They’re wrong.
I’m not half human, I’m half demon — and this little succubus has come to play.
My brother vanished from Seraphim Academy without a trace, and I’ll do whatever it takes to find him, including infiltrating the school myself.
Even if it means going up against my brother’s best friends, who know something about his disappearance and aren’t talking. They may be angel royalty, but if they think they can intimidate me into leaving the school, they’re wrong.
There’s also the problem of the delicious professor who knows my secret. He’s hiding something too, and I’m going to find out what it is.
But I’ll have to be careful, because if anyone finds out I’m part demon? I won’t just get kicked out of Seraphim Academy — I’ll be dead.
*Seraphim Academy is a college-age reverse harem romance with all characters 21+ and plenty of heat!*

3.8, some moments I rolled my eyes at. But only in the middle and it picked up. Excited for the next. Mystery abounds!
-
One word. Succubus.
Ok, a little more.
I like succubuses? Succubi? I dig the whole inciting lust thing they have going on 😍😍 .
Though I am tired of the whole "my brother is missing and I'm going undercover to find out what happened to him and in the process I'll conveniently forget that I ruled his friends suspect because they are too hot and I trust them until they betray me and I have to wreck vengeance one them" trope.
That being said, can't wait for the third book. Got the 2 under my belt already. I'm that bored, it seems. -
Wicked Wings was a pretty good start to a reverse harem series. I was hooked from the start and I can't wait to read the sequel! In this book, you'll follow a half-angel half-succubus looking for her missing brother. They share the same father and since he's disappeared, Olivia is willing to do anything, including putting herself in danger to find out what happened to him and if he's still alive.
Turns out, being half-angel & half-demon is forbidden and she spent her entire life hiding her identity. So when she gets into the Seraphim Academy, she'll have to pretend to be half human instead.
As for the MCs... we have one delicious professor with a secret and three "Princes". My favorite was the professor (she had some major chemistry with him), then Marcus and at the bottom Bastien & Callan. Callan still fights his attraction to her and Bastien is a bit too emotionless so far. I'm really excited to see their relationships evolve though! -

this book was a bummer. so it started pretty well but then in between, I just lost track of what was happening. so now instead of listing down points on why or why not I like the book, I would be doing it in a mini q and a form. you will be informed if a question or answer contains a spoiler.
Q1) What was the book about - the book was about a half-demon- half-angel girl, who goes to attend an academy for angels to find her brother who went missing the last term. the whole academy is run by mostly archangels and Raziel is the demon studies professor! (if you have no clue of what I am talking about then please view my status updates on this book)

Q2)How was the plot?
- I wouldn't call this book the best in terms of plot because the first half of this book was amazing but then the plot became unclear and also very frustrating to read at some point. though I must say that this book had me hooked for the first part
Q3) how were the characters?
- umm, the characters weren't all the best except Olivia- our main character. we were constantly switching points of view in this one so we couldn't understand where characters stood with each other. but the relations that were easy to get, they were good.
so, in short, the book was ok. am I going to read the next books? probably not because I didn't like the ending of this very much. saying that the ending sucked would be an understatement because *spoiler ahead* they still didn't find her bro and have only one clue *end of spoiler*
on a more positive note- I liked the main character because she was just so damn independent and strong. and you should probably try reading it if you liked the summary and have a Kindle Unlimited subscription because buying this book seems impractical.
thanks for reading and let me know what other books should I review! it's okay if I didn't read it before because I really need to start reading more. -
Maybe more of a 3.5–3.75. Look, this book isn't re-casting the die on any of this academy stuff, but I will say I found it way more enjoyable than the crap I've read recently.
Pros:
* Strong MC, but sensitive. She's a succubus with morals and a bit of a marshmallow.
* Interesting take on the ecosystem between angels, faeries, and demons. The explanation of their powers ("Choirs") was also pretty cool.
* "bully" without taking it to the extreme
* mystery and intrigue
* the guys weren't faceless or confusing (as they tend to be in RH novels). Good development there.
* there weren't too many guys--4! Just 4. This is a good number.
In spite of it being a fast-burn (hello, succubus), the relationship aspect (and trust) is slowly developing...which I didn't think I'd like (slow burn is my jam), but I couldn't see a slow-burn succubus story that wasn't fraught with all kinds of melodrama anyways (jealous dudes posturing over why she has to "feed" on other people). The mystery is a little bit predictable, but I'm okay with that because I'm still interested enough to see where it heads.
Hopes for next book:
* more Kessian.
* I hope that the MC gets some balls and buddies up with that valkyrie chick for the next book.
* Some humor. Geesh...this book was as funny as a hemmorhoid.
* Some butt-kicking both of the verbal and physical variety. She was abandoned (more or less) and made to feel like the dirty little secret in both angel and demon communities. Hold that sexy head high, girl, and do your thang!
* We meet her mother, who I feel like is probably Lilith or something. -

This book is the perfect combination of all the trends everyone is currently raving about.
Paranormal RH Academy, with a tiny touch of bully. The MC is strong and independent, with a unique background and a good heart. Throw in some swoon worthy and slightly forbidden romances with guys who aren't as mean as they think they are and my character driven self is intrigued.
Elizabeth Brigg's writing elevates this book above the glut of books with similar themes currently clogging my Amazon recommendations. -
I feel like I have so many questions....
Wicked Wings was a pretty good start to the Seraphim Academy Series. In it, you will meet Olivia who is half angel and half demon. So basically she's an impossible child because angels and demons are forbidden to be together. Since she's alive and kicking, she is out to find one person: her brother Jonah.
Somehow he has gone missing and apparently no one knows where he is or what actually happened. Yet, she has hypothetically guessed where he could be: the faeries. Throughout the book you start to realize that other people actually know where he is. Meaning his girlfriend and his so called best friends know exactly where he is and why he was there.
Honestly, I was a bit mad that no one has done anything to find him. They all know where he is and have just sat pretty doing absolutely nothing. I mean, Olivia always thought he was there but never knew why. Now that she does know I'm wondering what the heck is going to happen next. I'm hoping he's still alive and she can rescue him. Mostly because everyone else is basically useless in my eyes right now.
Other than that, I really want to know more about her mom and if she's really alive or not. I also want to know more about the order and the fallen angel. So yeah, lots of questions need answers. -
Actually 4.5 stars
Olivia is a forbidden creature, a half-angel, half-demon who shouldn't exist. Her archangel father ignores her, but his son Jonah, her half-brother, becomes Olivia's only real family. So when he disappears from the Seraphim Academy, a kind of college for angels, Olivia goes undercover to find out what happened to him, even knowing that she may be killed if they find out she's half-demon. Along the way she encounters the Princes of the school (three sons of archangels who were her brother's best friends), her brother's angelic girlfriend, a secret society, and a teacher with secret.
I love this book. Briggs does an amazing job of world-building, describing the different classes of supernatural beings (angels, demons, and fae) and their relationship to each other, as well as the school itself. Olivia has fantastic chemistry with her four guys, and develops good female friendships as well (especially with her half-fae roommate). The secret society adds another layer of mystery to the story line. Plus, while Olivia is investigating the Princes, they're checking her out, too, since Jonah told them to get rid of her if she ever showed up. It's layers of intrigue on top of hot romance and I can't wait to read the other books in this series. -

I really enjoyed this book a lot and as I’m not usually a fan of bully romances I wasn’t expecting to love it so much. But as it’s also RH, how could I say no?! Olivia has always been the dirty little secret, her very existence illegal in the eye of other supernaturals. Half demon (succubus) and angel she’s lived her life in the shadows being raised in foster care until she meets a young boy flying outside her window, her brother. Olivia and Jonah become immediate friends, through Jonah she is able to experience the supernatural world, the same one that will never accept her. While attending the prestigious angel academy Jonah goes missing and Olivia concocts a crazy and extremely dangerous plan to bring back her brother-by attending the school undercover. I really loved Olivia and I have to give her credit because there were so many times any human would have reacted negatively given her demon side and under the guise of being a new angel she isn’t powerless she just has to act that way. It was both hard to watch and kind of painful because I really don’t know how she kept her cool at times. There is a bit of a cliffy ending and I’m all pumped for the next book. Yes the Ptinces, her three men, are her bullies only the cards are set in her favor for the next book and I can’t help but hope she gets some sweet sweet revenge 😈😈 Really pumped for the series and more of this half demon badass Olivia.

This book has really disappointed me a little. Which was simply because I had far too high expectations when I read the blurb. Again, there is the well-known problem that the novel was really good up to halfway through, and then simply fell apart because nothing happened. The writing style is continuously good, even though simple, but the plot stagnates too much, the love story develops way too fast and all its potential is wasted in the first volume. The characters don't have too much depth and sadly also don't really develop further, so that you can assume that there probably won't be much more to come. At the end you have a little climax which definitely makes you want to continue reading, but the lack of execution of the plot and lengths in the plot don't necessarily make me want to continue immediately (although I already bought the second volume here, too). Despite the disillusionment about the second part in the first volume, I will probably give the whole thing another chance in the second part. Only I don't know when yet.

it was interesting

It was a good read
Ok so here's the skinny.... This is the first time I've read anything from this author and I will continue onto the 2nd book of this series.
I'm not in love with the heroine or it's trifling heroes either ,but here's hoping things will pick up and the climax is a bit more exciting and I will feel the passion between the heroine and her heroes. -
another meh

Good but want more
This is a great start to a new RH with a bit different plot then most of the academy series. Hoping we learn a lot more of her past in the next book. There’s too much left out. I really like Olivia though and who I assume will be in the harem. I did like learning who her Dad was but what’s going on with the Mom? Who is her Mom? Hoping we get and Archdemon. Definitely can’t wait to find out what is going on with the Order and Jonah. She better make the guys work hard. -
Liv has a plan. Her brother Jonah disappeared from Seraphim Academy months ago and since the Archangel Council can't find him, she will. As a half angel half demon, she's been in hiding her entire life but now she's endangering herself, pretending to be half human half angel to infiltrate the school. She knows she will find the answers to Jonah's disappearance there, starting with his best friends. Her plans to use her succubus nature to seduce for information fails when Jonah's friends make it clear they want her gone from the school. Further complicating her plan is the appearance of the new history teacher. A sexy professor who already knows her secret. But Jonah is the one person in her life who has accepted her for who and what she is and loves her anyway. She has no plans to be intimidated or bullied into leaving. Not without Jonah.
I am ashamed to admit I am obsessed with bully romances. I can't put them down once I start reading. In theory, I don't like girls being embarrassed, bullied or shamed but there's something about the girl ending up Queen of her one time abusers that just draws me in. However, this book while technically a bully romance has a twist that takes away any hesitation on my part. There is actually a reason behind the bullying that makes sense beyond a plot device. I appreciate this so much. I really enjoyed this book. It's entertaining, has a good storyline, and is well-written. I like Liv. She's intelligent, determined, loyal, and brave. I feel sympathy for the life she had to live and I love Jonah in his big brother role. The three Angel princes, Marcus, Callan, and Bastien are all worthy and Professor Kassiel is everything. I am a big fan of Araceli but I have doubts and questions about Grace. I hope I am wrong for Jonah's sake. The politics, bias, and intrigue surrounding the Angels, Demons, Fae, the order, and the school are all fantastic. I look forward to more. -
2 Gut Churning Stars
Seraphim Academy: Wicked Wings is the first book in this series by Elizabeth Briggs.
I can honestly say this book left me disappointed. RH is one my favorite tropes to explore, and I’ve discovered so many varying experiences through the ones I’ve read. But I found this book lacking.
The plot never really seemed to know where it was trying to go. It was both flat and rather lifeless while also being impossibly all over the place.
The character development was definitely underdeveloped. Diving into the flashbacks which would last only a page or two at most left much to be desired. I wanted to know so much more about our main characters and see more growth individually and in their relationships. Everything felt very shallow. -
I came for greatness.
And greatness I received.
Obviously I'm on a Elizabeth Briggs binge and this one just hit right for me.
Being totally honest I've read all three books today from this trilogy. Legit didn't have time of patience to write the reviews after each. I am impatient. LOL.
So it's got a bully/ Y/A / RH/PNR situations that I am all for but didn't expect. Normally I hate bully, with one exception.. the Heroine is not a push over and I have to say I got that and then some. It's not a typical bully trope. So if like me you are wary after seeing it mentioned in reviews... don't be its not what you think.
So I read the devil's trilogy first so I've already met the awesome 5some Olivia, Kessian, Callan, Marcus and Bastien. So I already knew the outcome I just didn't know the how it started and the what happened in between. Lordy it was a freaking journey.
I loved Olivia. Half angel half demon she literally is the best of both worlds however unfortunately for her she's forbidden. So apon getting into Seraphim Academy she has to hide the dark side and pretend to be a mere half mortal to save face and get the answers she's searching for.
Her character arc was an interesting one for sure. She spent a whole lot of time alone which forced her to be independent and stand up for herself. She was strong and fiesty and the perfect balance of right and wrong. Plus.. she's part succubus. I mean... hot right.
The story starts with her starting school and running right into the prince's. It's safe to say it was not a pleasant meeting and only got worse from that moment on.
I enjoyed the tension between the characters. It definitely made for an intense build up that had me guessing the whole way. I loved the bickering and the banter, the sexual tension was palpable and I enjoyed the slow budding connections that blossomed as their journey progressed.
It is very fascinating how different each male was and I found it refreshing that not everyone was on the same page. It made for an interesting dynamic for sure.
Their story is crazy right. So much unknown. So many secrets and lies. With every page it was something different and I found myself completely engaged and invested in their journey and what would become of them.
As first books go this hit well and provided a solid foundation for the rest of the series to build from in terms of plot progression and character development.
Let's just say book two got a whole lot more crazy... -
1) Missing (half) brother, so sister goes to academy to find him trope. Similar to Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac
2) Secret society at school that is the reason for missing brother trope. See. Ruthless boys.
There were lots of other similarities & i am actually surprised the sisters who wrote Ruthless Boys haven’t sued this author. And I don’t write that lightly.
I also made the mistake of buying the audible version. The male voice actor is horrible.
Of COURSE you cannot hear a sample of his voice on the sample given.
Only the female.
His voice sounds so light and not masculine at all. Fine for the professor but the male angels/love interests/bullies are supposed to be large and imposing. But his voice makes them all sound like choir boys.
So do yourself a favor and skip the audio version of this.
I am super disappointed bc I liked the books by her zodiac wolves or what have you. Although that series is dragging on.
Anyhoo. I will carry on listening to this book series bc i have all three on audio. So I’m stuck with it.
But trust me. If you want to read this. Read it.
But DO NOT BUY THE AUDIO VERSION bc the male sucks. -
This hit the spot 😉
This was great. It has a good premise (infiltrating the academy to find missing brother), and a good hook with Liv being a half angel half demon. Her initial reception at the school was mixed, but she made friends and kept trying to uncover more about her brothers disappearance.
However, it was the douche canoe Princes that really annoyed me. They acted no better than prissy mean girls (destroying property, writing mean notes and scrawling messages on her dorm door. I really expected more from the ‘kings’ of the school.
There is a lot of snooping around, revealing and betrayal, so that helps make up for the lacklustre decent guy representation.
3.5 stars ⭐️ -
Okay this was good. I liked the way the story was told and how you found out points at certain times. I felt the characters worked well together and I liked how the harem came about. I don't have a favorite guy yet. I enjoyed how she got into the school in the first place and the guys did go too far in the end and it'll be interesting to see if she gets her revenge in the next book. So we know where her brother was last and what he was looking for. The question is if push came to shove who would she chose the demons or the angels? it's about time that her father stood up and claimed her.

WOW! Loved this book, this has been on my tbr list for ever and a new author for me, can't believe i have only just read this and boy what a story this was.
It had it all from intrigue to plenty of action love/hate relationships this was a none stop page turner of a book that had me hooked from the off.
Straight off to download the next book. Brilliant. -
If you’re a fan of Zodiac Academy/Ruthless Boys…go read this!
This book broke me out of the worst book slump ever! It is a bully romance so just be aware, but I loved it sooo much! 10/10 would recommend -
