An authentic journey of relieving the pain.

After reading Nadeem’s Journey, I was inspired to search for more books from the same author, Sherine. I found “The Ultimate Love” as another mind-blowing book. The pain of the bereavement of the own child is the utmost grief for a mother. This book is written to share the life experience of Sherine; how she managed to wipe out her tears over the course of time.
She gave birth to her first child 25 years ago and she kept her whole world before him. No wonder Nadeem’s early departure from the world made a drastic blow on his mother’s life. If you have experienced such grief, this book will be a perfect guide to relieve your pain.
This book is about life, how we need to manage and how to struggle in order to adapt to the new normal. Anyone will encounter unexpected situations at any time. Hence, I recommend this book to everyone as it gives good life lessons.

The ultimate love by Sherine Anniruth

I received a copy of the book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is dedicated to Nadeem Rajah, Sherine Anniruth's late son.
As a parent, one naturally assumes that life will progress as natured intended with everything in its rightful place and correct order, therefore parents should be the ones to pass first. Unfortunately life brings many surprises, some good, some bad, many are life-changing and ultimately the “ natural cycle “ is interrupted in the most brutal way possible.
“ I was there when Nadeem took his first and last breath. “

Sherina Anniruth has written this book which identifies this immeasurable pain of the loss of a child, with the aim to comfort others in a similar situation, experiencing the same inexplicable grief, with love, compassion and understanding. The Ultimate Love identifies each stage during the grief process whilst still acknowledging that every person grieves in their very own personal way.

Whilst being far from a joyous read, this book opened my eyes in several ways. Whilst I have not suffered such pain, I have suffered loss on more than one occasion and I can identify still certain points that are contained between the pages. I have also experenced anxiety and depression numerous times and on reading several coping mechanisms highlighted, I have also used the writing method, making notes etc. Grief, in its many forms, takes your breath away with gut-wrenching sorrow, but it does make you cherish the priceless moments you shared with a loved one. Grief is messy and different for everyone who experiences itand as Sherine Anniruth mentions several times, the amount of time that passes does not necessarily indicate how much you have healed or that someone has the right to expect you not to hurt anymore.

I can only but feel deep respect for the author for sharing her emotional feelings of “ coping “, if that is at all possible, with life without the physical presence of Nadeem. The pain is very evident on reading her distinctive sentiments concerning her love for him and continuing struggle. So to all those who mourn, cry if and when you need to for as long as you need to because in doing so you are remembering and honouring a life that lived and loved.

I rate The Ultimate Love a very heartfelt 5 out of 5 stars.

Sadly, I think many of us know the pain of loss and the terrible struggle with grief that follows. In The Ultimate Love, Sherine Anniruth guides the reader through her grieving process following the loss of her son, and in doing so shares so much warmth, wisdom and inspiration for us all.

I am not a mother myself, and so cannot even begin to imagine the pain that Sherine and so many other parents go through following the loss of a child. Furthermore, to share that experience, to relive it as you put it down on paper for others to read, must also be incredibly difficult, and so I must acknowledge Sherine’s strength here for in sharing her pain she is, I’m sure, doing much to help that of others.

Not only does Sherine share her own personal experiences with grief, but she also shares some invaluable advice on how to understand and move through your own grief and the many different forms that it can take. From facing up to your grief, understanding it and learning how to deal with the pain, Sherine offers some helpful words of wisdom to guide you through. The Ultimate Love helped me to better understand my own experience, and it also gave me an insight into how others may deal with grief – it is different for everyone, and Sherine explains how important it is to respect the way in which other’s may cope.

Deeply personal and greatly relatable, following along on Sherine’s journey really taught me some valuable lessons of my own. It is an outstanding book that all can learn from, and I urge you to both read and share it with others. Beautiful.

The Ultimate Love by Sherine Anniruth takes the reader on a rollercoaster of emotions. The author shares her experience and journey with her son’s battle with cancer. Anniruth writes candidly about how she coped and how she learned to keep going after losing her son.

Anniruth talks about grief and what it represents to her and how those feelings have a tremendous effect in her everyday life. The author also shares how meaningful it is to allow yourself to go through the healing process by facing your grief. Sherine Anniruth also shows us the importance of remembering her son, he is not physically present anymore but he is in the memories of all his family and friends.

I think this book was a great experience for me as a reader. I have not experienced the same loss that the author has experienced but I have experienced a loss of a loved one and I felt this book to be helpful to me. After processing what I had read, I realized how important it is to respect everyone's way of coping with grief and how crucial it is to be empathetic to others.

I think the author’s journey is a great way for those going through the same situation to have that shoulder to rely on, and someone to relate to. The Ultimate Love is one of those reads you want to experience and it will leave a mark on you, a positive one.

“The Ultimate Love” is a beautiful book written by Sherine Anniruth who lost her older son in the battle against cancer. Anniruth started writing as a way of relief after this tragic event and she has touched so many with her story. The author provides the reader with tips on how to cope with loss and grief and how to find inspiration to move on with your life.
In this second book, Anniruth conveys a message of hope and empathy to people who may be going through similar situations. She explains how to transform a great deal of heartache into love and calm. Although overcoming this kind of loss seems to be something impossible or very difficult to achieve, it is worth considering the author’s advice. The author’s writing style is simple and candid. I found this book to be very moving and uplifting. I felt sympathy for this strong woman who could transform a terrible event into something positive for her life and the lives of her readers. Being a mother myself, I was able to put myself in her shoes and I felt her pain as well as her triumphs.
The Ultimate Love is an outstanding book to share with others. I strongly recommend it.

It's a wonderful and powerful tool for anyone who has lost someone they loved

I stumbled into this book by chance, it was my good luck. Author Sherine Anniruth talks about her personal loss, about losing her first child in such transparent, honest yet kind way about her journey. Reading about her journey would give you strength. She doesn't hide or sugar coat the reality - and how could she - losing ones loved one, especially ones child is extremely hard. Hard than anything one might have imagined. But Sherine shows that one can cope with this tremendous pain with courage and grace.
As one should, because we must live on for our loved ones who couldn't, we must ensure that their memories love on. The way Sherine writes, in her honest and unassuming way, in the kind way, talking about every little thing, the way that only someone who has survived this intense pain can empathize, will give you strength. Please read even if you don't feel the loss but someone you know feels it, because if not strength, this book will help you understand them better and make you a better person.

This book is the author’s journey through grief after losing her eldest son to the mean hands of cancer. Its just so heart rending to read how much hurt the passing of a loved one can bring to a person, we can only say we understand, and offer sympathy but no one can truly understand what it’s like to lose a loved one, especially a child, unless they have suffered the same. May God keep all our loved ones safe and sound.

This book is about how the author found the strength in herself to overcome the grief she felt after losing her son and took conscious decisions and actions to move on, all the while cherishing the memories of her son and keeping him alive in his heart. This is an inspiration, a help, and a guide for everyone going through grief, it lists down the different stages of grief, all the hurt, and bitter questions that accompany a loss, and what can be done to finally find the peace in your heart, and come out on top of this grief. I cannot appreciate enough how the author bravely overcame her grief and turned it into something positive, and is offering it as help to anyone who is suffering from a similar loss. A very powerful read!

A story from a sensitive soul

The Ultimate Love by Sherine Anniruth is a story about the sorrow that accompanies a mother and a family after losing a loved one. Inside this book, the unimaginable feelings of grief and overwhelming sadness are put into words. Anniruth shares her experience and also provides tips to the reader on how to deal with the loss of a loved one and the grief that accompanies this loss.

The author also teaches us the importance of living life and enjoying ourselves together with the company and presence of others. The message behind this story is that we are all travellers in this life, and although some of us may stay longer, we are not going to be here forever, so we should treasure and live each moment to the fullest.

Anniruth’s words are compassionate, reassuring and caring, and she delivers a strong message of love, hope, and faith.

I recommend this book because it is consoling and I hope it is a ray of hope for future readers, too.

    A Grieving Guide

The book schools all of us on what not to say to a Grieving person. The common things we are quick to say like "God gives and takes", "he is in a better place", "don't worry this will all soon feel like a nightmare", "God understands", "God knows best"... have no meaning to them. They all feel like efforts to devalue the extent of what has really happened. This is not just a book for a grieving person to read but also for those of us with friends or family who have suffered loss. Understanding what grief is, how it affects the one who lost and what it takes to heal from grief will make us better support systems. We will not wound the already wounded further. It is a book with invaluable lessons for human beings. Spectacular!

After the emotional filled journey of first book, this one somewhere brings a little relief as she walks us through her grieving process and ultimately how she came terms with it. Again relieving a few instances of her grief makes you tear up a little not gonna lie but it's more about hope and moving on than anything else.
Reading the first book we see a strong mother but here we see her grieve too. We see a vulnerable side which we can resonate with and as she goes through various events, one can also travel along with her. This book is all about love but also about hope that you can move on and being vulnerable doesn't make you weak.
Also the tone of the book is simple and very candid and unlike the other with similar theme.

An honest account of grief following the loss of the authors son that will resonate with anyone who has lost someone or something in their lives. This whole book is filled with love and hope as well as the grief of the loss and lays bare the scars we will all carry but how we can carry on. From one of the quotes in the book I think this says it all. - There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness but of power. They are messengers of overwhelming grief and unspeakable love

I read Nadeem's Journey a while ago and I wanted to know how Nadeem's mother
    handled her grief.

Again it was a very emotional book, well written and structured. You feel
    what the author experienced.

I would like to recommend this book to people who love to read honest, emotional
memoirs. Without any doubt, I give this a 5 star rating!

THE ULTIMATE LOVE by Sherine Anniruth is the second book based on the author’s own experience and grieving after the loss of Nadeem to cancer. Anniruth provides a guide for those mourning or knows someone who is mourning. The author shares with the reader the steps one undergoes while trying to go on with their lives after losing a child and what has worked for her and believes would work for others as well. At the end of the book, she included a letter addressed to her son, one that portrays her feelings to the fullest.

With watery eyes while and after finishing this read, I can say that even though death is something that everyone will experience at some point or the other in life, we seem not to be ready to receive it or to see it in front of our eyes. Author Anniruth has helped me see the vanishing of life on earth from another perspective and has given me tools to take on what life provides.

I honestly admire the author since not all those who have lost someone have the ability to open up to strangers and expose their deepest emotions. Parents are never ready to bury their children and when they do so, they seem to feel lost and without hope, but Anniruth has been able to heal and open her heart entirely. As she herself mentions in the book “healing can eventually occur if you let it”.

Sherine Anniruth created a thrilling story. I really liked it! You keep connecting with all the characters which is not easy. It is very hard for an author to create empathy between the reader and the author, but you can expect it in The Ultimate Love.
I recommend The Ultimate Love as it is a great book for you to think about how we need to value every second that we have in the company of our loved ones. We never now when the last moment will be and this book made me cry really hard due to this sad reality. Anniruth made a wonderful job describing the several situations and how she felt going through all this pain. She also teaches us on how to cope with our grief and that we can’t let it change us, but only strengthen us. It is really moving and it definitely left me thinking about my experience with losing my grandfather.
You can expect a roller coaster of emotions. You can expect so many great moments that I had to take a break from reading. Be ready to find many turns in this great novel.

There are not many books that can touch your heart and fill it with emotions after reading. For me, pain is the greatest emotion one can ever felt. Because pain can either lead you to wisdom or destruction. After reading this book, I felt that wisdom. The pure emotions of a grieving mother are flowing through words on every page.

Grief is a very hard emotion to manage. There is almost no single solution to escape from it. But it is also a learning opportunity. It is an opportunity to analyze and understand the root cause of grief. It is a path to our own redemption. Going through this path is very hard, but in the end, one will learn to live with our grief. We will learn to love more than ever in the end.

The author has gone through the bitterest days of her life because of the demise of her beloved son. This is a heartfelt essay on how she has managed to control the pain and overcame struggles eventually. I appreciate the author’s effort to pen down a harsh journey in order to help others who are going through the same situation.
