Corrine is a teacher to underprivileged children in China. She has been kidnapped by the local Triad gang in Hong Kong and is being held until the Dragon Head can decide what to do with her. However, the kidnappers make a deal with her, poison their target, or get thrown over a balcony. While she is at the bar trying to figure out how to poison the target, she orders the most expensive drink on the menu. After drinking the black liquid that burns, a shootout takes place, and sex as sin Tao comes to save the day. Oh, and he’s the Dragon Head and a dragon god. When Tao woke up, he did not expect to be caught in the midst of an old west shoot-out in his casino/bar and most importantly to find his mate. This is book 2 in the series by A.C. Greenlee. There is a brief mention of Xiao and Risa. This story is just as short and to the point as Book 1. This story was not as engaging as the first one. There is more information in the Amazon synopsis than in the actual story. It was interesting and once again I read it in one setting – about an hour. I did not get Book 3, but it is on my radar.

A strong heroine who fights for herself. A hero who definitely holds his own. Tao and Corinne are my favorite couple in the series. I definitely would've loved more time with them, especially considering she's a girl brought up by the "right side of the law" and he's a Triad god. We do get a peek at them in another book, so they don't disappear.

This series are what I would term as short and to the point. I'll be honest there is a very limited amount of character/plot development in this short series, but I feel that that author was not writing with those aspects in mind. For me they are what I term lunch hour reads.

Good
This is just my 2nd book by AC Greenlee, but I really enjoyed it. Short, but surely well-written and to the point.
