Darkest Sin was certainly a dark, and sinfully good read from start to finish. The action, romance, sex, and spine tingling suspense, along fascinating bits of history woven throughout this incredible book came together seamlessly to make the final instalment of the Blackthorne Brothers saga an exciting and engrossing story that will keep you enthralled while evoking every feel you own!

Darkest Sin is my first read by this author and it certainly won’t be my last as I really liked this read.

I love that the story is told through several points of view. At the start we are introduced to Ash and Amber. As we read more we are introduced to more characters. Each brings their own uniqueness to the story. I really didn’t like Ayden at the start but he certainly grew on me.

I thought this was a great read. Plenty of hot sexy scenes along with lots of twists and turns had me gripped.
Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Is There Some Truth🔒🔑 In Fiction?

    Another sex fueled fantasy!
Here's another discombobulated ridiculous adult romance written in first person by the author, as if these are his life experiences.
He does admit to embellishment, and embellish, he does!

The book is a fictional mishmash of misadventures and merged previous books with Ashton's🐺🍆⛲ long suffering PA and girlfriend, Amber, and his on again off again girlfriend Veronica.
These two characters are the subjects of the authors first books, also written in first person. The prologue is from one of his first books. If you have read his other books, you have read this one. Don't bother buying this third time around rehash.

This book has continuity problems throughout, which will completely confuse readers who haven't read any of his previous books.

The author also gets a visit from his evil younger brother, Ayden🐺🍆🌋💪👋, in this book. Ayden🐺🍆🌋💪👋 gets out of prison for stabbing🔪 and kidnapping Amber in a previous book📑 and he tries to go "good" and change his bad boy sex toy🍆👋 ways, but it's an exercise in masculine testosterone fueled futility. He's right back to picking up submissive women in bars. He's a bad daddy👋!

For some reason, Ayden's parts in the book📑 are also written in first person.
This book📑 has a little bit of everything from previous 📚books in it, thrown together in a wealthy bad boy sexual stew, as only Ashton🐺🍆🌋👋 can!
The more I read of Ashton's works, the more I'm convinced The 📚books are satires on women's adult romances.

In his mind, Ashton🐺🍆🌋👋 is the James Bond of adult romances. Every woman💃💋 he sees in the book📑 looks at him with naaasssty desire in her eyes, no matter where he goes or what he does. He must be nearly a God!

The author has a huge following of absolutely mesmerized fangirls, so I expect to be attacked for daring to criticize the book. Bring it on!

ARC Received for a Voluntary and Honest Review.
I also got the book📑 with KU.

The book needed another thorough proofreading before publishing. There are a fairly large number of grammatical errors, mostly words left out or wrong words used. Sometimes the errors changed the whole meaning of what the author was trying to convey, such as "was" used when it should have been "wasn't" .
The persons or person that put this book together should be punished with a thousand papercuts!
I'm also not a fan of first person fictional accounts. The book is very long for an adult romance, because of the merging of previous books into one book. The book also deals with incest, which may be a trigger for some readers.

What can I say about this book...we'll let let me start with Simply Amazing. This book us on so many twists and turns that we were always guessing what next. I absolutely loved the storyline, there was just something that had us so drawn to it that by the end we had so much love for Ash and Amber but we fell more in love with Ayden. That was the heart of the story but finally seeing all the siblings come together and unite...breathtaking. Seeing how all the stories entwine, now that wasn't expected. In my opinion if you've read any or all of Ashton's books thus one takes the cake. I'm not going to give away anything because I want you all to enjoy it just as much as I did.  The fact that we'll see more in the future I can't wait. Congratulations Ashton on another brilliant masterpiece.  Keep them coming!!!!

On a side note, I just want to say it's been a privilege to be able to read your books and I've been a fan since Broken but please don't stop what you were meant to do. This is your field and people truly appreciate and enjoy your words. I was spellbound and I just wanted to let you know that I will forever be a fan and friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my love of reading so enjoyable.  So without further ado...I give this book 5+ stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

To say I enjoyed this book would be an understatement of the year. This book was exciting, hot, and just plain good. The writing great and engaging, the characters so well defined, and the plot so thought out. I really enjoyed the way the author plotted out this story. The roller coaster ride of emotions this story put me through was so worth it. Ash and Amber upped the book couple goal. This was a love story at its finest because it gave a little of everything and it wasn’t perfect but flawed and it grew to be something more and stronger. The characters were great and not perfect, and I loved that about them.

I loved this great book by Ashton and cannot wait to read more.

Ashton Blackthorne has written an amazing book where we have the answers to all the questions we had about Ash, Amber and Ayden story. You know when you pick up a book by Ashton it’s going to be sexy, hot, thrilling, romantic and passionate. This book is so well written I just kept turning each page to find out what more could happen next, each page just got better and better keeping hooked till the end. You all need to read his book 5 STARS.

  • Joy Boutwell

Darkest Sin is a uniquely written book that has blended an erotic romance, mystery, suspense and thriller together giving it an epic storyline, that takes you on a phenomenal journey into the dark secret lives of the Blackthorne's. HELL NO. I think I read two pages before I returned this trash for a refund. How fucking ridiculous.

  • LORRIE

Amazing! Fantastic! The twists, turns, surprises and romance made this a great read

  • Denise

I simply couldn't put this book down! The trials and tribulations that Ash, Amber and Ayden have been through is astronomical. All three have a strong soul and over came heartbreaking tragedy. Then throw the half sister in the mix and wow. Still not sure how I feel about her. This whole story has been completely riveting. Just when you think you have it figured out, the author throws another zinger in there. Considering the journey of life these characters have endured, I loved the ending so much. This was just an amazing story that will keep your attention.

  • Tish

A very unique and electrifying story!! What I really loved was that it was a combination of so many different things all rolled into one amazing book. It got it's hooks into me right from the very beginning and it was nearly impossible to put down.

This book was given to me at my request and I provided this review voluntarily.

This review is a bit difficult to write, mostly because i'm not sure how to rate it and i'm not too sure what to make of it. I've read the foreword from the author before reading this book, so i'm aware that this is based on true events with some minor changes. So i find myself questioning if i can truly rate and review Darkest Sin by Ashton Blackthorne. In some ways, i can. In others, i can't.

I found a happy medium between my dilemma and the fact that i want to leave a review - i'll review my experience of this book rather than the content.

Ashton Blackthorne isn't so much a new to me author - i have many of his previously published books, but Darkest Sin is really the first that i've sat down and read. It's a simple book with many aspects - simple in the sense that you have to realize that this tells an actual story of how two people got together after they've suffered through pain and sadness; grief. It's a journey that doesn't happen from one second to the next, but rather after time has passed by so that you can appreciate the journey. But also, you have to realize that it's written as though someone was explaining their story rather than telling a fictional story.

I'm aware that this author knows about the BDSM lifestyle, and while there are many elements of it, it's not overpowering and not the only focal point of this story - again, we have two different characters, Ashton and Amber. One that is knowledgeable in the lifestyle, while the other needs to learn much about it, but i did enjoy reading how Ashton's natural alpha tendencies came out to play when it came to keeping Amber for himself.

As i've mentioned, i had troubles writing and rating this book - while i did enjoy it, it was also difficult knowing that it was based on true events, knowing it was the first book i've read by this author. It was also difficult getting used to the way that it was written, but at the same time, if you see it as being in the author's shoes, the appreciation for this story skyrockets higher than you could ever imagine.

  • Sissy's Romance Book Review

Darkest Sin by Ashton Blackthorne. This was the story of Ash, Amber and Ayden.
I felt like there may have been a previous book that I needed to read but the book switch around in the timeline. So that may added to my flow of read the book. But it didn't stop me from enjoying reading and finding out how things were going to play out. This book does have some BDSM and may have some trigger issue for those that have them.
Overall I enjoyed this book and will look for more books by this author.

This was definately a story that is dark, sexy, sweet, dramatic and full of twists. I like the mix of present and historical events. It is well written with likeable characters that are well described and develops nicely. The storyline and plot are nice. It is a long journey before there is a HEA but it is worth the read. It is a captivating story and I can only recommend it to others.

Ashton Blackthorne, a very rich man who has it all, wealth, women, and power. His world is blown wide open after his father’s death and his mother comes back into his life at his father’s funeral. Little does he know that his father had some secrets. Ashton thinks that his father was the best father ever and that they had close relationship. He thought he knew everything about his father. However, he finds out that his father had a wild life when he was younger and that he has siblings that he was not aware of. Ashton feels that his world was destroyed because his mother left when he was young, but he will find out that it was the best thing she could have done for him. He finds that he has an older sister, Amelia, and a younger brother, Ayden.

Amber a beautiful young woman who worked as Ashton’s Administrative Assistant. She’s a close friend to Ashton as well as his assistant. They have an agreement that it will only be business between them, even though they both feel the draw of wanting more. Amber has a relationship with Ayden Donovan, a man she meets in a bar one night. He looks like Ashton, but he is different. Little does Amber know that he is closer to Ashton than she thinks. Ayden is Ashton’s little brother, someone he never knew about until he kidnapped Amber and tried to kill Ashton.

This book was full of twists and surprises, as well as some very dark scenes. If you like dark stories of love, family, power, and redemption then I recommend this book. However, I will warn you that it is darker than some I have read before. I give this book a 3-star review, mostly because there was so much in it that I really had a hard time accepting. I realize this is a book, but it was farfetched in some places.

    My Readultery Life Review

Darkest Sin is a dark erotic book that is thrilling and well written.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the writing was engaging and the characters were perfectly flawed. Because of their flaws my connection with them throughout the story was deep, their happiness brought a smile to my face. Their chemistry was electric, so much so that the hairs on my arms stood up when the heat between the characters was at its hottest.

Ashton Blackthorne is a new author to me, and the second male author that I have found that can write romance at its best. Based on true events, I was a little hesitant to start reading in case I was unable to enjoy the story and its characters. Having said that, I dived right in and was disappointed. You can tell that the author knows about the BDSM lifestyle, his detail to this element of the story is beautifully written but doesn’t over shadow the romantic element off this novel.

This story is a fantastic read that will have your mind racing with the twist and turns. Be sure to check this out ASAP.

  • Amanda McCalip

This book was absolutely fantastic. I am new to Ashton Blackthorne, but I am so glad I gave this author a chance! I certainly do not regret picking this up at all. The book was written fantastically, it was emotional, it was dark, it sucked you in from the very first page and made me invested in all of the characters.

There was plenty of lust, love, anger, betrayal, and I loved every single second of it! This family has endured so much and the way they handle trying to get through it all was absolutely fascinating to read.

This is the final book in this series, but even having not read the others I was able to follow along and understand what was happening. This followed Ash, Amber, Ayden and several supporting characters and I enjoyed them all! There is so much mystery to this book. There was so much suspense and the passion from each of these characters had me reading as fast I could.

I'm an Ashton Blackthorne fan for life now!

  • Debbi Taylor

I took my time reading this book as I wanted to make sure that I fully got into it. I enjoyed this book immensely, Ashton Blackthorne has done a fantastic job writing this book he has covered everything. It is full of so many emotions love, lust, anger, betrayal, are to name but a few. The writing itself is very clear and left me with no unanswered questions which I found refreshing as in a lot of books leave big gaps where I am left to play catch up. Each character in this book gives his or her points of view which I also found to be good as it keep the book flowing together as a “family” as it were. There are plenty of twists and turns also to keep you guessing right until the very end I gave this book 5* and would gladly have rated it higher it is a genuinely all round fantastic read and I will definitely read more from this author. It is greatly recommended.

  • Kat

This book is part fact, and part fiction. It's loosely based on the authors life with just a few embellishments in it.
This is a long read, so buckle up. Reason for that being it's a few books condensed into one life long story. Good thing about that is we finally have an ending to a few of the books that were previously published by this author. Which is a huge bonus for us. This book comes with a warning label on it, but for me it was a non issue. I loved this, as I did the other books I've read from this author.
This story is gritty, real, and does not hold back, and for that I give it a 5 🌟.

  • Jen ODonnell

What can I say about this book. I loved it. There is so much going in this book. Mr. Blackthorne really has you care about and love the characters. He draws you into and you don't want to stop reading. There is love, passion, forgiveness and mystery. It will keep you hooked up until the end. Everyone is ready to find out what happens with Ashton, Amber, Ayden, Reese,Shasha, and Amelia. I recommend Darkest Sin to everyone. This book will touch you as much as it did me. Thank you Ashton Blackthorne .

I had not read this author before so I did not know what to expect , what I got was a very well written book that was sexy, intriguing and kept me interested until the very last word.

The twists and turns in this book made you feel like you are there and that the people in this book are your friends.
You definitely need to read this book

  • Monica Murphy

If you have read some of his books before, it will be familiar. He has taken his previously published books and merged them together as one story for an incredible price.

While reading this, it is sometimes hard to believe that this is based on things that have happened in his life. Uniquely interesting and hard to put down.
