There is a sixth book about Pete and Jesse.........AHHH I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DIDN'T THINK WE WOULD EVER SEE A BOOK ABOUT THEM BUT HERE IT IS AND IT HAS A COVER TOO!!!! I AM SO STICKEN EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

If any of you guys did not know, I love this series so much! It is one of my favorite series in the world!!!

I have a horrible habit of putting off reading the last book in a series I've loved because then that would mean there are no more books to look forward to. Completely irrational, since I know the author has another exciting series coming. All the books have been full of adventure, action, and angst, and this one is no different. Pete and Jess have provided some of the relationship drama in the previous books, and it was satisfying for them to finally grow, communicate, and have a resolution. They had quite the build-up! There is also a romance between Esme/Shea and a young man she met in the previous book, which gave us a nice break from the Pete and Jess drama. The murder case involving Esme's friend also comes to an end with the unexpected villain made known and it brought the elements of suspense and danger to the plot. It was nice to have everything wrapped up, and I'm ready for some fresh love stories from the author!

(I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)

Totally & utterly outrageous. This series (of which this is the 6th & final book) is sometimes quite frankly everything but reality. Every one of each major character goes through multiple near death, high intensity, level of stress out of this world experiences. Considering Pete & Jess have been featured throughout the entire series as a will they/won't they couple - it's amazing they are even still alive. But get this. The outrageous is what turns the pages. The crazy unbelievable is what keeps us coming back for more. Book after book after book. Susan May Warren is a master at writing not only the suspense, and the you couldn't have guessed it if you tried twists - but the soul wrenching emotions you feel as you loose yourself in the middle of this SAR team. I have been hooked on this series from the beginning.

I am reminded why I reserve the 5 star rating for reviews as my gold standard. When you read something that literally takes your breath away, your regular 'that was a pretty awesome book' rating is no longer good enough. 'Wait for Me' earns this hands down.

I was lost in the Bob. I was churning over Pete's heartbreak. I was wishing Felipe would disappear back to France. I was wondering when the Sheriff was going to show up. I was inwardly begging Jess to finally do the right thing. Amongst it all, I was reminded of why God is the One that can teach us about true love. Charity. The anti-dote to fear. That goodness exists in this world and is expressed by many people, everyday.

I will miss this gang. What crazy adventure does this author have ready for us next?!!!

Thanks to Revell for the eARC. This is my honest review.

Such a fantastic, absolutely fabulous book. I really enjoyed this entire series. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and am collecting her books. Such a great journey. Each book was very well written.

Wait for Me is the sixth and, sadly, last book in the Montana Rescue series. After being slightly disappointed with the last book, Storm Front, I am happy that this one lived up to my expectations and I found it to be a great read.

I loved finally reading Jess and Pete's love story. Even though their story has been building throughout the previous books, this one was definitely their story. I also enjoyed the secondary romance between Esme and Ned.

The mystery in this book was great. It had me questioning things I thought were true and I liked the danger scenes as well.

All in all, Wait for Me was a satisfying conclusion to the Montana Rescue series. I recommend the book.

Full disclosure: This was my first foray into the Montana Rescue series, and to be blunt, I was not adequately prepared for the thrill ride that awaited me. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Taylor, the synopsis mentions: broken hearts, terrible fights, characters taken captive AND murderous intent how could you NOT be prepared?” And, honestly, all I can say to that is that I severely underestimated this book’s ability to make me care about these characters and their drama-filled plot lines. I pick up so many books across myriad genres that have action-packed summaries, but fail to deliver engaging stories within their pages. It’s almost like the more I see on the back of a book the more likely I’m to be let down by the lack of new details inside. Which is why I couldn’t be more thrilled to report that Warren’s story totally disproved this theory. Not only did this suspenseful contemporary have me hooked from the very first page, but, more importantly, it also introduced me to characters that I felt connected to on a very real level.

Now don’t get me wrong, coming into the final book of a six-deep series, isn’t necessarily ideal. While Warren gives consistent backstory details about these established characters, I did find myself struggling – initially -- to remember who was dating whom and how there stories interconnected. However, once I got the hang of things, I found myself simultaneously wanting to stop this current read in order to go back and devour the previous companion novels while also wanting to speed read through Wait For Me to see if these duos reached their “happily ever after eternity.”

And while the action from the search and rescue teams is definitely an excellent page-turning technique, what truly elevated this addictive installment were the glimpses into the characters struggles to find themselves. From Ned’s fear of being honest about his professional goals, and Shae’s struggle to take control of her past and stop being a victim to Jess choosing between a life she wants and a life dictated for her, these internal moments made the story feel raw, honest, and relatable. While I can’t imagine fleeing a bear, escaping captors, or smokejumping, I can imagine fighting doubt, fear, expectations, and a perpetual state of “what if.” I think this is where Warren and the underlying Christian message in her novel really shines. She points out time and again that even under extreme situations if we can live our truth, lead with our hearts, trust in God, and remember we’re not alone we can tackle any obstacle.

I enjoyed my time in Mercy Falls, Montana and can’t wait to visit again soon via the previous novels in this series. If you’re looking for an uplifting read, with restrained romances to cheer for, I’d recommend giving Wait For Me a shot.

    3.5 stars
In many ways, this was one of the best in the series, since it had to move beyond dragging out the drama to another few books and get the issues all taken care of by the end of the book/series. I wasn't sure at first if I was going to read this book because Pete and Jess annoyed me so much the last few books with their refusal to just come out and talk through their problems, and it was good to watch them start to talk through it.

I was disappointed in the faith thread because it was very present in some ways but in others was exceedingly generic, and when Pete lost Jess he didn't turn to it...he self-destructed again. To the point that he and I had a big issue with that element. Also the faith question never crosses Jess's mind when she is tangled up with two men who want to marry her; the other man seems to have either no or very little faith and who knows what that faith might be in, because no one ever mentions it. Many folks are willing to pray in the middle of danger and that doesn't mean they believe in God or trust in Jesus. So the spiritual lessons are there but only would be edifying in the context of having a reader who already knows what faith is.

But the survival parts were non-stop thrill and had me on the edge of my seat. The mystery is weaker (there really aren't any clues to go off of) so that leaves it more as a reaction to danger rather than anything to figure out. Very much an outdoors man-against-nature focus with a dose of "danger from another man" thrown in.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free reading copy. A favorable review was not required.

Susan May Warren is one of those author that I am always following- watching and waiting for a new book to snag up. She has such a way of writing characters and situations that keep me invested and interested from beginning to end. I love the added elements of suspense and adventure that fill up my mind and keep me on the edge of my seat. Every book, every series by this author is so good!

I have been waiting for this book with anticipation and bit of dread too. It's the last book in this series which is awesome because all those loose ends were tied up nicely. I have been looking forward to the resolution I knew this book would finally bring for the characters I've been attaching myself to in every book. That felt really good. The dread comes from knowing this series is officially over and now I have to leave these friends behind. BUT. I know there will be something equally great coming because this author and I can't wait to see what it is!

I would highly recommend reading this series in order. You will be utterly lost if you don't. Each book revolves around multiple people who's stories build throughout each book progressively.

Content: peril, some violence, kissing, Christian Fiction

Wait for Me is the sixth and the final book in the Montana Rescue series. I think I liked this one best of all in the series. It has more suspense in it then the other books. This book got my attention from the get go and didn't let go until the end. This book focuses on on Pete and Jess who also goes by the name Selene and on Ned and Shae who formerly went by the name Esme Shaw. After an argument with Pete Jess accepts a ride with Ned and Shae but almost immediately their lives are in danger. Who wants them dead? Jess thinks it could be someone from her past who wants revenge because of what her father did. Shae was a witness to her boyfriend's murder some five years earlier and she thinks this person has discovered her identity and is after her. I was kept in suspense until the end trying to guess who the bad guy was in all of this and it was not who I suspected. Just when you think it is over and everyone is safe and happy there are some twists. I highly recommend this book.

I received this ARC book compliments of LibraryThing's Early Review program and the publisher Revell. This book will be published on November 6, 2018.

Wait for Me follows the story of Pete and Jess. It the the 6th and final book in the series. I haven’t read any of the books in the series, so I will admit that I was a bit confused at times. That’s totally just from not reading the first five books though. ; )

Overall, this was a really enjoyable book! The storyline was interesting and I loved the suspense side of things. I never quite knew how everything was going to turn out. I also have to say that I just loved the characters. I really want to go back and read the other books now. : )

I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. As I stated earlier, this is the only book in the I’ve read but I was impressed! I definitely recommend giving the series a try as I hope to do soon. : )

“I received a free copy of this book from Revell in exchange of my honest review. All thoughts are my own.”

Nice conclusion to the Montana Rescue Series! Finally Pete and Jess as the main focus. The side story of Ned and Esme was enjoyable and wrapped up loose ends from the series.

'I might be less apt to blame myself if I actually believed that God was on my side, that I wasn't a screw-up that had it coming.'

Susan May Warren finally gives her loyal readers Pete Brooks and Jess Taggert's story. And what a story it is! We have suffered with, trusted for and longed for this couple for several books now. Warren delivered magnificently with their own book, too.

Pete Brooks has always felt like a screw-up, always jumping in, putting his life on the line, never stopping to think what might be the consequences of his actions. But he loves Jess Taggert. Loves her in a way he didn't even imagine could be possible. But Jess has hurt him so much. She has promised to be there for him several times and yet several times has left. Pete doesn't think he can handle anymore, doesn't believe any reason Jess gives him will be enough to soothe his pain. But he can't get this woman out of his heart. She has a permanent place there, no matter what she does.

Jess Taggert has always just wanted to not cause pain to anyone. She doesn't want to be the cause of anymore problems. Ever. She can't bear to hurt anyone else again. Even if she destroys her own heart in the process. She just can't grasp the fact that she can't please everyone all the time. Even if she tries and gives it her all, somebody is going to get hurt. But she loves Pete. She loves him so much.

This couple has had a place in my heart for several books now. When I first met them, I wanted them to have a happy ending. But oh, the pain they endure. Susan May Warren always manages to pack so much emotion in her books, it's absolutely incredible. We FEEL the pain these folks are going through, are right there in the danger they face, and believe me, there is plenty of danger here, for someone is stalking them in the desolate, wintry woods. And she also manages to include such a powerful spiritual thread in the midst of all this emotion. God is our rescuer, not someone else. We just have to trust Him and lean into Him and allow His sweet peace and healing to flood our hearts. This is the message here. We may think we know the best way, but God truly does know the best way.

We see more of Shae Johnson here and Ned Marshall and we also meet a few folks that I feel, at least, I hope, Warren will give us more of in a future book or books. Because I think they have a story to tell. I never, ever miss a Susan May Warren book and they all sit proudly on my shelves. Definitely worth a re-read, all of them. Highly recommended.

*My thanks to the publisher and author for a preview copy of this book. The opinions stated here are entirely my own.

What a roller-coaster ride! The emotions, the tension, the action—it was up, down, around, and loop-the-loop all the way through this story. And Pete and Jess—ahhh! Heart in a tangle!

I’ve been anticipating this story so much that there was a very real possibility I had built it up beyond all realistic expectations. Given the author is Susan May Warren, I should have known better than to doubt. This was absolutely riveting from the first page to the last. It had the harrowing man vs nature suspense that I have loved so much about this series, with the added thrill of knowing that someone was out there after them. And remember those loop-the-loops I mentioned? Yeah, there were a few times I really did get thrown for a loop and had everything I thought I knew turned on its head.

As with all the other books in this series, there are two couples featured in this story, but as much as I loved seeing the resolution to Esme/Shae’s story, I can’t deny that Pete and Jess took centre stage for me. They’ve been through so much throughout the series, and I wasn’t sure how much more angst I could handle. There were miscommunications and refusals to communicate, wounded pride leading to stubbornness, and let’s not forget an ex-or-maybe-not fiancé! In almost any other case, that would be too much drama for me to handle, but the way it plays out here alongside the search and rescue was dynamite, especially with both Pete and Felipe (the aforementioned fiancé) part of the search—both honourable and determined, but emotional powder-kegs just waiting for a spark to set them off. And concern for Jess is a pretty big spark!

Underpinning it all is a message about reckless, undeserved love: “True love—unconditional love—declares you worthy just because it chooses you. And there’s nothing you can do about it.” It’s “the kind of love that forgave and showed up and chased and forgave again and kept showing up, loving her when she didn’t have the courage to love back.”

It’s an intense read, but oh-so-good on so many different levels.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.

I usually love Susan May Warren’s writing, but this book didn’t really hit the same mark for me. Wait for Me is the final Montana Rescue installment, and it’s the tale of Pete Brooks and Jess Tagg at long last. Much of the story focuses on Jess’s personal history, a twisty romance, and the current drama of a sudden group abduction followed by a desperate search-and-rescue effort in the wilds of Montana.

Like Ian and Sierra’s romance, Pete and Jess’s story has been drawn out through several books, with scenes here and there advancing and regressing their romance. And like Ian and Sierra’s romance, by the time Pete and Jess’s story finally unfolds fully in Wait for Me, I was just ready for them to stop the one-step-forward-two-steps-back dance they’ve been doing the whole series.

To be honest, I would’ve been more interested in Jess and Pete if their romance had played out solely as a secondary storyline in the other Montana Rescue books, how Warren handled Ian’s niece Shae’s story. I didn’t see a need for them to have their own installment. Wait for Me is a solid romantic adventure, but its protagonists have already gotten sufficient page time, and it gets a little bogged down in secondary plot lines. Felipe seems unnecessary, and the bad guy needs to be a little more fleshed out.

Don’t get me wrong: if you love Susan May Warren’s books, you’ll enjoy Wait for Me. The search-and-rescue backbone of this series is fascinating. Plus, romance, intrigue, adventure, a final chance to catch up with all the Montana Rescue characters you’ve come to love. It just isn’t my personal favorite of the series.

  • Brittany

What a wonderful feeling to finish this series, have the answers, and see all of the happily-ever-afters that have built throughout each and every book. But it was also hard to know that I was reading the final book in the Montana Rescue series, as I have enjoyed these novels so much. I guess I will just need to go back and enjoy re-reading them in the future! And this is definitely a series that readers should read in its entirety. The individual novels have some continuing situations that are not all fully resolved until Wait for Me.

I enjoyed this story so much! I loved the adventure of it, yet for me, the best part was the intense back and forth of Jess and Pete’s story. I liked the way that the author allowed the reader to peek back into the past year and see glimpses of what went right and what went wrong for Jess and Pete. These two went through so much, both physically and emotionally in this story, and both of them had a lot of growing to do! And they did! Jess and Pete both learned so much and grew in their walks with God, as well as in their understanding of the love that they had for each other.

In all of the Montana Rescue novels, there have been two love stories going on in each book. Wait for Me was no exception, and I so enjoyed the romance and devotion that developed between Shae and Ned. Their love story was a wonderful addition to the plot.

I highly recommend Wait for Me, along with the entire Montana Rescue series.

An action-packed, adventure story infused with grace and truth. Loved it! Recommended. Grab a copy from KU or buy one today :)

    Quotes . . .

“Maybe it feels easier to blame yourself than to simply admit that stuff happens and you have no control over it.”

“But love says it doesn’t matter. True love—unconditional love—declares you worthy just because it chooses you. And there’s nothing you can do about it.” The words settled in Pete’s gut, made a fist.

First, if I wanted to be free, then I had to stop letting fear win. I had to stop being a victim and fight back with everything inside me.” “And second?” “That God never intended me to fight my battles alone. That’s why he gave me family.”

Maybe loving Pete was dangerous, and yes, sometimes people got hurt. But perhaps that was what love looked like too. Not perfect, but raw and jagged and terrifying and wounding . . . and beautiful and overwhelming and completely, wonderfully out of her control.

But maybe that’s what love felt like. Abundance. Flinging yourself into eternity for all you’re worth, your life abandoned into the arms of a good Father who loves you.

From the Author’s Note: “I wanted to write a story about a woman who just didn’t want to cause any more problems, didn’t want to hurt anyone else, who just wanted everyone to be happy. The problem is, we can’t please everyone, and when we try, we end up making a mess. The best thing we can do is live in truth, love others well, and trust in the God who loves us enough to fix our messes.”

  • Sarita

So this final book in the series gave me a lot of action, suspense, adventure and some twists wrt who the "hunter" was. Susan May Warren kept be guessing and turning pages to see what will happen and there was a few heart-stopping moments.

She also did a great job of introducing the characters of her next series very subtly in the story line and peaked my interest to definitely read their stories.

The Biblical/life lessons was also great. However, I would have liked to see a stronger "finding salvation" moment for some of the characters, even though it was implied. Both Jess and Pete has a worldy/lost background, so some readers who prefer "clean" characters might night like their plot. I appreciate however how this author addresses situations/dirty pasts in her her characters, because if we are real, there is Christian out there who had to overcome that challenges and should not be something others should make them feel ashamed off.

The Jess/Selene story line felt a bit dramatic/not sure if I liked it. The Jess I've come to know and love in the series was a strong, brave independent women vs Selene who had no backbone and allowed other people to determine her future. I am glad Jess and Pete found their HEA and that Shae also had closure with her experience.

This was still a great adventurous series which I will recommend to be read in order.

Thank you to Caitlyn for lending me a kindle copy of this book.

I picked this book up and quite literally could not put it down until I finished reading it. Wait for Me is worth every hour of sleep sacrificed and then some! There isn’t anything boring or predictable about this highly anticipated romance.

Pete is irresistibly charming and courageous to boot. His surprising vulnerability makes me love him even more. When those tough (and a little bit wild) rescuer types are willing to reveal their raw and honest selves, that is to be cherished.

Jess is torn between two lives and two fiancés. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a guidebook for reconciling two very different lifestyles while keeping everyone in your life happy and bless her heart, that’s exactly what tender-hearted Jess wants to do.

The delightful complexity and pulse rocking adventure readers have come to associate with Warren’s expansive fictional universe shines once more in this exciting Montana Rescue series conclusion. I personally plan to binge read the entire series at my earliest opportunity!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

"I'm talking about God's love, Pete. You gotta starting trusting in God's love for you. For Jess. Lean into it. Let it change you. Let it set you free."

Pete Brooks is a risk taker, a rescuer, a real life hero, . . . . . . but he may have blown it when he walked away from the woman who asked him to wait. Now with her life on the line, he is expected to work alongside her once real, now fake fiance? Or is it once fake, now real fiance? Just what kind of hold does Felipe St. Augustine have over his Jess?

Jess Tagg took a big risk coming back to Montana, even for a weekend celebration among friends. Her temporary life, away from the spoils of a scandalized New York socialite, had been blessedly peaceful. But, it's Pete. It has always been Pete. It will always be Pete, in spite of the rumors circling through the tabloids. But did she confuse him one too many times, and will she ever have the chance to make things right? At the moment, she is fighting for her life and praying to the Lord above that Pete will come to her rescue. Again.

What a magnificent finish to a series that many will read over and over and over again.

  • Maida

Unputdownable, heart-pounding, action-packed romantic suspense novel revolving around not just one, but two fantastic love stories. On top of it all, it’s a Christian romance as well with the characters who were in mortal danger trusting God’s will at the same time that they try their hardest to rescue themselves.

Although I am coming into this series late (this is the first book I read and it’s the series ender), I didn’t feel lost in spite of the numerous named characters. It actually encouraged me to look up the previous five and add them to my to-be-read mountain of books.

Wait For Me had me turning page after page to find out how Pete and Jess will finally end up together and how the new romance between Shae and Ned develops, especially with Shae on the verge of death and with a killer still after her. It’s all very exciting and Ms. Warren’s writing is impeccable. She really takes the reader right in the middle of the book as if we’re witnessing the action as it happens.

I love that all the characters are capable, be they men or women. I love that Felipe is an upstanding guy, that he makes it hard for Jess to choose between him and Pete. Like I already said above, although they have faith in God, they don’t just wait to be rescued. Lastly, I love the family and community coming together to help each other out. Fantastic book. I highly recommend it.

  • Carrie Daws

What an excellent series! I tend to prefer historical fiction over contemporary, but Susan May Warren hooked me from the novella that kicked off this series and kept my interest throughout. I was looking for opportunities to spend time with these characters. If you like romance, some intrigue, and a lot of action, then these books are definitely worth trying.

  • Kim

Hold on to your armchair, it's a bumpy ride! Susan May Warren designs a spectacular ending to the Montana Rescue series. Not only is the saga of Jess and Pete wrapped, but we learn more about Ned and Shae and previous characters. With one danger after another, the series concludes with a shocking and satisfying end. More importantly, our favorite characters find peace and begin healing.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

  • Abbi

Finally, finally, FINALLY, we get Pete and Jess’s story! Their relationship has been in the background of the other books as they’ve faced obstacle after obstacle, but at last the wait is over and they get to take center stage to work things out once and for all!
Over this series Pete has changed and grown so much and it has been so cool to watch him transform from the cocky playboy to someone you can trust and count on. I loved his devotion to Jess, through everything she put him through his love never wavered, even when he tried to to convince himself to give up and move on his heart just couldn’t let her go. Pete wasn’t one to quit, not when it came to a rescue mission and not when it came to loving Jess Tagg.
On one hand I wanted to scream at Jess for staying away from Pete for so long, but on the other hand I can totally see how the confusion and family struggles could make things very complicated. She had lived to very different lives as two very different people and now she had to figure out how they fit together. I loved that no matter which world she was in she still was compassionate, caring about others. She was trying to make everyone happy and not hurt anyone but in reality it was just causing everyone pain. It took some time but through some harrowing circumstances she finally figured out who she really was.
Pete and Jess still had so many things to work through but I was cheering them on as they fought their way through to healing and love.
We also finally got closure on Shae’s (no spoilers) story and I was loved getting her and Ned’s story in this book as well!
I could not read this book fast enough wanted to see how everything would play out and how it would end! Thankfully due to school pick-up lines and trick-or-treat exhaustion that led to long naps for the girls I nanny I managed to get the whole thing read in less than 12 hours! Seriously this series is absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend it enough! Though it’s definitely one that should be read in order so make sure you start with the prequel novella then jump into book one! I’m sad to say goodbye to the PEAK Rescue Team but I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Wait for Me, written by Susan May Warren, is a great end to an awesome series!

I've been waiting for Pete's story so was thrilled to be able to read it finally!

I thought this writing style was a bit different than previous ones in the series because it had a lot of reminiscing. A lot of filling us in on things that happened between stories to keep us up to date on where their (Pete and Jess) heads were...or happenings between.

To say it was an edge of your seat kind of read is staying it mildly! Warren always has her exciting action scenes top of the line and this one isn't lacking to say the least!

Excellent drama between Pete, Jess, and Felipe...romance, fear factor, suspsense..it's all wrapped in one great read you must grab!

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. All thoughts and comments are my own.

"But perhaps that was what love looked like too. Not perfect, but raw and jagged and terrifying and wounding...and beautiful and overwhelming and completely, wonderfully out of her control. Because love gave all."

What an incredible conclusion to this epic series! As always, Susan May Warren packs in action, suspense, harrowing brushes with death and disaster, and quite a few twists and turns in the story to make you stay up way past your bedtime reading....and thinking, just one more page....
And the raw emotional intensity of the main characters is completely heart-wrenching and real. If you've read the previous books in the series, you've been impatiently waiting for Pete and Jess to have their story. Even if you haven't read any of the previous books, this particular book can be read as a stand alone because there are many flashbacks that make up the bulk of Pete and Jess' story that even the die-hard followers of the series have not be privy to in the other books.

Pete is a changed man and gone are his wild ways. He's still heroic, protective to a fault, and passionate but he's completely undone and broken and wounded by Jess who has returned to her glamorous lifestyle in NYC. Jess doesn't know who she is or what she wants and feels trapped. Felipe, Jess' previous fiance, actually plays a bigger role in the story than I thought he would and became quite likable even though he's competing against Pete for Jess. And then there are Ned and Shae. Ned is the younger version of Pete and so incredibly heroic. Shae has finally returned home to Mercy Falls, Montana not just to attend Ben and Kacey's wedding reception but also to find closure in her run from the man who killed her previous boyfriend. Each of these characters must learn to fight their fears to conquer them but also learn to ask for help from their friends, family, and God in conquering these fears. What a satisfying finale to an adrenaline-packed series full of rescue, grace, hope, love, joy, and faith.

I had the privilege to be able to read an ARC of Wait for Me and although I loved this series I LOVED this story and Pete in particular. Thank you Susan May Warren for the blessing of this book.
True love is one that never fades but grows stronger as we go in life~ even when we have to let it go in the hopes that it returns to us.
Jess and Pete fell in love while working together for PEAK Rescue in Montana. But when Jess's old life came back to haunt her she decided it was time to go home and try to fix what she felt she destroyed...her family and the broken heart of her fiancé Felipe.
When Jess left, Pete felt the air leave his lungs and life permanently. He followed her NYC and tried to convince her to return to Montana and asked her to marry him. She said yes but not yet. She needed to try and help her family heal. While there he met Felipe'.
Soon after he read in the paper that they were engaged.
But Pete was not willing to give up on their love yet.
He decided to follow Jess and Felipe' to Paris for the new year. When he arrived he tracked them down and was able to persuade Jess to spend some time with him and again he proposed. Again Jess said not yet. Once again Pete went back to Montana alone. But hopeful that she would come back to him. Time went by...no Jess.
    But there is always hope.
When I began the story I thought I would be drawn to them equally but I realized by the end of the story that although both had gone through much growth in all ways my heart fell for Pete. He loved her so completely that he knew he had to reach that point of letting go and letting God take care of her in the hopes that God would give him the desire of his heart.
