Daniel Tiger goes to the potty in this relatable 8x8 storybook based on an episode of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. This book comes with a double-sided poster that little ones can hang up in the bathroom!
Do you have to go potty? Maybe yes? Maybe no? Why don’t you sit and try to go?
Daniel is so excited to go to the market that he insists he doesn’t need to go potty. But then he learns that it’s important to try to go before leaving the house! This storybook about going to the potty includes a double-sided poster with an “I Spy” game that little tigers can play while they’re sitting on the toilet.

Got some new Daniel Tiger books for Lily.
In this story, Daniel and Mom are on the way to the neighborhood market to get some ingredients for lunch. Daniel is anxious to get there and meet his friend Katerina, so he refuses to use the bathroom before going. Mom lets him experience the natural consequence of having to turn around and go home when he ends up having to pee, causing them to be late to meet his friend.
Later, they're able to meet up with the friend anyway and they all make lunch together. Daniel's tummy hurts while they're cooking and Mom reminds him that sometimes that might mean... poop!
Although our family is immersed in potty humor, I have to admit, Daniel Tiger's poop was not something I ever, ever wanted to think about. That being said, this was a great book to show why it's important to go before you go, as it were.
It could be my imagination, but I feel like Lily's been having fewer accidents since we got this book. -
A great book for toddlers to learn to go potty
