He’s still reeling from their breakup.
She’s ashamed of what she did.
Can a chance reunion mend the fence, or are some hearts forever broken?
Kane can't face running his foster family’s ranch alone. By now he'd hoped to live on the property with his wife and children, but his ex-fiancée’s betrayal threw a wrench into his dreams. Despite his anger, after he discovers his former flame down and out, he knows providing shelter is the right thing to do.
Faith Howard always dreamed of entertaining audiences with her guitar and even sacrificed a future with a good man to follow her heart. Life on the road didn’t turn out like she hoped and now she's broke and out of luck. When her ex selflessly offers help, she can't help but be riddled with guilt.
As the estranged couple recovers from the past, a friend of the family drops off two toddlers and heads for the hills. Will Kane and Faith’s new role as surrogate parents help them heal old wounds and find a second chance, or will the weight of too much baggage push them apart?

This was an enjoyable read. Kane and Faith used to date until a misunderstanding broke them apart. Faith comes back to town where she runs into Kane. He never really got over their breakup and she is reeling from some things that she had done. Thankfully by the end they both came to their senses and they got their HEA.

A COWBOY’S REUNION is a sweet, poignant romance. This story reflects the regret and sorrow that Faith feels for the mistakes she made in her past that hurt her and so many others, including her lost love, Kane. Two years ago, her struggle to make her own decisions in life, to pursue her love of music led her away from Kane and her grandfather, who both had other plans for her future. The way she left tore Kane and his family apart, led to his job on a oil rig instead of staying on the ranch, and now the family ranch is up for sale. Despite the hurt and mistrust between them, Kane comes to Faith’s aid when he finds her alone, sick and weary on the side of the road close to their hometown. Even knowing she doesn’t plan on staying, and the pain of her leaving still feeling fresh, Kane feels the need to take care of her. The sudden appearance of his sister’s young twins, the uncertain job future for Faith, and the reappearance of Tricia, Zane’s sister all serve to remind both Faith and Zane of the connection they once had, and the feelings that have never waned. Do they have a future together? Is this just a remnant or whisper of the past? Read this touching, beautifully written story to the discover the answers.

Cowboy's Reunion by Carolyne Aarsen
Family Ties Series Book One
Kane Tye has had a tough few years. Their mother died. His sister left town, and then his fiancée had left town with his brother...none of them to be heard from again. Not to mention he left his dad high and dry as well. Now he's returned to help get the ranch ready to sell. As if that isn't emotional enough...more emotional dominoes fall.
Faith Howard had made some really bad choices. Those bad choices piled up until the weight had pulled her down. She'd lost her faith. Her family. Her friends. Everything. All while following her passion...music. As she's heading to a new place...a new job...a new life—God steers her in a different direction, against her will. She ends up in the very place she ran away from.
What a great story. If you cry easily, you may want to keep the tissues handy. I went through a few of them...emotional, but in a way that shows it's a good story. Wonderful characters. It’s sort of a prodigal son story with several prodigals coming home, both to a human father and their Heavenly Father.

This is one truly emotional second chance romance.💓😢💓
This is a clean, second chance romance that will pull you in and hold you until the very end. and you're going to need a hanky for parts of it. 💓😭
Kane and Faith have known each other since they were children and been in love with each almost as long. But being in love doesn't always mean things will just automatically work out... especially if you don't talk about the really important things in your life. But that's where second chances become so special. 💕💗💕

3.5 stars, 1.5 heat
A Cowboy's Reunion was my first from Aarsen. I love cowboys. I love second chance romances. So I was in. And whew boy was there some drama!
The Gist: A couple years back Kane's fiance...ran away with his brother for a life on the road as a musician. Quite the surprise when he's on the way home from errands and spots her sick on the side of the road and in need of help. Definitely going to shake up his life. Shoo!
Kane and Faith were good characters. Quite damaged but doing what they can. Kane's the strong stoic type. -
Good story; a bit laboured in the execution
A clean Christian romance, as promised. Characters that you care about, though maybe all their difficulties are a bit too easily resolved.
There is rather too much ‘commentary’, with the main characters over-analysing each other mentally during conversations, rather than allowing the reader to become more involved through the use of descriptive writing. A better balance between show and tell would make for a more gripping novel. -
This was not a bad read, but not one of my favourites. I would have like a bit more character development and less angst. I think the idea for the story is a good one (miscommunication and ergo missed opportunities), but it was just a little too emotional for me as Kane and Faith try to sort out their troubles. I did enjoy Kane's dad's character, but he was the only one to whom I really connected.

Life back on the ranch, can you ever go home again?
A fascinating story, characters who are dealing with the effects of their choices, good and otherwise, family and friends. This is a book worth reading, characters worth getting to know. Another really good book from Carolyn Aarsen. -
I received a copy of this from BookSends ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a sweet clean romance and shows the wonder of second chances. I enjoyed the story and the characters very much. -
Forgiveness
Faith was passing through on her way to Calgary not expecting to see her ex. Kane was home helping his grandfather fix up the ranch to sell. Little did they both know that forgiveness is easy but being separated it so much harder. -
The Ranch
I loved this story , it was very well written and executed in a great family way. I will recommend this book to my friends and family for sure. I m looking forward to reading the rest of this family ties series. Thanks so much Carolyne. You are great 😁 -
Oh, so sweetly and realistically illustrates the gift of grace, a father's love, and forgiveness.

Fantastic heart warming story of a second chance at love. From the beginning you just want things to work out for all the characters.

Conflicting. That is how I feel about A Cowboy's Reunion.
It is a story of a Tye family legacy; and it is more than just the sprawling ranch. As all his children, both adopted and his own, have fled the ranch, Zach has put it up for sale. Which brings Kane home. Circumstances force Faith, Kane's ex-fiancee, to stay at the ranch as well, which leads to unearthing a lot of feelings and events from their past.
On one hand, I see a well-written, solid story line with so many appealing scenes. I love the theme of redemption, of prodigals coming home, of restoration, of learning from mistakes. There's so much encouraging, uplifting, inspiring dialogues and scenes. Totally worthy of five solid stars.
And, yet, on the other hand, the family drama felt a bit overwhelming. I felt repelled from rather than drawn to the characters. Despite hope-filled scenes, the overall mood was rather gloomy for me. I also think the violence committed against the women in this book got more or less brushed over and not addressed enough.
But it could be, I was just not in the right frame of mind to read this story. Who knows.
A Cowboy's Reunion is a deep and serious story of second chances not only for the main characters, but a number of secondary ones as well. -
A Broken Heart & A Misunderstood Dream
Kane had his heart totally broken when his fiancée Faith broke their engagement to go join a band & his foster brother Elliott left with her. He left the family farm when he couldn't handle the memories & went to work on oil rigs. It has been 2 years & he returns to help his adopted father get the ranch ready to sell. Faith is on her way to Calgary when Kane & his father Zach find her on the side of the road. She is ill & they take her to their farm so she can rest & recuperate. So many secrets between them, will they be able to deal with the past & reunite to build a life together like they had planned. Each must face their fears, feelings for each other & their families to decide if they want to trust in God & what they want for the future. -
A Cowboy's Reunion - This may be my first read by this author and I love her writing style. This clean, second chance romance is a delightful read. It is wonderful to read a story that does not contain the stupid "modern" version of females that mistreat men and disrespect themselves.
All the characters are decent people doing the best they can. They learn their lessons and do not follow the silly head games theme that so common nowadays. God plays an important role in the lives of everyone, even the ones who left Him behind and lost th egg or self-confidence.
The author weaves an intriguing, detailed fabric richly blending the characters, the locations and the emotions into a mesmerizing tale of love, family and the power of faith. 5* -
I think my favorite character may have been Zach. His steadfast love through family trauma would be a beacon home to his biological daughter and adopted sons no matter where they find themselves. His love extended to Faith, the runaway fiancée of adopted son, Kane. The story is of choices made in our lives and the consequences and hurts that follow until we allow God to heal those hurts and point out a better path. Lots of twists in this story and two very sweet children, Cash and Hope.
