Laarn, Lord Healer of the Lathar, is about to become something unique among his people. He’s about to become a father… of a little girl. The first female child born for a generation. He’s studied childbirth, he’s confident that he has everything planned.

Unfortunately, as any human woman could tell him, having a baby doesn’t always go to plan…

This short story is set in the WARRIORS OF THE LATHAR world and is not a stand alone. It should be read after PREGNANT BY THE ALIEN HEALER and is a little bite of life story for those who fell in love with the Lathar and their mates.

Alien Healer’s Baby (Warriors of the Lathar, #3.5) Reviews

  • Angela (Angel's Guilty Pleasures)

Alien Healer's Baby is a short story focussing around the first Human/Lathar hybrid baby being born.

Laarn and Jess where in the book Pregnant by the Alien Healer. The Lathar have no idea about human child birth. This is a new experience for all, as is the arrival of a child; since the Lathar race has had no women for generations.

It's a sweet edition to showcase the birth of the first hybrid, its impact to those around her, and that life goes on. I enjoyed this short story.

    Three and a half
I've recently discovered this author as she's collaborating on a sci fi series with an author I follow. I was searching to see what else she's written and spotted this free story. Ok it's very short and clearly what I'd call a sneak peak into the world she has created but was well written and held my interest.
It's basically a snippet around one pretty significant event so no sexy times but it introduced to this reader characters and a situation that I'd happily read more about. No danger as such but angst and emotions oh and of course seeing the prospective father struggling was clearly a joy. I understood that these arrogant aliens had feelings and no matter how big, butch and macho their women can easily take them on. Plus the end had a sweetness that I hadn't expected. Yes its short but I didn't want to put it down until I'd finished so I think that tells me I should definitely read more by this author.

That was so cute! I am glad we got to experience the birth of that little nugget!

Jess was so funny! And kinda scary in labor😂
Laarn so “lost” with this whole “women labor thing”. It was cute.

    1st rating: 3.5 stars
    Genre/tropes: Sci-fi/romance/aliens
Cover: 2 stars - the kid’s cute. I am just not getting that “vibe” from it. Doesn’t match the series, what I mean by “vibe”.
    POV’s: Dual -3rd person (Laarn & Jess)
Will I recommend: Yes, but cannot be. read as a stand-alone

~I received a free, advance copy of this book from the author in exchange for my unbiased review.~

This is a book that was so cute that i want to read it along with the main book. I love the way this was written and the extreme Laarn had to do just to ease the pain of his mate's birthing. But what made me tear is the way the Latharian emperor held the baby. It was such a sweet moment.

I am looking forward to reading the next book of the series.

I liked this book/novella. It was a short and sweet continuation to the last book. Was it absolutely necessary to read? No. But it gave me a lot of warm and fuzzy feelings and I definitely enjoyed it.

    In her own time

This book is like a prolonged epilogue for the previous book and I loved it. Well really, what’s not to like. The author made sure this dad knows exactly what it means to give birth and the baby brought hope and connection when it was needed most. With each book I fall more in love with these warriors, especially the emperor. I really hope the author will eventually bring us his story. He will be over the top dominant alpha male, but the love he will share with his mate and children is sure to steal our hearts.

Her name is Miisan Amanda K Vass the First Princess in a generations to the Latharian race.

This was a cute 40 page novella that you can read in about half hour. I am glad it was free. I just think it should have been added into her parents storyline "Pregnant by the Alien Healer.

  • E.G. Manetti

Short follow-on to Pregnant by the Alien Healer, the story revolves around the delivery of Laarn and Jessica's baby girl. Nothing new of special about this. But it's worth for the short appearance of Emperor Daaynal, my favorite Lathar Warrior.

Read as part of Warriors of Lathar, Volume 1.

I really like this series. Alien romance has been my thing this year. Ever since having Covid-19 in March I can't deal with the pain of most Dark and BDSM Romance. I wonder if anyone else has felt this way.
The Warriors of Lathar series has been a pleasure to read. I'm looking forward to the next books in this series.

Alien Healer’s Baby Warriors of the Lathar Book 4
    by Mina Carter
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely Amazing! Every once in awhile I just read a whimsical story to lift my spirit and get in some light reading. Mina Carter is a author that I can count on to put a smile on face and lift my spirits. So of course I picked Alien Healer’s Baby it's the fourth book in The Warriors of the Lathar series. Plus the fact that the cover is pretty. I mean who isn't excited when you look at your kindle and see a new book? This book made me happy, excited and blessed it was there just when I needed a heartwarming book to read.
Now as with most novellas, the pace is fast and of course everything happen like within hours or a day at the most. Actually I enjoyed every moment of this compelling, heartwarming story. It's a story with zero conflict it may surprise you but I absolutely enjoyed it because it's so entertaining.
Even though I feel it’s a extraordinary story, there’s nothing bad about it, it’s just a very easy read with a tremendous amount of romance. All in all, if you have an hour or so to spare and you want a interesting way to fill it then this is a good choice. This story features Laarn, Lord Healer of the Lathar, and his mate with the addition of their baby. This story is not meant to be read without reading The WARRIORS OF THE LATHAR world and it's not a stand alone. It should be read after PREGNANT BY THE ALIEN HEALER. Which I highly recommend this short story it's amazingly sweet.

Totally hilarious and cute and sweet. A little snippet of Jessica and Laarn's wee baby being born. I am thankful to find out that she's not done with my alien Warriors of Lathar! Excited to see what she releases next! This story isnt very long about 38 pages. So, I dont want people to think its a novel or even a novella but a short.

I do so enjoy Mina Carter's books they are always so much fun and down to earth. The Warriors of the Lathar has been an ongoing series and this sweet short just adds to the fun.

An Alien healer like a boss! the best in the Empire. A Sassy and brassy beauty, human that's his wife. Their love knows no bounds. Now with a babe on the way, things gets a bit jumbled.

I really liked how Laarn will get a chance most men don't, the chance to get up close and personal with his pregnant wife Jessica.

I have to say it was way too short but I enjoyed it in its entirety. I read and reviewed this voluntarily. Enjoy.

  • Christine

Cute and too short. I can't wait to read Kenna's story. I hope it will come out soon.

  • Anita (Hearts and Whodunits)

This is an extension of the previous book, it was a great short story.

  • Jannie Cv

Short and sweet - don’t miss it!
A quick story to catch us up to date with Jess and Laarn. I really do love the stories of Lathar, their warriors, and the women who love them.
The Lathar healers are truly ill-equipped to deal with humans giving birth. Laarn is about to get some first hand experience! This is a sweet little story that gave me great pleasure - and a serious yen for another Lathar warrior story. He will never know what hit him!

  • Cecilia

Cute story, likable characters, wish there was more to it, too short of a read for me.

If you haven't read "Pregnant by the Healer," you need to. This is the continuation to that one. Jess is pregnant and she will be giving birth to the first hybrid Lathar/Human. And it's a girl. She will be the Princess and also a Healer. But first she has to be born. Laarn and his healer's have no idea what to do. They have never had a female give birth. Oh, he's season videos and read about it but never seen it. This is a true lesson for all. And when Jess goes into labor, boy do the healers get scared. It takes Keena and Jess to get them through it and to teach them but they need to know if they want more children, females, to be born.

I love that Keena knew what to do and schooled Laarn and his crew that they need to step up and learn. The new little princess is going to be having all the males eating out of her hands.

Jess and Laarn are the first of the couples facing impending parenthood. And as with many childbirths this one is not going to be easy!! Laarn may be the all knowing Healer but his people have not given birth in many years and there is no way an alien man is going to know what a half human birth is going to go!!!

Fast paced, just like a lot of births! It was great to see the ever so usually calm and collected Laarn totally lose the plot! Jess was all "I got this" until of course her bambino makes it known the time has come and she loses it too!

I loved dipping back into the world and seeing the happily mated couples and some of the couples that you just now are going to be fun when it's their time in the sun!

Jess, of the surprise pregnancy fame, is about to have her little alien nugget and NOBODY'S ready for it. Except Jess, I guess. She's more than ready.

The alien's, though? They might have read all the books they can get their hands on, but the actual act of helping a human woman through the process is...a little rough. Good thing the Lathar have that handy thingy that lets the healers take on their patients' pain, right? Heh.

What can I say? I dig when strong warriors get gobsmacked by the love of a good woman and then get further amazed by what they're willing to go through to have babies. *thumbs up*

OMG. A real feel good and emotional story.
I just loved this addition to this series but you really need to have read PREGNANT BY THE ALIEN HEALER first.
Loved this short story that basically gives us the safe arrival of Laarn and Jess’ baby girl. The first baby in generations.
The fact Laarn gets to feel the labour pains was such a good kick.
So cute having all these tough warriors going soft over the baby.
I can see some real changes coming over the Oonats and how they are treated and viewed.
Really want Daaynil and Xaandrill to get their HEA’s if possible.
This is my honest review of this book.

  • Sheila Grindatti

Ok really.... I'm torn between I liked the story but it left me in a place that was what kind of BS is this. The whole thing around the baby, the impossibility of it took away from the story. Then add in the comments on the oonat makes me want the Latharians to go into extension . I sure hope something changes or I'm going to stop reading this total disregard for a sentient species. There was one sentence that absolutely made me want to throw up. Heartless bastards! Don't get me started on the baby and the impossibility of it all. Boo!
Please God I hope the next book softens me to these neanderthal.

This is a quick follow-up story to "Pregnant by the Alien Healer" which I suggest you read first. Jessica and Laarn are about to become parents to the first human/Latharan child. While Jessica believes she is ready for her daughter to arrive, she hasn't actually thought about labor. Labor and delivery are something Laarn and the other healers aren't prepared for. Will this pregnancy have a happy ending? How will the "Warriors of Lathar" react to this tiny miracle?

*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*

  • Lisa B. Lovely

Oooohhh! The baby is coming and Laarn is clueless about human delivery pain and it is priceless once he figures it out. Laarn and Jessica are so sweet together (as sweet as a Lathar Warrior/Healer and a human can be anyway). Kenna is splendid as always. This series is so much fun, I adore the Lathar and their mating marks. The story-line/plot is excellent, the writing is fabulous and I love all of these characters. This is a great addition to this series, thanks for another amazing book Mina Carter!

    Baby girl K'Vass arrives

Jess and Laarn are about to become parents to the first Lathar female in decades. Laarn has studied all the archive information on Latharian childbirth, but when the time comes, he is woeful unprepared for the reality. Kenna steps in and gets everyone though.
There little girl is perfect. She has a surprising link to her great uncle the Emperor, something he shared with his twin and her namesake.
A sweet slice of life and a beacon of hope for the Lathar Warriors.
