Finis Terrae: Ein Nachlass Reviews

Polyglots are my personal heroes, but it is beyond my comprehension what this book was about.
I love its title which means ''borders of the world'' or ''land's end'', but I DON'T have a clue what was going on in it, I really don't. Schrott wrote this long introduction explaining what's about: Greek sailor who lived 400 years BC, who apparently discovered European north and came to Thule, which is in Yemen according to my knowledge, but Thule here is somewhere close to Greenland, but there is no physical evidence of this theory. But I still didn’t get it, because even if I had Homer’s writings in my little finger, I would still feel like I had no brain. Is it a fiction or not. Reading must be accompanied with various history encyclopaedias and lexicons as even God almighty Wikipedia is not enough.
