Her Two Men in Sonoma (Total Indulgence, #3) Reviews
-
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
As book three in this series I am totally hooked on this agency by this point though each book works great as a stand alone as well. Arianna is trying to heal from a damaging divorce while still working with her ex. She has had feelings for their third partner for years and now they decide to try things out even though they both love the Ex as well. Things start smooth until a a client demands that both her and the ex attend their conference to make things right after things go a little wonky. Once all three of them arrive the fireworks fly as they try to work out issues as they can all be together. Nice hot menage romance that deals with some deep emotional issues at the same time. -
I am an equal opportunity romance reader, save for paranormal stories. I’m not a fan of the ideological, supernatural types of romances. Maybe that will come with exposure, but I’m doubtful.
With that, I appreciate anything from contemporary romance to MFM/MMF romance. A few months back, I purchased my first book from writers, Dana Delamar and Kristine Cayne, Her Two Men in London, and I was hooked. A month or so later, I was gifted with an ARC of their second Total Indulgence series book, Her Two Men in Tahiti. I was hooked even further. Since Daniel and Arianna had figured into those books as ancillary characters, I was intrigued when I read the first two chapters of their most recent book, Her Two Men in Sonoma, at the end of the prior book. Arianna seemed incredibly supportive of Paige in the first book of the series, and Daniel played the overseeing CEO of Sky, the character from their second book. We never get hints in those first two books of the backstory of these two characters…until this most recent book.
In this new book, Arianna and Daniel have divorced and are struggling a year later with that decision. Arianna has no idea that Daniel is harboring a secret from his past which forced him to walk away from their marriage. He believes that Arianna will never understand and accept the gravity of his past. Enter Javier, or Javi for short. Javi and Daniel are best friends (and he’s Arianna’s childhood friend) since college who have, along with Arianna, created Total Indulgence Tours. Even after their broken marriage, Arianna and Daniel, along with Javi, have continued to grow their company and maintain their relationships, even though strife lies underfoot. As the story progresses, we grow to understand that love has existed between the three for many, many years, but they must learn to deal with the past in order to move forward into their future.
I will admit that I LOVED the second book in this series (as well as the first). The emotional depth of the characters in Her Two Men in Tahiti grabbed me and caused me to consider, not just the societal ramifications of a menage relationship, but the cultural concerns as well. In this book, the social concern is childhood sexual abuse. The authors use the story of the characters to speak on the devastating effects of this type of abuse on future relationships and personal growth. While a necessary topic to consider, I found this story thread a bit repetitive in the book. Daniel frustrated me at various points in the story. Trust me, I understand the gravity of his situation, but there was a constant self-flagellation that seemed repetitive at times. Only Arianna and Javi as characters save the book. Together, they are a power couple who seek to save Daniel from himself. Their strength as a couple saved the story for me. I wanted to love this book as much as the first two books, but it wasn’t my favorite,
That being said, I am still a HUGE fan of Delamar and Cayne, and I will continue to read their books. They create socially compelling storylines and spicy characters who heat up the bedroom. I am always intrigued by the MMF storyline because, in the real world, it seems like it would be incredibly difficult. However, if I can live it through the pages on my Kindle, I am all in. Even though Her Two Men in Sonoma wasn’t my favorite of the series, I would still highly recommend it for other readers who LOVE this type of romance. You can never go wrong with Delamar and Cayne. -
I have read all three of the stories in this series and I absolutely loved the first two. This one I liked but I wouldn’t put on the same level of enjoyment as the first two. Javier has a body image issue stemming from being chunky in his youth. While this issue was used as a “trigger” at times in the story I was exteremely disappointed in the fact that it was not truely addressed. Javier has an illness just as harmful as Daniels is yet it is glossed over as if love will fix it and that is all he needs. Reality is much different. A persons relationship with food can be very serious and lead to many issues. Javier needs help gaining an understanding of his issues and a healthy relationship with food. Daniel is another story completely. He does seek help dealing with the abuse he was a victim of in his youth. I appreciated that the story addressed the emotional storm that Daniel was living in but weirdly I felt it was dragged out and at the same time his “recovery” occurred way to fast. It is hard to wrap my mind around the fact that most of the story occurred during a two week time frame. Ari brought her own insecurities into the mix making the whole thing feel overwhelming and over dramatic. Then to top everything off Javier and Ari come from very strong catholic families that will never accept the three of them being in a relationship together. The biggest irony of this worry that they all dwell on throughout the story is that it is never really addressed other than Daniel saying that he needed to completely heal before he was ready to come out. We have no idea how this major hurdle is handled or overcome. While the story overall is a sweet overcoming of many obstacles to love there is a lot to get through to appreciate the outcome. I feel like a few of the obstacles needed to removed from this story so it could flow better and focus better. This one of the three actually felt like more than one author was writing it. The biggest positive I can give you is to read the first two books in the series. They were fantastic!

All in my feelings
This is the third book i have readed in this series. And so far to me is the Best one.
To have children is a Joy. You watch them grow, and send them off to school to learn. You pray and hope while they are apart from you, that they remain safe.
That didn't happened to Daniel. What happened to him was crime shame. No child should have too go through that.
But he met a Friend in College. That would have him looking at his life differently.
Javier has been in love with only two people. One is Daniel, the other Arianna.
Javi was a shy, and obsese. He was truly self conscious till Daniel taught him fitness, and the correct way to eat which took him too a Dull and boring to a Manly Stud.
The Friendship that was bounded between these two was made of Love and respect.
Now Daniel Married Ari, and divorce, which left her heartbroken and him a Mess.
Years goes by and Ari and Javi hook up on her Birthday. They always had mutual attraction to each other, and finally decided to act on it.
The trio have a business in which the run together. Total Indulgences, which brings Daniel and Ari on a trip together and brings back old feelings.
Daniel never revealed his reasons for divorce as the story unfolds. But the heartache of his past was so moving as Daniel finally reveals what happens to him.
And now Javier and Arianna have a secret to share with Daniel.
Would it bring them closer, Or would there world fall apart.

Getting past it
Daniel and Ari were married but their marriage was over and as she reflected her life wasn't where she wanted it. She still loved Daniel. She loved her best friend Javi who was closeted gay and she wanted a baby. None of her wishes were coming true... Until her 29th birthday.
Javi knew he had to make a change and that change was the most significant of all.... It changed everything....
Daniel is successful, brilliant but haunted. He dominates and takes but never can get close. He's divorced and unhappy. But his best choice was to go for therapy and let them in.
I really enjoyed this story. It was a complex working of getting through sexual abuse and not letting that tragedy rule your world. This story is about alternative relationships and the struggles and unique set of fantasies that come with being part of a triad.
The world isn't black and white with relationships. Their are mixed orientation marriages, not visible bisexuals (because if they belong in a couple rather then a triad/throuple then they are either in a "straight" or "gay/lesbian" relationship), those that are closeted, straight relationship, swingers, polyarmorous relationships, open relationships and single mongomous relationships.
And lastly the sensual scenes were great and full of patience, heat, love, learning and excitement. -
I hope I can do justice to this review. This is not my normal type book to read but when I got the description from Hidden Gems there was just something about it. I have never read anything by either of these author’s before so his came as a happy surprise to me that this book is so much better than I expected. I don’t do spoilers so I just have to say this story had me hooked from the beginning. There is so many parts to it. Second chance and friends to lovers and more. My heart was aching from the beginning for Javier but soon also for Daniel. Both had so much that just couldn’t go right for them. I can only imagine how hard it would have been to be either. I could not turn the pages fast enough to see how this would play out. Arianna seemed to have her own issues and one was she loved both of these men. The author’s so smoothly played out the different obstacles that was between all of them. The story flowed so smoothly and at a constant pace. The characters were so relatable I felt I could have known them. I really liked the ending even though I probably could have had the story go on into the future. I will be adding these author’s to my watch list.

Her Two Men in Sonoma
I absolutely loved this book. We have three characters Ari, Javi, and Daniel. First we have Daniel and Ari were married and have been divorced for a year. They separated under extenuating circumstances both regretting their decisions. Next is Daniel and Javi they were college roommates and Javi has been obviously lusting after Daniel for over 10 years. Daniel secretly crushes on Javi but has a secret that he has been holding onto since middle school. Lastly we have Ari and Javi who have been best friends since they were children. Javi was Ari's first love but when he told her he was gay she lost all hope of them ever being together. Javi has also been in love with Ari since he could remember. He has realized that he is not gay he is bi-sexual. Now that Daniel and Ari have been separated over a year he feels not the time is right to reveal his feelings.
You must read to see what happens. To experience all the ups and downs that these three will encounter. Experience how they handle the secrets that they have and how it will effect the dynamics of their friendships, relationships and business together!
I voluntary reviewed this book. -
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Ari, Javi and Daniel hit it off, literally. They do share quite a mixed up past and are like the three Musketeers for ages. Daniel had a sincere relationship with Ari, but divorced her a year back due to some pressure she put him in he couldn't deal with at the time because of demons he never told anyone about... So as time goes by Javi gets closer to Ari and things heat up not just with the two of them... A very very well thought through story of childhood-friends wanting to be more than friends, but never really dared to give in to temptation. And with the shadow luring over Daniel everything is just much more emotional. Absolutely awesome bringing something like this in paper.

I loved the first two books, but i started getting frustrated around 80% through this one. It's just as well written as the others, but i couldn't stand Arianna. I found her to be extremely irritating, selfish and whiney. Tells Daniel (husband) give me a baby or else; Husband divorces her and she's upset and confused as to why.
Asks Javier ( best friend) to leave for alone time with ex husband (they're now in a threesome); very upset when the same is asked of her.
Begs best friend Javier to give her a baby; complains about being pregnant and unmarried and that her baby would be deemed an abomination. Just a few of the many issues i had with her irritating character. That being said, this is a very simplified version, still a pretty good book. -
An absolutely naughty steamy masterpiece that will have you hooked from start to finish. A well written storyline with amazing characters. We see everything from body in securities, abuse and a romance between three people that takes time for all the pieces to fall into place untill all three find their HEA.
Javier has loved Arianna since they are kids. In college he meets Daniel who he falls in love with but doesnt do anything about it as he doesn't want to lose his best friend. When the woman he loves and the man he wants meet he steps back.
But now that they are divorced its time for him to make Arianna his finally....but things get complicated as Arianna wants them both and now Daniel tells them both that he has been attracted to Javier since they met....... -
Long overdue healing, acceptance and love
Her Two Men in Sonoma by Dana Delamar and Kristine Cayne is very well written book. The story of Arianna, Daniel and Javier is emotionally gripping, an exploration of combustible chemistry and much needed honesty that allows these three to find resolution.
This book is fantastic and, as well the previous books in this series, brimming with beautiful and flawed characters. I loved all of them, but Javier truly is the “glue” in all his sweet, sexy, patient glory.
This book is absolutely a 5+ read and I await another Total Indulgence book with bated breath.
I read an ARC of the book via Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review. -
The story of these three is at times but wrenching. Things that Daniel went through you can feel the honesty in his pain. The love Ari has for both these men is a love most of us wish to find once in a lifetime but she was able to find it twice with two men. I will say there are times I did feel truly bad for Javier and I also felt he was at times treated as an second choice or pick for Ari. I am a true fan of these writers and can't wait to read more from them. I totally recommend you read this book.

Another enjoyable read from the total Indulgence Series. Alot of seriously hot chemistry and raw emotions, had me smiling one minute and sobbing the next.
This is Ari, Javi and Daniel's story. They have all loved each other of years, and not all have been aware of such. She has loved one man most of her life, he is her first love, the other she married. Two men who have been best friends since college.
A company event in a Sonoma winery has all three together with time to follow their hearts and chase their demons. But is a triad relationship in their future? Is it possible? -
Such a great read! My heart broke for Daniel seeing all that had happened to him and trying to push it in a ‘box’ for so long. I loved the relationship between the 3 of them. How much they loved and cared for each other. My heart broke for Javi and Ari when they were trying to understand and help Daniel. I loved the whole dynamics of the 3 of them.
Definitely some ‘trigger issues’ in this book but it was handled so well. So many feels in this book with a whole lotta steam!! Another great book by this duo. If you enjoy Ménage books, you will love this one! -
Past, present...future?
While this is the third book in this series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Arianna, Daniel and Javier have a past together. They have a friendship and Arianna and Daniel had a marriage. They also share a present as business partners. Will they also share a future as a triad? I have read all three books in this series and believe this is my favorite. That shared past and familiarity make their relationship a little easier to imagine happening.
*I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book via Hidden Gems which I am voluntarily reviewing* -
So good!! I enjoyed reading a book that has true to life issues wrapped up with the good ole smut!! This book gives a voice to abuse and the fact that with getting help you can survive and not just be, I love that. This is not your cookie cutter romance novel, & a great addition to the TI series! These authors have seriously got it going on with these books!
ARC courtesy of the author in exchange for an unbiased review. -
The relationship of Arianna, Javier, and Daniel that was alluded to previously in the earlier books gets a nuanced, passionate, angst filled story. The three have known each other for years. During that times bonds have formed and frayed as personal issues obstruct personal growth and happiness. This story has a "heavier" feel as it deals with several serious issues. I almost wish this book was split into two or expanded. There are elements within the story that could have been expanded upon.

This is the third book in the Total Indulgence series. Danial, Javi and Ari have all loved each other for years. Its not an easy relationship for the three. There are some heavy issues to work through and to overcome before they can find their HEA.
This is an emotional, heart wretching but sweet story at the same time.
I voluntarily read an adavanced copy of this book. -
Ari, Daniel, and Javier are partners in Total Indulgence. Ari and Javi are childhood friends. Javi and Daniel are college bro's. Daniel and Ari are exes. Whew!! This is quite the love triangle going on here and it is a great book with some serious issues addressed.
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review. -
I really did love this book. I love the way these writers let us really feel the characters depth of emotions. The angst, shame, guilt, passion and love. The three characters are perfect for each other, they just have to ALL come to that realization. Their path to love is harsh, loving and hot heck! Great read!

The storyline is amazing. The way it is written and the way it tackles the subjects are superb.
This is a must read
For Daniels tale alone you have to read this story.
But the way the three of them work together to help Daniel is purely amazing.
Sending hugs to everyone x
