At barely eighteen, London-born Harry has already been making a name for himself in the New York and London art circles with his otherworldly and haunting fairy-tale paintings. When he relocates to New York to be with his mother and his new stepdad, the world-renowned Dr. Lewis, his life takes an extraordinary turn of events that brings the family to the derelict Fairchild mansion in the strange little town of Havenwood Falls.
Harry soon discovers the history of Havenwood Falls doesn't always remain in the past. When the ghost of the fae-blooded Emeline Fairchild makes her presence known, Harry begins to fear he's losing his mind. He's heard stories of the greats going mad with their creativity and believes he might be following in their footsteps.
The truth is even more tragic. Not even out of high school, Harry is set to blaze a trail of light with his precocious talent, but fate has another terrible future in store. One that even the supernaturally talented Dr. Lewis can't fix.
As Harry finds love in the present, he has to look toward a future where the past is his only hope.

This was an absolutely great story to read but it's so difficult to write about because to do so would inadvertently give spoilers. Let's just say that the characters aren't only what they seem to be. What could be a story to bring tears actually might bring you happiness depending on your take on the events. There is love, romance, suspense, and surprises in this story that make it a wonderfully exciting tale. I only have one negative point and that is that I am not sure about the fate of the newborn baby mentioned in the epilogue. Am I meant to guess, or will there be a sequel to this story?? I wish I knew. Apart from that, this gets a thumbs up from me.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers' copy of this book. -
This is an emotional story that that has you hooked from the beginning, makes you love the characters and bring tears to your eyes. It unfolds beautifully and illustrates well the complexities of love, and good and evil. This story has suspense, surprises, excitement, romance and love. It is a wonderful, heart breaking tale of contrasts and an excellent addition to the Havenwood Falls High series.

I received this as an ARC in exchange for my review.
I am so torn over what to rate this book. From an analytical standpoint it was very good. It was well written and I couldn't help but care very much about the characters. And it made me feel which is an accomplishment in itself.
I was intrigued by Harry's artistic sense and his ability to see what was hidden even if he didn't understand that's what he was doing. I would have loved to see that explored more thoroughly. Harry and Mia's love story was both sweet and bittersweet.
Spoiler Alert!!! However, I do not understand why Dr. Underwood couldn't heal Harry. I know it would have ruined this story if he had, but since he healed so many others in Fata Morgana, I don't understand why he couldn't heal Harry. I hated that Harry had to die. He had so much more to do, so much more life to live. I liked the insinuation that Harry's baby sister was destined to become the devil's bride, but felt that whole deal with the devil angle didn't fit in the Havenwood Falls universe. Face it, the devil is part of the Christian world and reincarnation, magic, fairies, vampires, werewolves etc., aren't. So while this story is quite good, I'm not sure it fits in with the rest of the Havenwood Falls stories. Just my humble opinion.
Kudos to the author for putting together a story that captures the contrasts of good/evil, light/dark and life/death so well. I loved the reincarnation angle too. RIP Henry and Emeline. -
Forever Emeline is the first book I’ve read in the Havenwood Falls High series, or any of the Havenwood Falls series for that matter. To give you an idea of how much I adore this novella, upon finishing it I immediately purchased the first two volumes (3 novellas in each) of the YA series. Each is a stand alone story written by a different author so there is no order they must be read. They do share two things–the world of Havenwood Falls and the fantasy/paranormal romance genre. It’s the most brilliant setup ever!
Forever Emeline, like the world of Havenwood Falls, is not at all what it seems. When I began reading about Harry and his family on their relocation journey to Havenwood Falls, I was instantly charmed by Harry’s London accent. Yeah, I know it’s a book, but trust me…you can hear it. As I started to learn about the town of Havenwood Falls and its residents, along with Harry, I thought I knew what was going on. Boy, was I wrong. What I knew was in fact correct, but it only scratched the surface. There are so many layers to this remarkable tale, and I was genuinely surprised as each was peeled back.
The characters are written as if God himself breathed life into them. You can’t help but fall in love with this cast. I truly feel as though I have been to Havenwood Falls and met these folks, which is why I couldn’t wait to go back and meet more of them! This story made me believe. Trust me when I tell you this is a must read for all fans of fantasy and paranormal genres. Also, you might want to keep some tissues handy. It’s not necessarily sad. It’s beautiful and poetic and hopeful. OK, it’s a little sad, too. 😉
Forever Emeline is going on my Favorite Reads of 2018 list! -
This is my first time reading any of Katie M. John's books and I truly admire how well she wrote Forever Emeline. The characters still need some fleshing out and more to their own stories, however, Harry was brought to life with each word. I know we were introduced to Harry in another Havenwood Falls High story, so he was a familiar character. Harry is complex and multi faceted for an 18 year old. His art is an extension of him and the way he views the world. His relationship with Mia happened fast but with all things he faces, it seemed genuine. Emeline, she was there for Harry while going through everything, even though she's a ghost. I know there could be another story to come since Mia mentioned Harry's baby sister's name is Devina, so we know that Jared made a deal that didn't work in his favor. I was very saddened with the ending and I do recommend tissue. The moral I got from the story and what Harry left to his loved ones, live, love, laugh and be happy. Thank you for another addition to Havenwood Falls High.

Truly amazing addition to the Havenwood Falls Series!!!
Forever Emeline is a Novella by Katie M. John. I have to admit that I wasn't sure about several authors writing with a cohesive vision of a complex and diverse setting like this series, but I'm blown away with each installment. Each novella is stand alone and builds one every other story and characters. With each novella, I can't wait to read more and find out more of the hidden secrets that are so a part of this world. This Novella again finds a new resident, a London native Harry Lewis finding his way to Havenwood falls with his sister, pregnant mom and step-dad. I really don't want to give too much away with this one, but I do want to share that it was beautifully written and the wonderful Ms. John captured the characters and subject matter amazingly well. The story is heartbreaking at times, but leaves the reader with a feeling of hope. I can't wait to read more from this brilliant author!!!! -
Beautiful but bring Tissues
I have to admit I truly loved this story even though I spent a lot of the reading crying. It was one of these stories that pulled at your heartstrings and you cannot help feel the emotions coming off of the page.
There was a lot of emotions brought forth in this story. The stories about some of the character were well understood. It is always enjoyable learning more about the other characters that make up the town and learning more back stories of the old families.
The only issue I had with the story was the twist with Emeline and Harry. I feel it just threw confusion into the mix. That back story just came out of left field and took some away from Mia and Harry's story. If you were going to do this there should have been more hints throughout the book. It just threw off the pace for me and I could have done without it.
Until Next Time... Tabi -
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher. I am seriously addicted to this series and I don't even care for romance. This is a lovely ghost story that will give you a serious case of the feels. It is hard not to be drawn in and imagine what these characters are going through as we get to know Harry. This book has a bit of a different feel than the other books I have read in the series, it is sadder. If you have read other books in the series you will see a few of the other town members we have been introduced to; for example, we find out some more things about Dr. Underwood and his family. I am looking forward to seeing more of Emeline, Harry, and Mia in the future!

All. The. Feels!
Everything Katie John writes is devine, but I have to say Harry Lewis stole my heart. I haven’t read any of the Havenwood Falls High novellas and now curious to read the previous ones.
Forever Emeline is not what I expected. This review is not going to give a synopses and ruin it for those who haven’t read it. For those that read the book don’t have to reread the plot. Anyways, one instantly becomes fond of the characters and become attached to them, not wanting to put the book down.
Secretly hope there is a book about Ellie, but that’s just me. I recommend this book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -
This book had me from page one and then all the way to the end. This book had it all, it had laughter, it had love and then it had the sadness that you wouldn't expect. This book had me going through all of the emotions that you could think of. By the end of the book I had tears falling down my face and that has only happened to me through maybe 3 to 4 books. Now I can say it has happened through 5 books. Katie M. John has some mad writing skills as with all of the authors in this series and the series of Havenwood Falls. Go grab your copy now as you will not be disappointed and I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Heartbreaking yet perfectly written. Harry and his sister have moved from New York to Havenwood Falls just before Christmas time his senior year. He is an amazing artist and very down to earth young man. His first day at the new school he meets Mia. She is super nice and sweet. Don't want to give you any spoilers, but this story is just wonderful. There is a town full of supers, a haunted house and even young love. What more could you ask for...go read this!!

I really enjoyed Forever Emeline, the path this story took was new and different for me. I thought I had it pegged. It proved me wrong. Katie's writing is captivating and refreshing. I can't wait to see what else she brings to the Havenwood Falls.
I highly recommend this book if your new to Havenwood Falls High, long time readers, or needing something new. Don't let this one slip through the cracks! -
Forever Emeline was my intro to author Katie M. John. For a novella, she hit a home run. In a short number of pages she pulled me, made me fall in love with the characters, and then politely ripped my heart out. This was definitely a first for me. I say "politely ripped my heart out" because the ending didn't leave me banging my head against the wall or cussing at the author. It was beautiful and poetic. I cannot say more without spoiling the novella. Forever Emeline is the most heart wrenching, romantic story I have read in the Havenwood Falls series.

This actually was a very sad book. It was sweet and poignant as well. I've never read a Havenwood Falls book quite like this one. The characters are memorable and the dialogue is touching. The conclusion is extremely well done. It's hopeful and I can't wait to see what happens next with Mia. Though I'm feeling a little depressed by the books events, I certainly can acknowledge that this author is tremendously talented!

This is a new to me author but holy goodness! The feels in here. This was a quick read, I could NOT put it down. We learned a little about Emeline in
Inamorata, so I was really excited to learn what REALLY happened. I was kind of expecting it to be a Legends novella but I was blown away how the author tied it into current day. Amazing job! -
I was given this book for my unbiased honest review. Where to begin I was hooked from the beginning. I love the over all story line the emotions are truly heart string pulling. The way the story unfolded was beautiful. As this author is new to me I am truly great full to be able to try her writing out. I really love this story.
-
Be prepared to read threw tear filled eyes, this is a beautiful story of about the things that love can make us do and how we touch each other’s lives in life and death.
-
A great read. Kept me in tears.

I started off reading this book, not knowing what it was about. When I got in to the book, it brought me back to two years ago with my mom. The amount of tissues that I used during this book was 4. Yes, you will need tissues for this book. It’s hauntingly beautiful in a way that most won’t find the beauty in.
This is the first book I have read by the author and it isn’t going to be the last. She words float off of the pages and make you believe in the wonderful-ness that life is. -
This is a beautiful story. I cried while reading this story because it really did touch me. I honestly don't have the words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. The emotion in this book are so real. I felt for the characters. I would love to see more stories about them in Havenwood Falls. Really a great story.
