Rapid Responders: A Lift-the-Page Truck Book (Finn's Fun Trucks) Reviews

It won't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Finn loves trucks. Most likely anyone who picks up this title loves them too and will have a blast lifting the sturdy flaps to reveal five different emergency vehicles that help save lives. Readers will encounter a fire truck, a police car, an ambulance, a helicopter, and a coast cutter before lifting the sixth flap to see all of these vehicles gathered together. Although lifting the flap lets youngsters know what the vehicles do, the flap itself shows the different parts of these important modes of transportation. I can imagine many youngsters who will love having this book as part of their personal collection and spend hours looking at it and playing with their own small versions of the rescue vehicles and dreaming of someday navigating their own.

  • Edward Sullivan

Good introduction to what these community helpers do, and what vehicles and equipment they use.

  • Cecile

Not entirely intuitive for children with lots of background knowledge who are just learning to read.
