Without a Trace: Unsolved Disappearances and Mysterious Vanishings Reviews

Ok
This man needs to fire his editor. While the stories themselves were fascinating, several grammar and spelling errors took away from the experience. -
There are so many interesting and cold missing cases, that it can be hard to put them all into one place. But this book pulls together some of the most fascinating and interesting cold cases of all time.
Without A Trace follows several different cases, talking through the different areas of each one, and what could have happened. While we may never know with all of them, some of them are able to be solved - someone always knows something. It is just sometimes a matter of time before the truth comes out.
Grab this book and dive into some of histories most enduring cold cases. Check them out, mull them over, and keep the history alive with these cold cases!! -
Haunting
"These dead men do tell tales, but their voices come from a place from which they will never be found."
From the Lost Colony of Roanoke Island, the 'Mary Celeste' in 1872, the vanishing of three lighthouse keepers from Eilean Mor all they way through history to the missing news anchor Jodi Sue Huisentruit, and the man who vanished in an airplane bathroom. These haunting and well-rounded tales of the vanished will most certainly keep you up at night. -
I do love a good mystery and the best kind are true mysteries; Lizzie Borden, Jack the Ripper, etc.
Troy Taylor gives us little known mysteries of real people who vanished without a trace, never to be seen or heard from again. I find these just as fascinating.
I met Troy at the Haunted America Conference in Alton, IL last year and he signed all the books of his that I bought. He is a thorough researcher and a shy, nice guy. -
3.5 entertaining as well as frightening. even tho there where a couple of cases I already knew, I still enjoyed reading new info and hypothesis of what some thought happened.
it's a good book to pass time, specially if you're into real crime.
also, while I was reading I noticed the voice I was listening to was ryan Vergara's lol (he's from Watcher, YouTube channel, but was previously on buzzfeed unsolved) that was fun. -
Super Well-Researched !!
This is the first "missing persons" book that I've read which UNCOVERS FACTS about sooo many disappearances. The amazing author, T. TAYLOR really tells Truth amidst a lot of myth and legend. BEST Missing Persons Book yet! -
Great cross section of tales
Taylor explores these disappearances with an eye for those most mysterious and least likely to be solved. He sprinkles in both famous and obscure tales. Great job! -
Just okay.
I like that this book went in chronological order. I felt that each story was well researched. However, there are numerous typos, grammatical errors and quotes cited incorrectly. I felt like this took away from the book as a whole. -
The spelling errors were tough to get through and the cases were mostly the well known ones. I did enjoy the quick recap of each.
-
It's an easy read as to the mysterious disappearances , but the editing is awful.

Decent enough but needs a lot of editing help.
