1000 Facts about Historic Figures Vol. 1 Reviews

Entertaining book with fun facts. Nicely written broken up into interesting sections. Nice that it does not require the reader to pick up where they left off. Highly recommended for fans of trivia, fascinating content and history.

this book is free with Kindle unlimited and it's not worth it.

The author compiled a list of famous personages from history and then dropped in 'facts about them'

In the 21st century with Wikipedia and the internet there is no excuse for the sloppy mess this book is.

For example all three volumes contain info on the Beatles. And all three list Paul McCartney's birth year as 1945 which is wrong he was born in 1942

I pulled other facts I knew to be wrong into my highlights and notes
    Have fun

A Thumbnail Sketch of Many of the Most Well Known Historical Figures

This book debunks many of the untruths and myths surrounding many historical figures. For example Harry Houdini didn’t die from a punch in the stomach but from a burst appendix. You will learn little known facts about these people such as Leonardo de Vinci didn’t paint the Sistine Chapel while laying on his back but while standing which caused him great pains in his neck. A fun book to read and share with your friends.

    Entertaining, has several mistakes

Donald Trump has another daughter you don't give him credit for. You have Churchill's death wrong. Editing is horrible. I'm sure there are other mistakes as well.

  • Sandra Hawkins

This is a quick and easy read. Perfect if you just want to relax with a bit of fluff.

Great reading for any history buff or trivia master. It can be read in a day. I am going to read more volumes.
