Harper Jones has lived all his life as a trapper and mountain man near Fort Laramie. As half native Crow and half white man, he’s had a hard time fitting in with just about everyone. Gaining a wife is the furthest thing from his mind until Mr. Brown makes him an offer that’s hard to refuse.
To keep either of them from backing out of the arrangement after his death, Mr. Brown asks both of them to be married by proxy before they ever meet.

Trapped by a trapper?
I hate that Harper is judged because of his heritage, but if we are honest people are still judged by heritage, income and looks in today's world, which is heartbreakingly sad
But Harper and Mabel are both such warm and loving people, content in their own company that you cannot help but love them. A lovely read on Kindle Unlimited. -
A great story
I love to read about mail order and proxy brides. However, after years of reading them you tend to know what the storyline will be. Not with "A Bride for Harper" by P. Creeden. I was surprised and pleased by this unique storyline.
I don't like reviews that tell you the story so I will just say that I believe that most readers of this genre will totally love this book as much I did. Enjoy! -
Sweet story
Maybe this story can be summed up as father knows best. Knowing he wouldn't live long and wanting to provide for his daughters a father chose the best men he could find to be husbands. This is a sweet clean love story. -

This was a cute book that reminded me of a fairytale. The characters are so wonderful, I loved Mabel the most. There is so much about this book that I loved, the quaint cabin out of the way, the personality of Harper, the fact that Mabel was ready to please the people she loved and the sweet clean romance. I love reading anything by P Creeden because the books she writes always leave me with a smile when I’m finished!

To thank Harper for saving his life he thinks one of his daughters will be a good wife. But Harper’s life isn’t easy, can he accept that offer? Can he make his proxy wife happy?
