Charles and Lizzie Peterson are very good with puppies. They want one of their own, but their mom has never been ready for them to have one full time. For now, they help take care of puppies that need to find a new home. Lizzie helps out at the local dog shelter and the shelter's newest arrival, Skipper, has a surprise: three newborn puppies! The Petersons decide to foster all four dogs. Will they be able to find just the right home for all of them and can Mrs. Peterson resist even these adorable pups?

Lizzie and Charlie Peterson have fostered 4 puppies in the past. This time though their parents have also fallen in love with their current foster puppy, Buddy. Will Buddy be the one that the Peterson family finally decide to keep as their own? I continue to love these books chock full of dogs and puppies.

It was good, but obviously not the kind of book I normally like to read. I just read it for a quick read, and because I went somewhere and only brought two books which I finished, so I borrowed this from my sister :)

This hysterical realistic fiction is about a mother and 3 puppies who were found next to a firehouse when a firefighter found them.He took them to a animal shelter named caring paws.But the problem is that caring paws doesn't have more space for the mother and 3 puppies.So, the Petersons foster the dog and puppies.What I want to remember is when the puppies were doing a food fight.I have schema with this book because I have a puppy who was as humorous as the 3 puppies.

This was a cute book and a very quick read. I think young kids (5 and up) would love this book to pieces. It has a good story and is great for dog lovers or just plain animals lovers. I am a cat lover but still found a good story in this book.

Lizzie and Charles, her younger brother, are in elementary school. They have been bugging their parents to get a dog but their mom is a cat person and has said no. She agrees to let them foster dogs so they can see what it's like having the responsibility of having a dog.
Lizzie volunteers at an animal rescue which is overloaded with dogs. Since Lizzie and her family foster dogs, she meets Skipper, a new dog, and she gets a surprise ... not only does Skipper need a foster home but she also has three young puppies. Lizzie's parents agree to foster them and give them names. They name the only male puppy Buddy and he needs a bit more help as he's the runt. Lizzie and her family organize an adopt-a-thon at a local bookstore to raise awareness of the bookstore but also to find homes for the dogs in the shelter.
Though this book is a quick read and directed at elementary-aged children, I found it entertaining. There is a learning experience and a puppy tip at the end. It is written in third person perspective and first person from Rascal's point of view. It is the fifth in the Puppy Place series, which currently has 64 books in the series, and works as a stand alone.

Lizzie entered Caring Paws an animal adoption centre she is going to foster a puppy, and then find them forever homes. Ms.Dobbins said Lizzie could foster Skipper an adult dog she has three puppies. Lizzie said ok all I have to do is just convince my mom. She then called her mom on the phone to come and check Skipper out. When she came to Caring Paws it took a while to convince her. After they took the puppies home they were trying to think of names. It was hard to agree on each other until mom named the names Cinamon Coaco and Buddy however they just named Skipper Skipper. Soon the puppies grew up they put up signs for people to adopt the puppies and Skipper. Nobody came so they decided they could plan a party for the puppies at the library. Everyone agreed. After they planned the party at least 7 puppies got adopted and they got to keep Buddy they liked him the best. Everyone was happy!

Another good read for my daughter and me. Taking care of one puppy is always hard, but taking on to foster three puppies and their mother is an even harder task for Lizzie and her family, but one they are all willing to work together on. We haven't read these in order, but my daughter enjoys getting to read about all the dogs/puppies that get fostered and on to new homes. She is ready to move on and see what adventure is next......

Although the story is cute, I don’t think the Peterson’s should have adopted Buddy, because honestly, he’s not as cute as some of the other dogs have been. But I guess they just liked him too much.
He comes in with his siblings and mother, who were all abandoned at the shelter. It is a lot of work keeping three puppies and their mother happy but in the end they all find good , homes and the Peterson’s get a dog. -
Cute how they ended up having to get to keep a puppy, finally!

Read aloud for my second grade son. He liked it but not as good as the Humphrey series.
