I’m damaged. They’re damaged too. The last thing we need… is each other.
I’m done with dominants. Been there, had one, have the scars to prove it. I'm all about work now, about growing my private investigator business. I have no time for anything else.

Then a mysterious client hires me to investigate a case of blackmail at Club Menage, and he assigns me a pair of guards. Two men who knew me at my worst: Adrian Lockhart and Brody Payne.

I’ve always been attracted to them.
Always imagined what it would feel like to be bent over their knees.
Always craved their firm touch on my body.

But I’ve been burned before.

Every instinct tells me to leave them alone.
To turn down the job.
To walk away and stay safe.

I should listen to that voice of self-preservation, but I don’t.

I’m damaged. They’re damaged too.
One night will ruin us forever.

Author's Note: Claiming is a standalone ménage romance with a HEA ending. No cheating, no cliffhangers! An earlier version was previously released in a boxed set. This version has been significantly modified and extended.

    3 Kinky STARS

So I read this while in finals because, even though I said I wasn´t reading anything while I was focusing on study, I’d say that about 90% of the time I need to have something to read, and this happened to finds it way to me (don´t ask how bc I don´t even know how lol). Who would say that I used a mfm novel to help with the exams stress irl lol
I actually enjoyed this, give credit to either how delirious I felt through my finals week or to the fact that I didn’t have any expectations besides hoping it wasn’t 50 shades of trashy.

So basically this is about a woman named Fiona Clarke, which was in an abusive sub/dom relationship to some asshole 2 years ago. Now time has passed, and even when she has her own business as private investigator, she hasn´t really gotten over the trauma of that relationship, as the lost of trust and fear it left her with.
In a turn of events, the CEO of one of the most prestigious bdsm clubs asks for Fiona’s help to investigate a security breach, that could destroy the business. Struggling financially she accepts relunctanly, which will take her back to the scene she escaped and to crash into two particular men from her past.

I actually think this story helps undertand better that the “abusive” stereotype people categorize BDSM is not true. BDSM is not about being abusive, in either physical or mental/emotional way to a submissive, but it is about finding pleasure and exploring (and shouldn’t it be just for that?).
It has a lot of different kinks played through the story, and even when the plot has a little mystery, is not something that drives completely the story since there´s the whole overcoming fears that the MC goes through. Adrian and Brody were interesting characters, but at the same time, their voices in the book were kinda weird to me, like robotic and the main character didn´t have much depth (as the story itself sadly, not that I was waiting for any), so I didn´t really connect to anything.

Overall, it was a good enjoyable short read if you´re into this type of books (and some really kinky stuff, like pet roleplay kinda kinky). I rated 3 stars because it was obviously not a book made for me, but nonetheless it helped me take my mind off things, so maybe if you´re into bdsm books, you may wanna check this.

Fun little novella with steamy scenes between two Doms and their sub, Fiona. In a nice change, Fiona is an experienced sub and PI called into investigate shady doings at the exclusive BDSM club.

3.5 rounded to 4 because the sub has a profession and owns her own business.

Heroine had a bad run-in with the BDSM lifestyle and now her new case takes her to a club where her two "bodyguards" heal her past trauma. Characters were okay, plot was fine, but it just wasn't a "wow" factor for me. Not sure what I was expecting, but a quick read nonetheless.

☆☆☆☆ (GR's app is not being cool recently, so I'll make my own star rating!!!!

Something different for a change of pace. It was a hot, sexy bdsm story, not a dark one, not over the top, to me at least. I like a sex club based romance now and then and this was not as explicit as some I've read but it was just what I was looking for this weekend. The protectiveness the H's had toward the h even made it a little bit swoony and sweet. I could see where the story was headed sometimes, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of it. I already have the next one on my Kindle, when I get a chance to read it.

  • Fantasy Land Romance Reader

So I read the first shorter version of this book, and it was good. I really did enjoy that one and didn't think it could get any better. But Tara did make it better and grew from the story she had already put out. This one is emotionally better and brings the characters deeper into each other. I really loved this book. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

    Actually 3.5 stars

Claiming Fifi wants to be all things to everyone - a romantic suspense novel about private detectives going after a man who terrorizes and abuses his partners, a BDSM love story between a submissive woman and the doms who adore her, and a book about a woman recovering from unacknowledged PTSD and an abusive relationship. It succeeds at doing all of those things fairly well, though sometimes it doesn't always integrate the parts of the story well (particularly the story line about Fiona's mental health, and the over the top ending). Still, it's a well written book, and a good start to a new series.

    Submitting for love

3.5 *s Fiona was a strong willed smart woman, but her stubbornness was irritating. Her unwillingness to be truthful to her Dom's when their intentions were clear made no sense. Then out of no where she broke thru on her own which didn't feel realistic. Their chemistry though was off the charts. The pet play was a little much for me, but was well written. I liked that the Dom's were humanized and worked through personal issues as well.

  • Angela

    More depth

Good characters. Good story. But I wanted more depth and more chemistry between the characters. Yes the sub/dom relationship can be intense, but I wanted more.

  • Kait

Don’t get me wrong, there were parts of this I really enjoyed but there were also parts I didn’t particularly care for.

  • Angela

Got this on free Stuff Your Kindle Day. It started out strong, then puttered out. The mysteries she investigated as a PI were ridiculously easy to solve, to the point that it was silly. She basically got the answer handed to her which felt lazy and the romance between the ménage trio felt forced and superficial. The main action was two weeks getting to know each other/fall “in love” and two weeks separated by lame conflict in my opinion. Everybody is all in forever, really? I am also not a fan of menage stories that don’t even attempt to explain the dynamic or why two males decide to share a woman, and this book has two thruples with no depth to why they share. The men within the menages are just presented almost as if they are one unit but they are all wealthy and attractive, so it feels like a legitimate question to find out what they get out of sharing to make it more meaningful. Wouldn’t really recommend this book and sequel does not necessarily grab me.

  • Rhonda

Fiona is hired by Xavier to find out who took pictures in his private BDSM club. Since escaping her abusive Dom two years ago, she hasn't set foot in a club but she reluctantly agrees to help by going undercover as a submissive. Adrian and Brody haven't been to the club since their submissive died in a skiing accident 2 years ago. When they all see each other again, sparks fly but the guys feel guilty at first. Can they put the past behind them and help each other heal? And what happens when Fiona's abusive Dom shows up with a new submissive? The story is a quick read and has been added too since the first edition came out. Very good, but I felt the ending was rushed a bit. Still a good story though and I will recommend it to anyone!

  • lynn❤️lynn

I actually enjoyed this read. Fifi is actually her name when her Dons are playing, I loved this fact. There were clear decisions between normal day and when play started. Not a 24/7 relationship, allowing Fi to be an independent strong woman in her own right most of the time. She just falls for 2 Dons who were send, or rather manipulated into looking after her. Friends, match makers, who would have them.
Lovely read, that I would easily read again...great. Just not brilliant enough...still looking for that illusive book that I just can not put down. Enjoyable, but just not that.

I started another series by Tara Crescent, 'The Club Menage.' It centers around the Club Menage. Claiming Fifi features love, romance, mystery, and a happily ever after.
Tara Crescent creates intriguing characters and a compelling storyline. Claiming Fifi is a well-written story with many details and descriptions to give the reader the feeling of being in the story and the club.
Ms. Crescent has given her readers an exciting look into the lifestyle with this full-fledged story. It's not just about sexy but has a pretty fantastic storyline complete with twists and turns, kidnapping, and all sorts of things designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. It does contain lots of steaminess as well.
I am taking a little break from Tara Crescent's book, but pretty soon, I will continue with her works because I like how the way this author writes her stories and series.

  • Metalkarin

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the narration.
The storyline is good, the characters have a few layers to keep things interesting, and it’s steamy enough for my liking.

I liked having a narrator for each character. I would have loved it when they would have narrated all lines from their characters. So not just their parts but also when they speak in the others’ POV, like in duet narration but then for three. Now how would that be called triplets/trilogy/3-ways…

  • crazipotmom

I enjoyed this book so much that I read it in 2 days and I could not put it down I had stuff to do and the book came first I'll be reading the second one right now I just can't get enough I got this book given to me free for my honest opinion the only problem is I can't remember who gave it to me

Book #1, Club Ménage series. This first book in Tara Crescent's new series is hot, steamy and beyond stellar!

For the past two years, Fiona Clarke's lived in a self-imposed prison. Oh, she denies it, but she's there nonetheless. A disastrous foray into BDSM left her scarred and scared. As a private investigator, Fiona isolates and submerges herself in work. That all changes when Xavier Leforte appears, offering a $100,000 contract. Why? Ostensibly to investigate a blackmail case at his BDSM club, Club Ménage. Fiona's not at all sure about this. BDSM? Something she's sworn off forever? But the money would certainly be welcome. What harm could it truly do? Apparently far more than she knows. She remembers Brody Payne and Adrian Lockhart from her time with Raymond, her former Dom. And they're members of Club Ménage. In fact, Xavier's gone so far as to ask them to mentor her. As Fiona takes the case and meets with Adrian and Brody, she could never anticipate the outcome. Is there chemistry? You'd better believe it! But BDSM requires 100% honesty. Fiona can't even be honest with herself. How can she enter into even a mentoring relationship? More troubling is the fact that both Brody and Adrian are well aware she's not telling the truth. But Adrian and Brody have their own demons. And, unknowingly, they're not completely forthright with Fiona either. As Fiona's past reappears with a vengeance and puts her in mortal peril, absolutely nothing is certain. When Brody and Adrian's pasts are thrown into the mix, it becomes a perfect storm that has the potential to destroy all three. Can Fiona pull down her walls, face her past, even survive? What about Brody and Adrian? Is it possible for them to push past the traumas that haunt them? If they can't, everything the three have tried to build will come crashing down around them!

Tara Crescent is another favorite author. Ménage is one of my favorite subgenres of erotica, and I absolutely loved this book. Ms. Crescent has created very well-developed characters who pull you into the story from the first page. I personally related to Fiona on so many levels. She's smart as a whip, brave, and independent. She's also vulnerable, hurting, and unwilling to let anyone, including herself, know just how badly scarred she is. Brody and Adrian are marvelous. They're true dominants. Dominance is central to their existence, but they aren't arrogant, pushy, or abusive. They're also damaged and broken in their own ways. This story is so much more than just a ménage relationship. It plumbs the depths of Fiona, Brody, and Adrian's lives, both past and present, and their every emotion. The way Ms. Crescent's able to intertwine the perceived failures and actual traumas of Fiona, Adrian, and Brody with the ongoing uncertainty, mystery, and danger facing them all shows her skill as an author. I fell in love with Fiona, Brody, and Adrian. But the book wouldn't be as fantastic as it is without the backstory of these characters and the minor characters: Xavier, Layla, Rafael, Lina, Sandy, and even Avery. This is a beautifully written book, and I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series, which is currently available for preorder on Amazon. Congratulations, Ms. Crescent! This book is amazing! I can't give it anything less than five stars!

One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author. She works very hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading

    Good read

Nicely written story, it's romantic with a soft BDSM storyline. It's definitely more story then kinky naughtiness. But is great crossover read if your prefer books on the scale of romantic rather then heavy BDSM. Also a good read if you like multiple characters points of view in a book.

  • Cat Hoffpauir

Such a good book. I really enjoyed the three main characters, and how they interact. The sex was everything I could ask for. Sexy, kinky, and loving. The plot was well laid. I didn’t get distracted by any spelling or grammar mistakes.
Can’t wait to read more from this author. I’m super curious about the next book in particular. I’m always fascinated by fire play, and hopefully she’s put some in there after all the teasing in this book.

Neither wants to feel the pain of that kind of loss again so have avoided commited relationships for the past two years. Even worse, Adrian blames himself for his friends death (for not heeding the warning signs) and for his subs accident (he suggested the trip).

But fate (or the owner of Club Menage) is about to intervene in their lives and bring this trio together. First, by hiring Fiona to go undercover at Club Menage to disover and expose the perpetrator of a possible blackmail of one of the members; and second, convincing Adrain and Brody to be her guides at the club and protect her. But there is more to this investigation than what she's told. And Adrian and Brody, who only want a D/s relationship in the Bedroom, are going to be hard pressed balancing their need to let Fiona be who she wants to be outside the bedroom with their need to protect her and keep her safe.

This was a great story involving D/s. It's three people who must heal each other before they can admit their love and finally engage in a committed relationship . Club Trio, la série – Tara Crescent

    « Follement inventifs… Diaboliquement… sensuelle. »

    Amour.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

Fifi is done with dominants. Been there, had one, have the scars to prove it. She is all about work now and growing her private investigator business. She has no time for anything else. Then, a mysterious client hires her to investigate a case of blackmail at Club Menage and he assigns her a pair of guards. two men who knew her at her worst: Adrian Lockhart and Brody Payne. She has always been attracted to them. Always imagined what it would feel like to be bent over their knees. Always craved their firm touch on her body. But every instinct tells her to leave them alone. She has been burned before after all. She needs to turn down the job. To walk away and stay safe. She should listen to that voice of self preservation, but she doesn't She is damaged and so are they. One night will ruin them forever.

I have to say that I don't think there is a menage story that Tara Crescent has written that I haven't loved. Claiming Fifi is no different. Fifi is determined never to be dominated by a man again. She has been burned by that in the past and has learned the lesson. When Xavier hires her to find out who took pictures in his very private BDSM club she is super reluctant to agree. She has finally escaped her abusive Dom and has not set foot in a club in two years. But, she agrees to help by going undercover as a submissive. When her guards are assigned they are all super shocked to see each other again and the sparks fly immediately. You see they use to all see each other in clubs as Adrian and Brody also haven't been in a club since their submissive died in a skiing accident. Get ready for your kindle and your heart to melt. This story will suck you in from the very beginning and will not let you go until the very end. There are also some moments that will have you one the edge of your seat. As I said before Tara Crescent writes such amazing menage romances there is just no way that you will not love Claiming Fifi. I so look forward to reading all the book in this series as Claiming Fifi is the first book in her new Club Menage Series.
