You're all alone in a deserted city. You walk down an empty street, yearning for the sight of one living face—one moving figure. Then you see a man on a corner and you know your terror has only begun.

I found this little novella quite interesting, albeit short. Given I listened to Mark Nelson while reading the text, the overall effect was especially effective & interesting.

Heavily laced with some old school cheese. That said, it was interesting and I liked the more human focused bad guy in the wake of an alien invasion. The ending with the aliens is a fairly blatant rip off of HG Wells in War of the Worlds, but there are only so many clean ways to wrap up an alien invasion in an hour and a half book.
