In the end I liked this series less the second time through. I do like it but I found so many angering frustrations with the main characters. And if Mookyul was real I would despise him and hope he'd rot in jail where he belongs. Yet this turns story and pretty art turns things around and has me liking him in a twisted way. Small, very twisted way. This has a sort-of (maybe) good ending. Depending on how you view "good" this far into the story. It was nice to finally see character growth and also get Ewon's past in full. I felt parts of this volume where rushed. Especially when dealing with the other director. Slowing it down and making one more manga (especially since this one is longer) would have been better.

While this series started off rather comedic, it quickly became angsty and melodramatic in the best way (while still retaining some of its humorous charm). Yes it's very messy, no the relationship is not healthy, but if the author is going to go for it, I say go all out and in this volume both leads were equally destructive so somehow it works? Plus there were some moments that almost brought me to tears with the amount of longing and vulnerability being conveyed. I love the way it ended and gosh, everyone is just so freaking attractive. Also I love Sangchul.

Wow. This series covers all kinda shit - dub-con, off-page foster-father/son incest, violence, cheating - and is still classed (by the author, on page) as 16+. And the terrible decision to use words like retard. *shudders*
Saying all that, this series has all kinda stuff I don't normally real, but is still EPIC. Clever, funny, quirky, adorable at times, it was epic shit that I will come back to read again.

    So good!

This series was so good! It had the perfect ending to all those twists and turns of suspense and romance. This is now definitely one of my favorite manga series.

¡Me gusto mucho!

This series as a whole is a 4.5 stars for me.

I first read this series back in 2012, when I was just getting started in the anime/manga/manhwa world. And I loved it!! As I recently recommended this series to a friend, I decided to re-read it to see if it was as good as I remembered... I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed in the slightest! The characters, their relationships, their development and all the little details make this manhwa series an extremely enjoyable read. I love Ewon and Mookyul so much and I know I will give their story another re-read in the future 🖤

Am I the only that felt like the story ended so abruptly? Anyway, this series was entertaining to read but Ewon and Mookyul was the complete incarnate of a toxic relationship. So many red flags and not to mention cheating and pedophilia. If it was me I'd totally hit it up with the bestfriend and my life would be infinitely easier.

  • B. Jean

Honestly, the ending for this series is completely perfect. That's actually what I remembered about it. (I've read this before, but it's been years.)

I would've loved to have seen Ewon show his parents up, but the totally captivated line gets me every time.

  • Cookie

Selfish, dysfuntional couple who act like they are mentally 14. Toxic, ridiculous and childish through and through. This whole relationship and these two characters would never pass as healthy in real life...

  • ♡Kayla♡

This was just a cluster of so many things happening for the sake of drama, with barely any of it making sense, but at least they ended up together happily. After finishing this series, I have to say that I'm really disappointed by something I once enjoyed so much, and there are much better BL stories out there.

  • Alisha Bhandari

This whole series was really toxic. From the characters to the situations as well as their reactions to said situations. I couldn't get over it. I only stuck with it so long because it was 50 chapters in total and I don't like dropping book series.

  • Amanda Setasha Hall

This series is so absolutely fucked up, but I couldn't put it down. This was amazing in every sense. It's a really fucked up love story and I'll probably reread it a lot in the future.

  • Aldana

    Al fin algo lindo

I loved the whole series so much, there was so much drama between Ewon and Mookyul it kept me laughing and smiling the whole way through. I liked the way the series ended don't get me wrong but I really wanna know what happenes with Chairman Lee that just kinda ends Does he end up adopting Mookyul all I know is Mookyul says "As my pathetic life would have it, whatever path I'd like to choose doesn't matter in the end, I have no choice but to stand on the edge of the cliff, if there is no way around it, its better to live with that power within my grasps." To me it just can't end there because Ewon doesn't like Chairman Lee and Chairman Lee doesn't like Ewon so we can't leave a series with such an unresolved issue. Also the end seemed a little rushed one minute they are in the hospital the next its Ewon's graduation and Ewon is trying to convince Mookyul not to show up I think I don't know very weird though, but a good read none the less.

I had seen this series somewhere recently and then last night I saw them on my sister's bookshelves. I took it as a sign that they wanted me to read them and borrowed them for the night. :) I had only meant to read one before going to bed because I've been trying to go to bed early but these books totally screwed it up. I couldn't just read one. I had to read them all one after the other. The artwork is fantastic even in the chibi moments! And on top of the funny dialogue and roller coaster romance, there were some great messages about falling in love. The sex scenes weren't really graphic in the version I read and didn't take up most of the books; it's much more about the plot and the character development. I absolutely loved it.

So, I've finished it. It took me two days altogether for the six volumes and several WTF moments near the beginning. But by the end, I was happy. So happy for them, though admittedly up until a few pages from the end I wanted to smack a certain blonde. It was so obvious how much Boss, as you call him, wanted you!!

You drove me mad at times, made me laugh/giggle at others, and overall made me love you both.

    Volume One: 3 stars
    Volume Two: 3 stars
    Volume Three: 4 stars
    Volume Four: 4 stars
    Volume Five: 4 stars
    Volume Six: 5 stars

A great cast of characters, both primary and secondary and the art was pretty cool too.

The Fox Jung with his beastly Mookyul?! I was wondering if Ewon were a girl, the love scenes would be rather shocking for girls. Because it really is hardcore and rapelike. If so I don't think people would have accepted it. It's very true the hottest and sexiest love scenes are always yaoi. They just don't make such scenes for shoujo or even josei,it's always yaoi who has such scenes it's unfair! I really hope I will come across another amazing and good series like this one! It's definately in my favorites list, oh my <3!

"Totally Captivated" remains today as one of my favorite yaoi manga - why? It is fast-paced. It is romantic. It is sad, it is hysterical. I cried and laughed, blushed and rolled my eyes.

Mookyul and Ewon...I just ship them so bad. There's that as well.

Not only were the back-stories brilliant, and the main characters brilliant in themselves...but all the side characters were just as deep and amazing!

And the plot! Oh my, the plot!

Above all, the series was brilliant. By the end, I was, indeed, "Totally Captivated."

    Totally captivated. Love it!
    Hermoso Yaoi <3

Interesting storyline with a plot that kept me interested throughout the whole series. The two main characters, Ewon and Mookyul, grew on me as the story went on. Their love story is not without its funny moments, with bits of angst thrown in too. Certain moments will make you laugh out loud while others will tug at your heart strings. The artist did such a good job of blending both. This manhwa is definitely one for keeps.

Well that was a looong Saturday night/Sunday morning read....

Loved this series, my first Korean manga read as opposed to Japanese and there wasn't much difference in style (although it reads from left to right rather than right to left which threw me for a little bit until I realised) although the cultural difference is obvious.

Anyway I loved it, the characters were adorably messed up and it never took itself seriously; I laughed nearly the whole way through.
