Book Riot 2019 Task #9: A book written prior to January 1, 2019 that has fewer than 100 reviews on Goodreads. Well-researched, intentional language, and well-constructed analysis of movement as well as acknowledgement of personal bias. I was skeptical when I learned that the author was a white woman, but she managed her subject ably. I plan to return to this text as I continue to work as a dance professional and would consider recommending excerpts to students.
