Contact Sports
James and Ryan are teammates. Ryan has feelings for James, but tries to deny them in the face of prejudice from his father and other teammates.
Hunk for Teacher
Craig and Martin were best friends in a small town high school, and a small minded community. They have not seen each other in years and are excited to reconnect. Martin reveals he is gay and Craig questions himself and his attraction to past girlfriends. Craig's ex is a pain and continues to push him to get back together with her.
For You
Mark and Jason have been friends for years and Mark has harbored a crush on Jason. Jason realizes his feeling for Mark are more than friendly but is afraid to cross the line from friendship to lover and risk losing his friend. Jason's bar is targeted because he stands up for a couple. I wish more was resolved with the crime.
The Blue Discharge
Set in the early 1940's. Jack received a blue discharge after experiencing terrible things in the Army during the war. He finds himself at a bar with a sympathetic bartender, Bernie. Jack finds it difficult to believe Bernie's sincerity or acceptance of who Jack is. Neither the law nor Bernie's brothers are accepting of Jack.
Green Eyes
Ryan knows he is gay but is afraid to come out to anyone, especially his family back in the small town he grew up in. His fear is holding him back from any happiness and it invades his entire life. Jesse is a straight, country music star Ryan has a crush on. Ryan wins a dinner with him and cannot believe when Jesse reveal he is gay and attracted to Ryan. Jesse wants a hidden relationship while Ryan struggles to overcome his fear of anyone finding out he is gay.
In the Grip of a Gangster
Victor is a mafia leader and is living a life he never imagined or wanted. He and Pierce grew up together but have not seen each other in a decade. Victor is still hiding the truth of his sexuality and Pierce wants him to acknowledge their love.
Shelter from the Storm
Jim and Ricky are both lonely working in blizzard conditions, away form civilization. Jim is confused by Ricky and what he is really looking for. Ricky must decide what he wants.
Private Matters
Aiden is ready to graduate high school and decides to enlist in the Canadian Army. The time is one of personal discovery into his sexuality with the assistance of Tyler. This story felt a bit choppier than some others.
Face the Music
Jason has suppressed much of himself, including his music and love of poetry, at the insistence of his 'traditional' parents. Daniel is everything he wants to be and he also has a crush on him. Jason' character gets wishy washy toward the end.
Superstar Soulmates
Jake and Daryl have been friends and band mates for years. Both decide they like each other at the same time. I would have liked to have seen some hesitation or looks to each other when they were leaving to have sex with the woman. Maybe one of them saying they were tired of the meaningless hookups. This would have set the stage better than the sudden togetherness.
Summer Rental
Gabe is super cute and only looking for a place to stay the summer before the start of his big job. Hank is a mystery for most of the book. He has suppressed his true feelings and dated many women to fit in to his small town. Meeting Gabe turns his life upside down and neither man can say if that is a good thing or not.

Jerry Cole has written a wonderful collection of beautiful love stories. Each one is different with great characters in each.
The stories are all set in different scenarios and the characters all have different personalities.
Although the stories are short, a lot is packed into them. The characters are fully developed and beautiful written.
I loved reading every story and enjoyed following all the characters on their journey. Lots of passion, fun, angst and love throughout the book. My favourite story was The Blue Discharge, a very emotive tale of Jack and Bernie.
Jerry Cole has researched many different occupations to give each story a realistic portrayal of life and how he can create lovely stories around them.
I highly recommend this collection of stories, not one of the stories disappointed.
I received a free advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest & unbiased review.

This was a great bundle of excellently written short stories by Jerry Cole. I love that each of them felt like a complete story, and not just a short scene in the character's lives. In rating them, I think that Jerry really showcased his talent with the first and the last stories - ensuring that we start off, and end up on a high note. While a couple of the stories didn't really resonate with me, I found that it was more due to the time period, or circumstances that the characters were set in that I disliked, not the writting, or the story-telling.
If you haven't read anything by Jerry Cole, but are curious to try his style out, this collection would be a good start. It has a little bit of everything - great stories, interesting plotlines, sexy men, and sweet romance.

This is a wonderful new release from Jerry Cole that is just a satisfying read. A collection of stories that grab you until the end. Each one is delightful and Has HEAs. The sex is hot, there is an excellent collection of genre, that includes gangsters, sports and teacher/student stories. I would recommend this book to anyone to read as it has something for everybody in it and the stories are short so you can read one and then do something else. Or.r.r.r. you can read them all in a "glut-out" like I did. Irregardless this book is well worth your time. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.

Here's a wonderful collection of M/M stories by Jerry Cole. Surprisingly, I usually find one or more stories I don’t like, but in this bundle of ten I enjoyed them all.
Each one you fall into the characters involved and are soon wrapped up into their life. The ending of the stories are not abrupt but slides you into a sweet ending not leaving you hanging.
That’s what I liked the most about this bundle. Honestly, these are stories I have not seen published by Jerry Cole before so it’s worth the money to read them. I would recommend this book.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. -
In average, 2.5 stars. There were plain boring stories here, stories that read like the script of a cheap porno and a couple of interesting stories where I wanted to know more about the characters and ended way too soon.
Not a book I'd read again. -
A collection of previously unpublished short stories perfect for filling the odd hour or two.
