Jesusssssssssss take the wheel that ending wasn't expected but oh so good. I just know Jahquel not going to do that baby like that and just let her die. Mannnnnn I know this got Zeek, Zoe, and Zee name all over it because it probably been a set up since the beginning. I'm waiting on when Ghost confronts Free about the twins since Staten done spilled the beans I can't wait to see how that turns out. I just know it's about to be a lot of secrets revealed and I'm so ready for the drama, and that darn Kiss make me want to whoop her a$$. Part 2 ASAP -
Started off good
The story started off good, but once we got to the ten years I was over it. I kept reading because I was wondering where the women were.
Ghost talked all that stuff about shakira, but he stayed, like that didnt make no type of sense. How was he any better? She wasnt a good mother, she didnt work,she didnt take care of the house, and she was super disrespectful to yo momma and sister. He still gave her money anytime she asked for it, and they never had sex. Why was he with her again? Then to say u propose to her because of her parents, like I didnt understand that. Ghost was suppose to be this big man in the streets, but he was a bi@t in his personal life.
Then this priest dude got on my nerve soooo bad. Dude u ain't the first person to have to raise kids. Y lead Marisol on, when he saw her catching feelings he should have left her alone. His chapters was repetitive just like ghosts chapters.
This story was already starting to work my nerve with all the repetition, these characters repeated the same stuff over and over..but when it got to Free's chapter and she started talking abt hiding babies, i stopped reading right there. I wont finish this series now. Like what did this man do to you that got u hiding babies for 10 years? I hate when the authors make their characters do that like why make the kids suffer? So now I dont like her character anymore. She decided to run drugs and money, it wasn't like he was beating her and making her do it. -

First off...thank you for bringing the forgotten borough to light. Grew up on Long Island my entire life and been to Staten Island 4 times. Makes me want to take a trip just to ride around.
Ok so I fought Shakira about 100 times. At one point I put the book down saying I was done reading ( it lasted about 5 minutes) this book because this thot was on my last nerve. Her payday is coming. Staten has me cracking up, we all need a friend like him. Priest, he will be blessed because some sperm donors would never think about giving up their dreams to raise 3 girls. Ghost reminded me of Ghost from Power. That’s who he looks like in my head. Free, Jus and Liberty are my sisters from another mister.
Please don’t leave us hanging for too long. I feel like I’m holding my breath for the next book. Sheesh! -

Once again, Fatima’s always choose a good series to discuss for her readers group. The drama is starting. The characters are wilding, emotional and dramatic. Jahquel J does a good job.
Hopefully, Justice will getting herself together and leave Todd alone because he’s a bad news and selfish person. My heart goes to those beautiful Ghost’s kids and Staten. Ghost needs to keep his eyes and ears open to Shakria. She’s a needy, unreasonable and unstable person. However, Ghost should confront Free about their twins.
So far, I enjoyed reading A Staten Island Love Letter: The Forgottwn Borough because it’s a emotional and interesting story. I can’t wait to read part two.

Past and Present!
Free loved her some Ghost. Liberty her twin loved Pook and Baby sister Justice had a crush on Priest. Free finds a way to leave Ghost and Liberty finds out as Pook gets sentenced there is another Mrs with a baby on the way. Ghost and Staten are brothers and they are looking to be millionaires one day. Priest the brother from another mother is suddenly gifted with his 3 nieces and relationships are a no no although he in the past had a. Rush on Justice. 10yrs past and everyone is a like older wi secrets that are slowly spilling out, people from the past are being released from jail and everything that glitters is not gold. When tragedy hits Justice and now Ghost, their lives are getting ready to meet Pain and hopefully they get through it together but Staten called Ghost when he saw Free’s twins. It’s on in more ways than one in Part 2!!!!! -
Just the beginning
This feels like it’s just the beginning of a dope new series filled with emotional drama. Gyson and Free have made their way back to each other but how will the twins factor into how he deals with her? Will Staten and Summer survive? I don’t like Shakira either. I hope she is left in the dust. I like Chanel and Staten’s friendship but I wonder if they can fully transition into being a real couple or parents. Priest is such a good guy. They way he is with his nieces and the affection he’s shown Justice is admirable. I feel sorry for Marisol but who wants a complacent low aspiring woman ? Liberty was taken by surprise when Pook did her dirty in Court but is it more to their story? -
Whew Chile!
First and foremost that cliffhanger wow! This book is so amazing so far and it’s so much to unravel and reveal but when it gets to the bottom of things I know it’s going to be great... Free need to tell Ghost her secret but that damn gossiping Staten let the cat out the bag. I love that Ghost was transparent and kept it real with Free and let her know what it was even if he kinda stuck with Shakira trifling behind... I just pray that Justice pulls through and that she don’t return to Todd and give Priest the chance to be the man she needs... Staten will pull through but I know Ghost is going to causing nothing but chaos in those streets about his daughter and brother... Definitely can’t wait to dive into part 2 -

How do I even start this review? The prologue had me in tears as I witnessed these characters downfalls... Fast forward, 10 years later... Man... I can’t even imagine! I love everything about these characters! Down to the stupid decisions they’ve made. Every emotion, and every piece of drama that has unfolded throughout this crazy story has me on the verge of tears... So much background crap, and so many more hurdles to come over... I don’t know if I’ll make it through part 2! 🤦🏾♀️😢 I just hope that Author Jaquel brought MORE fire, because I have no choice but to be ready! -
Jahquel keeps me happy
Again give been swept away into the story and loving every minute. Every time I think I have my favorite characters another series sneaks in and make it hard for me to not like. Getting to kno these ppl is crazy they’re all always somehow connected, and whether it’s through loyalty they all look out for one another. Ghost and Free seem to be meant for one another organically I’m hoping he gets rid of the waste of woman he has and gets his girl back. I can’t wait until he lets free kno he knos her secret......I’m hoping he will be able to forgive her....... we’ll see

Ok I rarely write reviews, I'll rate books but that's usually it. Well Ms. Jahquel, I love your books and you've become one of my favorite authors, this one is the truth! And I'm in my feelings right now! How could you leave me hanging? I need part 2 NOW! I love how you started by giving the back story then brought it current 10yrs later. There isn't 1 character that I like more than others but I think I'm in love with Ghost please take me out of my misery and drop pt 2 -

Wow this is so look amazing. Written with so much passion you can feel each and every Characters and fears. I Absolutely love Freedom and I don't blame her I'm sure G would have understood but then again he may not have. Let the pieces fall where they may but Free and G are gonna make. Priest and Justice man they are meant to be. Kiss let me not lol. But she will be alright as well. Now Staten and Lib ........on to book 2. Lol awesome job Jah -
Need book 2
This is a build up story for sure...but the author explains that I the intro...
I am looking forward to reading all the layers of the story. It's based on 7 main people so far; sisters, brothers and best friends. This is the base layer and you get to know everyone and how they connect. This book is also touching on domestic violence, raising kids after a parent dies and a lot of hurt people that don't know how to communicate. The fav so far is Priest. This was well written and hooks you in like a soap opera. In to book 2 -

That damn Free irking my nerves why she just won’t tell Ghost that he has kids and Ghost fiancée is a hoe straight up I don’t like her I feel like Zeek just fckng eith Liberty bc he know Free used to date Ghost that damn Zoe is something else and I pray Justice Staten and Summer pull through that darn Todd I tell you the truth and I pray Justice and Priest get together all I can say is all hell about to break loose can’t wait for part 2 don’t keep me waiting long -
Hurrt up part 2
Loved this book so much!!! I like how Free moved on with her life after Ghost but it was wrong on so many levels to keep his babies away from him. Priest is the man in this new series. I like Staten and hope he makes it through the shooting. Ghost is THNIC and he loves him some free. I can't wait to see what's going to happen once this baby needs blood... Wow... ITE about to go down in book two. -
Hmmm, could ya even four stars
I really this book but a little disappoint in Staten and Liberty being an after thought. I mean liberty barley got three chapters and staten maybe got three. I hat that the introduce all they main players but don’t give them equal time. So, I’m going to assume that Lib and Stan will be creature more in the next book. Hell, I hope it not more than a three series book but won’t hold my breath. -

Listen from beginning to end this was a lit novel. But imma need you to write me in because Shakira needs her fake behind beat back into the original package. She bugging from top to bottom. Now the family meeting family has me in awe. I absolutely love Priest relationship he wants to build with Justice. But Kiss babyyy Imma need her to get it all the way together for real omg😒 I need part 2 this review got me hype -

So it’s definitely about to come out that Ghost ain’t Summers father ,but am anxiously waiting. Priest is my favorite character and I am loving him &justice bond. There’s so much drama going on and although I felt it took time for the storyline to develop it’s still a must read. I wanna know what botox Barbie Shakira gonna do when Ghost leave her for Free😝. And how will Liberty get her happy ever after🤔 -
Staten Island Love
This book is good. It touched on so many aspects of being in love and going through heartbreak, abuse, and realizing real love. It touched on terrible mothers and some of the selfishness that parents display that can hurt children forever. I'm ready for Freedom to come clean and Shakira to bounce. I'm also ready for Justice to leave Todd and Staten to settle down.
