I just needed a little escape and working my way through this book was exactly what I needed. Haven't done calc in 15 years but the clear explanations helped a lot. Struggled with integration by trigonometric substitution but that was more on me than the book. By the end, I was happy with the book but was looking for some more application problems and problem-solving. This covers the foundation but not the fun.

This book is travel friendly and incredibly helpful. I recommend using it as a supplement to a calculus textbook for sure. the book is very easy to understand and the extra practice problems with worked out solutions are great!

Chris Mcmullen is truly the GOAT. He stands next to the greats such as Jim Belland, Abdul Bari and Mr. Khan academy himself. Truly a master of his craft.

A bit more problems on trig substitution would have been great. Nonetheless, this has been my most favorite "homework" ever. Clear solutions, clear explanations, small problem set as to not be overwhelming, and each problem teaches something. I recommend it to any calculus student either currently taking Calc 1 or wanting to review.
