What do you do when your life of travel begins to unravel?

Caity Shaw has come a long way since her appearance as a sausage at her first meeting in Dublin. The shadow of her abusive ex is fading. Learning about her Irish grandmother’s past has brought her family closer together. She’s building confidence as an event planner, along with her client list. And she’s no longer always flying by the seat of her knickers while traveling abroad. However, she is nervous about flying solo at her first meeting without her sister, Rachel, or her Irish love, Declan.

When Caity travels to the fairy-tale city of Prague, grim reality soon sets in. She’s stuck working in a historic hotel with her archenemy, a psycho planner, and a resident ghost. The romantic notion of meeting Declan in exotic locales is proving more difficult than she’d imagined. Maintaining balance between her professional and personal lives is becoming a losing battle. And when she’s wrongly accused of a crime, she must fight to prove her innocence.

Everything Caity has worked so hard for—Declan, her reputation, and family relationships—begins to bite the dust!

*This series is best when read in order.

“The heart wants what the heart wants. Even if it gets broken.”

    **books read best in order**
Caity, back for book four, is working over Valentine’s Day in Berlin. So not only is seeing Declan for Valentine’s mega difficult as it is, it feels like her plans keep getting foiled. Especially when she realises she’s working with Gretchen, her arch enemy!

I just love this series so much…! I’ve inhaled all four of the books I’ve read now, and it will probably be the same with the last two! But am I so so glad that Eliza bough Gretchen back for a book! I needed to see some more rivalry, although their relationship was built on!

Caity’s personal journey into her family’s history got so much juicier too! Like where the hell did that come from?! Aghhhhhh these books - it’s like each one is better than the last!

    So good! Loved this book!

    Cozy and Happy

I started this series as a free read. I have read all and be impatiently awaiting book 5! Falling for Caity and Declan was easy and fun. I don't like giving things away, but it's time for happiness for all. I can't wait to see how their future research will be and finding answers for everyone's family ancestry.

I have devoured all four books in the series in a week. Loved them!!! Perfect for anyone who loves Sophie Kinsella & Katie Fforde.

    Fabulous continuation of Caity’s journeys

I had been waiting for the new book since I finished the first three in the series last fall and this one was definitely worth the wait! I love how the author weaves in genealogy research in a way that makes sense! And very excited that Caity’s adventures will be bringing her back to Ireland and hopefully spending more time with Declan - I did miss them being together more in this book but the ending more than made up for it! Can’t wait until March 2019!

I usually really enjoy these quick reads but found this one to be a bit off. There was too much relying of past book history and sometimes the inner dialogue was annoying. Still, overall I enjoy reading what Caity gets up too and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Thankful for books on long flights. Enjoyed this next part of Caity’s journey, both on the work front and in her personal life. Her character grows a lot in this installment. Love tagging along on her travel adventures.

Another fun adventure with Caity Shaw, this time in Prague. Not a lot of time spent outside the event, but its nice how she’s growing in this field as well as genealogy on the side. I love that she’s still embracing her Irish roots and Declan!

Quite possibly my favorite installment so far in The Travel Mishaps of Caity Shaw series. I really enjoyed the setting of this story and the whole macaron incident was fun.

Caity's relationship with Declan develops even more so and her ongoing research into her family history continues with even more surprises revealed.

Overall, I really liked this one and found that Caity keeps growing as a character and she has matured a lot since the first book.

I love this series so much, it's constantly evolving and every new book always hits the spot.

This time we get to visit Prague as Caity is part of an understaffed events crew managing a corporate event. There are more of the fun mishaps that happen in this line of work that I've come to expect from this series - you just know that some of these are anecdotal rather than pure fiction!

Her search for her Irish family tree continues and she's developing a knack for investigation, her enthusiasm for researching ancestry turns out to be a great conversation starter and helps her make friends.

I love Caity as a character - she changes in each book and I love it. She's still the kind, thoughtful and somewhat daft woman she's always been but now she's really starting to hold her own rather than let her family or friends dictate what she does. I can't get enough of the 'phoenix rising from the ashes' vibe in this series, I'm desperate for her to get her happily ever after but I'm sure she's going to have to confront her past before the author will allow that to happen.

This is a series you have to read in its entirety to appreciate the slow burn character development but you won't regret it, it's like catching up with your best friend and seeing her get her life together after a bad patch.

*Thank you to the author for a free copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review*

I'm so glad I discovered two new books in this delightful series about event planner Caity Shaw. I loved the first 3 books having finished the last one nearly 2 years ago. This installment finds Caity in Prague dealing with 2 difficult co-workers. I have a feeling the author, also an event planner, has used some of her experiences in Caity's life. Caity and Declan get together again in this book, and Caity's genealogical research turned up another relative.

I am headed for Prague in a couple of weeks (will be singing in the Castle with a choral group) so was happy to find some description of the city. Plus, the book suggested I view the 1996 (first) Mission Impossible movie filmed in part in Prague.

I am starting book #5 next. Love this series!

I know it’s silly to be annoyed by the timeline but I am. But I’m weird so moving on. I loved to see how much more confidence Caity has and to see her making new relationships and friends! I loved how there was a little mystery going on in the midst of it all, too, and even though I’d like this series a lot more if there was no relationship going on, I look forward to the next book!

  • Helen

I liked it. I liked the way that Caity is growing in confidence and also in skill at her job.

I liked the building of the romance too, and how it is difficult for her and Declan to meet up, let alone spend any romantic time together.

This is a nice little series, mostly well written, and I'll more than likely buy the next novel in the series.

    Caity's Career Tales

Caity is still learning the ropes as she travels around for new assignments. Her boyfriend is also traveling, but to different countries .Somehow their new relationship is moving ahead.

  • Morgan Smith

Another great installment in the Caity Shaw series! Loved the new destination. Great detail and imagery of the location. Love the storyline too. Always a good balance of quirky fun and emotional depth. Like the new reveal in her family history. Starting book five now!

  • Kathryn Tilley

Loved this book, just like the ones before it!

  • Tina

I am sad to say I'm getting a little bored of Caity and her adventures. While I read this book, nothing unexpected happened. I felt bored at times, so I probably won't buy the 5th installment.

  • Kelly

    Another great Caity Shaw book!

  • Melissa Cole

    3.5

Took me a little longer to get into this one (say page 15 rather than 1), but Caity’s character growth is an absolute delight. And I love the virtual vacation

  • Missy

I really like this series. It’s funny and heartwarming both.
