Ever since Dick Bruna created Miffy in 1955, she has endeared herself to generations of young children and has become one of the best-loved children’s book characters of all time. In this charming new addition to the Miffy story, Miffy takes inspiration from a visit to an art museum and decides to become an artist herself. Looking at the colors and shapes of the world around her, she discovers what fun it can be to make pictures of the things she sees. By bedtime, her bedroom walls are covered with her wonderful artwork. An inspiring book for budding artists and a terrific introduction to the value of a visit to the art museum—Miffy will find new fans with this volume.

This book has recently been added to my small collection of favorites, which I return to again and again for its simplicity, charm, and ingenious use of that universal archetype, the ball. Look closely and you will see the ball as leitmotif, in the guise of a tree, an apple, the sun, and other cross-culturally recognized emblems of life, light, and growth. I have lately in my own research worked with the idea of "ball," and much appreciate the author's deft use of context to illustrate the multivocality of such an ancient, yet perennially relevant concept. I look forward to reading more of Miffy and her adventures, as soon as I find a way to gain access to these and other books my family has, irritatingly enough, placed on some of the higher shelves in our home.

Cute short book about Miffy, a bunny, who goes to the art studio. She goes home and draws her own pictures and puts them on the wall, her own mini-studio. She goes to bed tired, dreaming of the next day what she would draw.

A wonderful, colourful kids book, with simple art and story that kids will love.

This little book is about Miffy, a little bunny, who goes to an art gallery. She's so impressed with what she sees that when she goes home she creates her own art. Really cute illustrations.

Um...not horrible, but not my thing. 3- and 4-year-olds who like to draw might like it.

I definitely read this in the art collection's gift shop. It counts!

I love children's books about art and this one did not disappoint! Abby wanted this one at bedtime the whole time we had it out from the library.
