For the movie buff, this paperback book is a Hollywood treasure-trove.
  
  In addition to the big name stars, each studio had a large stock company of actors under contract; they played supporting or background roles in movie after movie. Do names like Mary Astor, Lynn Bari, Whit Bissell, Frank Faylen, Elsa Lanchester, Butterfly McQueen, Oona Munson, and Gale Sondergaard seem familiar?
  
  Often seen in films, but seldom credited, photographs of those elusive faces are likely to be included here with the players identified by name and arranged in categories such as Busybodies, Bad Guys, Children, and Teen-agers.
