the captured, and extractions of teeth (don’t ask). There were moments where I could NOT breathe. Then, there were entire chapters where I couldn't. There were times when my heart was so swollen with love and feel-good pitter-patter bullshit that I wanted to bawl, and the next thing I knew, I was back to gulping breaths. It was a balls-out ride on one of life's rollercoasters I had no idea existed.

    This book had it all.

Oddly enough, it all BELONGED in the book. Removing any of it would have left the book missing an element that was critical in telling the tale.

    I can’t recommend this book enough. I really can’t.

It’s unlike most recent romantic erotica novels of late in that it is erotic, and it is romantic. It is also difficult.

    Difficult to put down.

If you read nothing else by this author, read DIRTY.

    End the end?

    You’ll feel clean.

So here I am speechless at the way Scott Hildreth manages to pull every conceivable emotion out of me. Again. To say I was put through the wringer is an understatement. One minute I'm loving the badassery only one of his heroes can bring and the next I'm practically on my knees finding it hard to breathe. With Dirty, the author has given us THE most complicated yet seemingly simple biker yet.

I've already fallen for most of the members of the Filthy F**kers MC at this point, but holy moly, Chulo/Adam may just be my new favorite. He's fiercely loyal and his dedication to his club goes above and beyond anything I've ever read. I found myself literally covering my eyes at the most harsh of scenes, knowing it was going to be so difficult to read. His awkwardness and adorable shyness when it came to courting Alexandra, however, was the perfect balance to the life that was fraught with uncertainty. From the time he rescued her from the most vile of circumstances, Chulo/Adam became her knight in dented armor and right then and there I knew he'd get under my skin too.

I continue to devour this series because the author seamlessly combines the gritty with the beautiful. The characters are wonderfully written and there is always that signature Hildreth snark just when you need it the most. Family is of utmost importance, whether blood-related or not and in Dirty, mama Maria steals the show more than once. Even Alexandra can't help but grin at her honesty when it comes to her Adam and I was literally laughing out loud at some of her words of wisdom. Combine that with the sexy men of the FF like Crip, PeeBee and Smokey (another standout for sure) and you've got the perfect read.

And I have to make mention of a particular cameo that had me smiling like a fool. My very first book from Scott Hildreth will always have a special place in my heart and remains a favorite of his. Getting to catch up with the main character again warmed my heart so much and reminded me why I loved him all that time ago. And apparently still do.

Dirty is simply one of those books that makes you feel good despite all the bad that might transpire throughout the pages. I feel blessed, once again, to watch one man transform into the worthy soul everyone knew he was, even when he couldn't realize it himself. Chulo is a keeper, no doubt about it.

    A huge 5 stars!

  • Debbie

What a great book! I can always count on Scott delivering a wonderful story that gives me the best feel goods. I smiled, I cried, I laughed, I swooned and I even felt anxious at times. Dirty has it all and doesn't disappoint.

Lex (Alexandra) was kidnapped by members of a drug gang and suffered the unthinkable. Cholo is the man who rescues her. What starts out as a horrible, terrible event becomes the beginning of something beautiful.

Cholo is this big ol' softy, hot biker man who when provoked can become a wrecking ball. But with Lex he was never anything but gentle and patient. He took into consideration what she went through and thought about how he truly felt for her before pushing for more. Lex was guarded and a little unsure at first. However that's to be expected with the events in her life. Lexi was strong and such a great person. She never felt scared around Cholo and he never gave her any reason to be. They just clicked and they clicked perfectly.

I'm looking forward to reading more about these bikers and I can't wait to see what Scott has in store for us next. Good job as always!

✨✨✨✨Dirty and Did it again! ✨✨✨✨

Well I must say that people who know me know that I love my dark books especially Snatch (also by Scott Hildreth) I was totally engrossed from page one of this book and Scott did not disappoint. So many emotions are running through me right now! I cried a few times before chapter 6 but you will also laugh and say Awe.

This is the third book in the MC series so of course there were a few NEW characters to this story Maria, Sandy, Smoky, Alexandra & Cholo so in usual Hildreth fashion Dirty leaves you wanting more!
I can really already picture in my head Smoky and Sandy's story or if it's written how I want it Sandy with Jay Parsons haha!

This is a stand-alone story but I highly recommend (since characters return) you also read Hard and Rough before Dirty.

    P.S.
Also if anyone's kindle stopped at 57% because of AMAZON loading the one-clicked digital book incorrectly, just give them a call like I did and have them resend a fresh copy! Thanks Scott for another incredible page-turner!

Scott Hildreth has a talent for giving readers real characters, characters you can connect with on an emotional level and at times his characters struggles will mirror your own.
No matter what the subject matter, how dark or evil it may be, I easily find myself wrapped up in the story fairly quickly and unable to put the books down.
Another thing that pulls me towards the authors work are the heroines, yes he writes some of the sexiest alpha males with the filthiest mouths you'll read about but it's the strength of the females that I always recall.
Some of his heroines have been to hell an back but they made it through and they come out stronger with or without the help of others.
That brings me to Lex. After being kidnapped and going through some horrific shit she comes out of it pretty quickly figuring out that she's got to work through the ordeal to move on. She refuses to let it define her or ruin her life.
It doesn't hurt that she soon finds the man who saved her is willing to spend time with her, something that helps her get to her new normal.
Cholo's a badass. He's big and can be mean but he's also shy and reserved, at least he is with Lex.
He sees how strong she is and while spending time with her he starts to have feelings, something he's never experienced with a woman before.
    He's patient.
He's by her side but never pushing, he's what she needs when she needs it but it all moves along slowly and smoothly at her pace.

And yes, there's plenty of MC stuff going on as well (specifically my boy Peebee spends a good bit of time in this one thank you SD) you still get your Filthy Fucker's, a little backstabbing and action thrown in. I liked seeing so much of the other guys in this one an not just in a club capacity, their lives outside the club, working etc.
Once again I have not a bad word to say about this authors work, he continues to produce story after story that I can't put down.

  • Missy Fulkerson

This book....Holy. Shit! Readers need to fasten their seat belts and cinch them up tight because this book is a roller coaster ride from the drop. The story takes you from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs and back again and again. By 8% in, I was already in tears. Seriously folks, hang on to your hats, because you'll never be able to see what's coming next.
When we meet our heroine, Lex, she's in a harrowing situation, to say the very least. She's praying for death when her savior, Cholo, shows up on his Harley. The love story that ensues will have you laughing, crying, and dancing around like an idiot because you're just so damn happy. I swear, I thought my heart was going to explode a few times.
It was also great to reconnect with a couple of characters from another book in this story...enough that it kind of makes me hope for a sequel to their story (hint, hint, Scott).
While I have no clue how Scott continues to top himself with each book, I'm so glad he does. This story is just insanely good. Don't even give it a second thought, you MUST one-click this book NOW!!

  • Sue

OMG...I felt dirty reading the beginning chapters of this book...it gave me a sick feeling in my gut because Hildreth's descriptions were so vivid that I could literally smell the grossness of Lex's captors. In usual Hildreth form though, he shocks us with the premise of the story and then delivers some solid punches while slowly reeling in the romance.
I loved Cholo and his relationship with the battered and damaged Lex...as well as the close bond he shared with his mother. This story was at times very funny and witty, at other times very serious and emotional but above all else, it showed a completely different side to the biker I was very curious about from the previous book.
Great job with the storytelling and of course I will continue to read this series...I LOVE those FF MC boys! Be forewarned...there are parts of this book that are hard to stomach but expect that in this type of genre.

***** 4.5 ***** "they saved each other in the end" stars

  • Stefanie S.

Fast read and great writing, but I felt the storyline wasn't consistent with the angst theme. The cover and title were a bit misleading.

My feelings were all over the place with the depth of violence and emotions that occurred in the few pivotal chapters in this story. I wish that those "feelings" transpired throughout the entirety of the book.
I would read another book from this author.

  • ~ Cariad ~

    Another terrific SH read.

Hope this isn't the end of the series because God knows, I'd love that lawyer to have his own book!!!

    Annihilated…………In A Very Good Way

This is my very first review of a book, be patient with me, I’m really not good at reviews, but after so many years of Scott giving me pleasure with his words, I needed to do this……..

This book ran the gamut of emotions for me………Scott always pushes the envelope………..Well Done!

As always I read your dedication……..Yes she does!

Alexandra described Cholo as………Stubborn, Bull-Headed and Determined, I’ll add very compassionate. He has that look about him that screams, Keep Walking or Die…………when you go beyond the surface, he’s not the biker stereotype by any means.

If you know of Scott he always puts nuances of himself in his books…….Love that Smokey vapes Lemon Cake Pop…….Love that Cholo wears a baseball cap and Vans…....

I love that Cholo can put down “The Butcher” half-drunk with a belly full of barbeque with that much rage……….and still be a mama’s boy. BTW I love his mother’s name! Lord knows why?

I was in tears as Cholo was being tortured and his revelations while he waited thinking he was leaving this earth just rocked me hard……I had to stop and breathe, wipe some tears and trust me nothing rattles my cage.

Cholo giving Alexandra the space to heal so she could be fully his in mind as well as body was the most romantic thing ever, when they did hit the sheets it was pretty darn hot. He writes great sex scenes, nuff said.

Don’t hesitate to read this book, Scott never disappoints ever, while you may not always agree with some parts in his books, they always hold your attention to the point of sleep deprivation, and while there is plenty of chaos........dark, light and in between, there’s always a HEA. What more can you ask for? And let's not forget the spectacular Hildreth Hangover you get afterwards.............bliss.

And last but not least by any means, Jessica Hildreth killed it with the hot cover.

Thank you for another winner Scott!

  • Tinabooklover

That was intense!!! As usual, I loved it.
I knew right away as soon as I read the dedication I was going to love it!
This is the 3rd book in this series and IMO it's the best so far! This author has a way of making you feel his characters. This book definitely did that for me. As soon as the book started, my feelers were on high alert! The beginning of this book is not for the weak at heart. It sad, it's tormenting, it's heartbreaking. As with all SH books, this one has a hot as hell, sexy, and might I say it, well hung Alpha! Lol The things the H/h in this book go through are unimaginable. I think the h in this book is the strongest character to date...again, just IMO. The shit the H goes through is something nobody could ever live through, ever! But with all SH books, as he states with all his books, this one also has a HEA. That's one of the things I really enjoy about this author's writing, I can always be guaranteed that I will feel good when the book is over. This one did not disappoint. I can't wait to see what's next!

  • Jessica

I took time to digest the book before writing this review because wow what an emotional roller coaster. I thought the book was very sweet... until it wasn't. I know that is a generic thing to say but it is truly how I felt while reading the book. Cholo was not at all how I expected him to be, he was such a sweet guy even though he has a rough exterior. I don't want to give away any spoilers but you'll know when you get to the not sweet part. It broke my heart and had me cursing the author out loud.

Overall I very much enjoyed the book, and I love Cholo and Lex together. I LOVED Cholo's mom! She made me laugh so hard. I was happy to see returning characters as well because they really do have a special place in my heart. Don't hesitate to get the book, especially if you've read Hard and Rough!

  • Deborah

BAM! And that's how it's done!

An outstanding read that literally had me clawing at my skin! Scott Hildreth doesn't sugarcoat his books and Dirty was no exception. There were times that I wanted to close my eyes while reading a scene. It had the perfect mixture of biker business, romance and action!

Scott's descriptive writing was almost too much! His clever twists and turns made my heart race and fear for what was ahead. I. Loved. This. Book. My only issue...yep no epilogue. There was a definite end, a happy ever now. But those that know me...sigh...I want more Adam and Lex. Their chemistry, the desire to heal and the will to keep living-beautiful.

  • Amber Fueston

Not for the faint of heart!

This is not an easy light read. In fact, it was a hard one for me. Not because the writing was bad or because the characters were unlikable, but because if you are like me (the kind of reader who gets fully immersed in the story they are reading) then you get taken to a very dark place. Where people are monsters and they do horrible things that most people can't even imagine. What made me keep reading and what made me love this story so much is the strength and complexities of the characters. Both of the lead characters faced horrendous events and rather than let the pain, fear, and depression consume them they came out stronger.

  • Karim

OMG!!!!! I'm so freaking in love with Cholo. This book is definitely my first 5 star read of the year. Even though Cholo was a bad ass, a great fighter, a mean mugger. He had a heart of gold, he was kind, he was understanding, he was everything a girl wants in a man. Even though he was mean biker, he was a hard worker, whose biggest goal in life was to save money for a great house on a better neighborhood. But what I loved the most was that knowing all that Lex went through, he never pushed her, he just was who she needed him to be. And that was beautiful.

  • Bwmurf

I stopped reading this shortly after hero goes over to heroine’s house to try to hook up with her mom. The hero saved heroine from a horrible situation because her mom asked him to. They used to live across from each other and have not seen each other for 10 years. Hero had a crush on her mother back then so after he saves her he uses checking on the heroine as an excuse to go over and see her mother in the hopes that she would be into him now. Once he sees the heroine without any bruises and looking better he does think she’s prettier than her mom and is suddenly no longer interested in mother and all about the heroine. He takes the mother on his bike to go get more wine when he first comes to visit too. So I’m not even gonna try to finish this.

  • Andy Leticia barba

OH MY GOD, THIS BOOK! FROM THE VERY BEGINNING I WAS HOOKED. IT WAS FULL OF SUSPENSE AND ACTION KEPT ME WONDERING WHAT WAS NEXT....

I LOVED LEX, STRONG, PROTECTIVE, AND LOYAL. ADAM WAS KIND, PROTECTIVE, AND CARING IN A VERY BAD A** WAY.
THEY MADE A GREAT COUPLE IN MY EYES. THEY ARE PERECT FOR EACH OTHER. SO MUCH HAPPENED TO BOTH OF THEM AND THEY STILL MANAGED TO MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER AND TRY AND FIND THEIR HAPPINESS.

I ALSO LIKED CHOLO'S MOM SHE WAS FUNNY AND SWEET.

    *** SPOILER***

I AM GLAD LEFTY ( I THINK THAT WS HIS NAME) HAD THE FATE HE DID...GOOD LOOKING OUT SMOKE

  • Shannon Mcfarland

It never ceases to amaze me at the raw talent that Scott selflessly gifts is with when he releases each of his books. Every time I learn that a book is coming out, I am like a child waiting for Santa to come on Christmas Eve. So excited and eager, just waiting for my gifts! And what a gift Dirty is!

Alexandra starts us off with this book and giving us her tale of being a victim in human trafficking. We learn very quickly that she is a very strong character who will not roll over and fights for herself and her fellow captives. As luck would have it, her mother knows of Cholo and his past and seeks his help in finding her. The rescue is anything but routine and leads Cholo into a bit more than he bargained for. Having the support of his Brothers, Cholo does the right thing and saves Alexandra.

Being a hero is not how Cholo sees himself. Luckily for him, he has his brothers to keep him grounded and provide some good advice when he is having some new and uncharted feelings towards Alexandra. Being the honest, compassionate and caring man that he is is just what Alexandra needs to heal. Being the strongest and toughest in the MC will keep Cholo alive when the gang that took Alexandra comes a knocking.

As always the characters are phonomenal. Cholo had a quiet strength to him that I found very intriguing. Alexandra was strong right from the get go and held her own through the whole book. I enjoyed visiting with Crip and Pee Bee again. And Smoke made me laugh out loud. The porch scene was great. I loved every single page of Dirty!

  • Lisa

    Dirty and Pure!!

Scott Hildreth has done it again! Dirty is the latest release in his newest biker romance series and is proof of why Scott is a master of writing!

Fair warning and without spoilers, Dirty does deal with some darker aspects of life involving abduction, assault and torture. However the true story is the growing love between Lex and Cholo. Both are strong and independent characters that prove how powerful a person can be if they can believe in themselves.

Cholo will steal your heart with his tenderness and emotions "....I'd ride my motorcycle 550 miles to the Grand Canyon just to watch the sunset, and then ride back the next day. I went there because there was nowhere else that I knew of that was as beautiful, as magical, or as perfect....there's a lot of beautiful women on this earth, and none of them compare to you. So, if you find me staring at you, it's because doing it saves me a 550 mile drive." Yes!! He is that swoon worthy!

This is the 3rd in the series, but can be read alone-- But why??? Fans of the series will be happy to see more of Crip, Pee Bee and others in Dirty's story.

I am a huge Hildreth fan. I have especially love the FF MC books. Dirty was no exception. I absolutely adore Cholo. To me he is not your typical "biker". Is he a bad ass...yes. Does he protect what's his...yes. What made him stand out for me was the fact that Lex made him nervous. Yes he is a bad ads biker but he is also an adorable man. I know adorablenia not what you think of when you think biker but there were some scenes in this book that fell on the sweet side. Loved it!!!

Loved this book! Loved the couple, like loved them so much; I'm pretty pissed about what happens to them later on in the book. Like I cried for them so fricken much. I didn't like the extent of it. But I completely understand it, I just don't have to like it. And def still a 5 star read. Good job dude, but no more like that please. ;)

    Couldn't put it down...

What started out hard and dark and with what was some messed up stuff happening...became this amazing love story. Ripe with gritty nasty heart wrenching situations that will prove just how strong our hero and heroine are.

Another amazing read by Scott Hildreth. I am addicted to this author! I love the characters, I love the banter and I loved the detective!! Cholo's kidnapping was a difficult read, but the ending made up for it! Hopefully there will be many more books in this series.

    Emotional Journey!!!!

This book was a hella emotional journey for me. It was filled with the feels! I love Cholo and Lex. The events they go through were heart wrenching. I ask myself when I finished this book how in the heck does Scott manage to top the last book each and every time. He floors me with his ability to write such amazing books.

NOT SURE ABOUT DARKER ROMANCE???? THINK AGAIN….
I went into this book thinking it would be a challenge for me personally because I am basically a wussy when it comes to a dark romance. I do not usually embrace a darker book, because frankly I am a huge fraidy cat when it comes to evil and violent scenes. LOL- but I trusted that this author would not leave me sniveling in the corner afraid of my own shadow. And Scott Hildreth does not, trust me, *wink*.
I have read this book more than once and I can honestly say that I fall in love with this complicated story a little more each time I read it, because in true Hildreth fashion the LOVE is in the details; details that I do not always catch the first time around. There are many layers to this amazing story, and I have loved discovering each and everyone. BWHAHAHA—Well all the ones I THINK I have figured out, I am sure there are many still to learn...
THIS BOOK DEMANDS MANY BOOK DISCUSSIONS!!!!

This POWERFUL story grabs you right from the beginning with one of the most page turning prologues that this reader has ever read. The introduction to the main characters was brilliantly woven into the storyline of this novel.

This saga introduces you to the heroine first. My respect for a lead female character has never started as quickly as it did for Alexandra Hart. Normally I need to read about a personality for several chapters before I can bond with them, not so in the case of Lex. This woman in a word was BEAUTIFUL. She was the type of beautiful that cannot be seen by the eyes but can be felt in the soul. The complexity that Mr. Hildreth inserted into this individual is still hitting me, for the story is still running through my brain. LOL—I will be driving or in the line at the grocery store and another thought will come to me…. “OHHHH YEAH, NOW I GET IT..”
And for this reader I LOVE THAT!!!!

*Gathering my hair into a bun & cracking my neck*
Ok, ummm…. Now; Cholo. Adam Downey was a puzzle for me, and I can honestly say that I am still working on putting all his pieces in the correct places. I LOVED THIS CHARCTER!!! He was not what I expected, and with each chapter he showed me a new side of himself. With each turn of the page I was blown away with what he did and who he was. But what I loved most was that there was nothing predictable about Cholo, how he chooses to handle what was put in front of him was simply outstanding. I do not want to get into specifics because you must read to draw your own picture of Adam in your mind, but please you need to meet this character. He will steal your heart, with each tip of his hat. I promise….

Although this was probably Mr. Hildreth’s MOST INTENSE novel to date, it is not without it’s humor, and most of those scene’s involved the supporting characters. If you do not walk away from this novel loving Sandy, Maria, Smokey, and the familiar faces we already love; we need to take your temperature.

Mr. Hildreth did an amazing job in creating complex and unique characters that showed in the most courageous and heart-warming way the power of the human spirit. The connection that developed between the main characters was REAL, it involved patience, respect, laughter, friendship, concern, and unconditional love. I cannot help but admire and learn from how Adam and Alexandra walked through their experiences. For this Pollyanna reader I can honestly say that this powerful, dark, gritty, and intense novel left me with nothing but HOPE. Please step outside of your box and enjoy this life changing story, I did...
Mr. Hildreth YOU ROCK…. WELL DONE.
That is it, that is all I got.

I don't usually write book reviews, what can I say I like to read not write, but I just HAD to say something about this book! UNBELIEVABLE is the word I would use! I have read almost all of Scott's books I enjoy his writing style very much and MC romance is my most favourite type of read. First of all I LOVED Cholo the best out of all the MC guys, I loved his nickname, his mom made me laugh, and I feel like he was very patient with Lex when she need him to be. Plus the fact that the guy on the cover is ripped helped a lot too! I loved the story, it was sad and scary in the beginning but developed in to a great friendship, and a great relationship. I must say I get disappointed when reading Scott's books, only because I feel like I want his story to never end! I wish they would develop more, and I want to know what happens to the characters, I love to get details on backgrounds and relatives, friends ect when I read books. Sometimes I feel like I'm left hanging at the end because I dont't want the story to end! But this book, I loved, savored in fact! SO FRIGGIN' GOOD! If you like MC type books, or even if you don't this is a must read for sure!!!!

Another great book in this series, now so far, we had Hard which was a veery intense deeply emotional story, then we have Rough which was a bit more ligh hearted, though with its own brand of emotions, but Dirty was a tough one all around. Cholo and Lex could not catch a break in this story. But I still was able to enjoy the two of them but I have to say that it was a lot of darkness to get to that beautiful light. But I think Cholo was just one of the best guys ever, he was so kind and caring and considerate, especially in how he treated Lex. He truly cared for her, outside of all that had happened to them both, and Lex at first seemed soft, but when the time came for her to be strong she was so damned strong I couldn't believe it. Overall loved this book and this story.
