This was just one big what the fuck. I'm all for taboo stories, and was super excited when I saw this one. But hot damn was this one not my cup of tea. I don't know if I read something different from the other reviewers, but this wasn't it at all.

The writing style was super repetitive and several times the same thing was said over and over--like we get it fam. And I'm sorry but who in the world can take that much their first time with anal sex? For a doctor, our hero should have known better. I wished the sex was better, and that their was an actual build up to the relationship rather than it being wam-bam. There was no connection between any of the characters and I had a hard time connecting with any of them because we never got a chance to grow with them.

And if those things weren't enough-- as a bisexual female myself, I didn't appreciate how the story depicted the mother:

"This is a marriage of convenience, where he gets a green card and she gets a lifestyle upgrade. Not only that, but my mom is likely bisexual, and is using this opportunity to explore her lesbian fantasies, probably with George's approval."

Bisexuals and lesbians are two very different orientations. Just because a bisexual is with another women, does not make them lesbians or lesbian fantasies. This isn't the only instance that rubbed me the wrong way and the only reason I didn't DNF was because the book is only 50ish pages long, and I was basically almost done.

Meh. Maybe a full review to come? Don't know. It was a freebie on Amazon and thought I'd get a quick and steamy read. It was quick, but it did nothing for me. It wasn't awful and I did laugh at a few parts. Maybe not the parts that were meant to get a chuckle. Sadly the writing was . . . repetitive and uninspired. The sex scene did nothing for me, and the taboo aspect of it was left to do ALL the heavy lifting. I was actually more interested in the lead's mom's sexual life. These kind of reads should give you goose bumps along with . . . other feelings. Nope. Nothing. Uninspired and honestly very boring. It is a skill to pull a reader into a story like this and make you FEEL. So hats off to the all the amazing authors' works I've read before that nail it. *winks*

    A bit disappointed

I’ve read this author before and that book was smoking hot so I thought this would be too. It kinda fell flat. They only had anal sex in the book, which was ok but there was also no sense of claiming and connection. And it would have been sexier and more taboo had her ex stepdad claimed her virginity for himself, which he doesn’t. Just meh.

Mommy’s ex is book one in the boyfriend diaries series. This story is short, fast paced and a quick read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. Kayla isn’t surprised when her mother turns up with another new boyfriend. What she is shocked by is their quick engagement and marriage. Kayla can’t help but be attracted to her mom’s new husband. George is a successful daughter. As a Greek, he needed to marry for a green card, that is where Kayla’s mother comes in. George knows it is wrong but he is attracted to his new stepdaughter. Four years later and George is divorced but still sharing a house with his ex wife and stepdaughter. When Kayla returns from college, sparks fly between Kayla and George, will they finally give into their desires?
The chemistry between George and Kayla is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

3/5 STARS. They had one scene together before her mom and George got married as a marriage of convenience. Kayla’s mother got married to George the same day they met. George and Kayla desired each other but neither made a physical move towards each other. Kayla would always tempt him especially after the divorce. One day after 4 years of them all living together Kayla is playing with a vibrator and she gets it stuck and deicides to ask George for help and he does. Soon help turns into full on back door sex to help her reach an orgasm to get the toy out and during that time they say their I love yous and shit and I was like woah that’s way to early but it’s been 4 years of conversations and feelings so I get it. Sort of. In the epilogue they get married and turns out Kayla’s mother Victoria is gay or bisexual idk.

SMUT: 3/5 Only back door is shown.

When she's 16, Kayla's mother, Victoria, marries George, a Greek doctor, so he can stay in the country. It's totally a marriage of convenience, but Kayla is uncomfortable because of her own attraction to George. There's not much to worry about as it turns out, since they hardly ever see each other and he and her mother divorce after his green card comes through. But four years later, when Kayla comes home from college, she has a little problem that needs a doctor's attention and George and Kayla finally realize that the attraction is completely mutual.

What the what? I read this because it seemed kinky, smutty and short and played an interesting little "all-in-the-family" dynamic. In execution, this just didn't work. First of all, for me, smut must be at least somewhat plausible. And this had me rolling my eyes like crazy. First of all, Kayla loses a 2-inch vibrator in her vagina. So I'm suspending disbelief for a moment. Well she can't fish it out and doesn't have the thought to google it like everyone else would. So she seeks out hot and sexy, older, former step-father, George. He doesn't suggest she simply squat and push (because that would definitely do it)...so let's assume he skipped his female anatomy classes. He goes digging for it and can't even touch it. How the fuck long is this girl's vagina anyway? Or are his fingers spectacularly short? So he suggests the only way to get it out is to have anal sex with him...then when she cums, it'll just pop out. So he shoves his virgin ex-stepdaughter down on to his 10-inch cock for her first anal sex experience, she starts out of the blue calling him "daddy" and she comes (of course), and out that little vibrator pops. Then they're shouting out their love for one another (after spending 10 whole minutes together ) and they're celebrating their marriage in the epilogue at the same tacky Vegas chapel he married her mother in.

So this had some sexiness factor, which is why we're at 2 stars, but the ridiculously contrived situation, the Daddy kink, the fact that we jump straight into anal sex, they never even kiss and then they suddenly "love" each other? These are all too much for me to handle.

Gah, what did i just read? I was looking for something short and fun, as i just read a something recently in this type of genre. However this one has indeed put me in a spot of actually giving something 1 star, the premise of it was not the best and the dirty deeds i would call it was actually not the greatest either.

I do not have much to say for it as i just did not care/like it and not many pages to go off of. Just fast pace and not what i was look forward to be reading. Kinda wished it was a bit different.

I enjoyed this quick, fun and naughty read. Sinfully steamy, Kayla and George's story offers a enticing blend of heat, heart and tension. I highly recommend this book to readers that are fans of the forbidden romance trope. It is also an excellent choice if you need a palate cleanser or want something that is not a time commitment. This is my independent, impartial review.

This is the 1st book in a new series, and what an introduction this is. George is Greek and need a green card to stay in US, so he marries Victoria, which is all very well until he meets her daughter Kayla. This is a good short story with an older man / younger woman scenario. I recommend for all.

    Sweetest taboo

George is Kayla's Ex but he is exactly that so he is free to and clear. He was attracted to Kayla from the beginning and he was a gentleman about it, he never cross the line even though he suspected that she felt the same way about him. You love who you love and I don't think it should matter who's ex you were ore anything else as long as you are not purposefully getting hurting anyone or breaking the law. The only opinions that matters are the two people in the relationship. This is a very enjoyable read

  • Stephanie Bolen

    It's horrible

Oy, I knew it would be bad. The lost vibrator was interesting. The anal not so much. Besides an anal orgasm can be rendered manually and isn't as intense as a vaginal one. Both at the same time is always the best way to go, and he didn't even give her a reach around. The reiteration of the whole mom isn't married to him anymore and it was fake anyway is stupid. The hints of teasing before college should have just been a scene. There are better erotica short stories out there.

  • Amy [Book Addict Reviews]

It was just an okay story for me. Kayla’s mother marries George so he can stay in the country and continue pursuing his research as a Doctor. However, there is no attraction there. Purely a marriage of convenience.

Kayla goes away to college, comes home to the house that her and her mother share with George, who is now divorced from her mother. When something rather unfortunate happens to Kayla there is one man who can help her and that his George.

This story is a super quick read, has steam, pretty over the top on how George and Kayla’s relationship goes.

    Amazing short story

Amazing short story love the way the characters interact with each other. Kayla feel in love with her mother's older boyfriend which was a marriage of convenience to help him get a green card. George was a doctor learning medicine in USA because Greece was behind in medical technology. He feel in love with Ksyla when he first meet her. Can they be together or will the mother step in between them.

  • Jennifer Weaver

    Just so immature

I really wanted to like this book as a quick fast read, and it was that. But this book wasn’t even able to use adult terminology. For heavens sake her @$$ was called her back door. Are we in second grade? I think not. A great plot, was destroyed by horrific terms.

  • Pat

I was totally captivated from the very beginning with the great character and plot development that as I turned each and every page Kayla and George jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!

    Mishap of the Bullet

    Kayla & George

These two meet because of Kayla's mom. It is instant lust between them. Four years later George is divorced from Kayla's mother. This hot doctor is in love with his ex stepdaughter. 👨‍⚕️❤

I wasn't expecting award-winning writing, but I was expecting something better than this. It felt like it was written last minute, during a trip to the restroom. If I could give it a less than 1 star I would.

    Mommy's ex

For a short story this wasnt bad. There were a few typos and words missing. But all in all it was a good read. Can not wait to see what is next.
