A wounded Special Ops bear shifter.
A fiercely independent she-panther.
And the secret she carried for months...
His baby.

Family is everything, and that's why I'd promised my struggling mother I'll always provide for her.
And after my medical discharge from the Army, I knew I could continue to make good on my word by enlisting in the Special Ops Shifter Force.
But what I didn't know? By joining, I'd be coming face to face with Emersyn again.
The woman my bear couldn't ignore.
The pantheress my soul couldn't resist.
One glimpse of those enticing feline eyes of hers brought me right back to the fiery nights we shared in the barracks.
And my bear raged with the desire to claim his mate all over again.
The way things ended, I never thought I'd see her again.
But here we are, partnered up on a risky mission to ease tensions between the shifter gangs of L.A.
Too bad I can't seem to ease tensions between us.
Just when I think things are complicated enough, she drops the mother of all bombshells on me.
You see, all this time, I'd been focused on supporting my family.
But little did I know, I'd started a new one with Emersyn.
Lucas is just about a year old now, and the moment I held him, I knew I'd never let him go.
No matter what dangers lie ahead on this mission, I'll stop at nothing to protect what's mine.
And win back Emersyn's heart forever.

Steamy shifter love scenes and an HEA inside! No cheating or cliffhanger in this standalone story. Readers 18+.

Secret Baby For The Soldier Bear (Special Ops Shifters: L.A. Force #1) Reviews

Secret Baby for the Soldier Bear was one of those stories I read simply because I wanted something quick and easy. While it certainly fit the quick and easy criteria, it failed to wow me in the way it could have.

I spent the first half of the story feeling like it was dumping details without allowing me to feel a connection. It felt like an interesting idea without substance, which prevented me from feeling any real investment in it. In the second half, the substance appeared. Unfortunately, everything was over and done with far too quickly. There was not enough depth to any of the details, and it made the story extremely forgettable.

Clearly many have loved this one, sadly, however, it was not for me.

A short sweet story of love lost and found. Gabe has been medically discharged from the force. He’s not sure what to do, but his friend fifers him a job. Emersyn Works in a clinic and is offered a job too. They have not seen each other for over a year and she never told him about the baby. What will he do? Can they work these missions together? Can she forgive him? So many questions? So much hurt?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nope. Not for me. Didn’t feel any spark or interest. Kind of dull. Had to force myself to finish.

    Fast Paced Shifters

I really like fated mates, and I really like when shifter books have a lot of different types of shifters in them. I thought this book had a lot of promise, but I think maybe the book was paced too quickly so I didn’t have a chance to be really emotionally invested in the characters.
As a character I liked Emersyn a lot. She’s a strong woman who is very smart and caring. She’s clearly a great doctor and a good mother. I like that she is able to stand up for herself, especially when Gabe comes back into her life. I like that she is level headed even in the heat of the moment.
Gabe was kind of more annoying to me, because he kind of came of as unstable. He would get irrationally upset when it came to Emersyn and it’s just annoying. I did like how he was with his son though, that was really nice. And I also like that he was a really good son and brother.
I did think that the suspense storyline should have been a little bit more fleshed out because it had the seeds of being really interesting.

Well written, but there wasn't much at all about a romance. It was more about the mission. It also didn't make sense why she went on the mission due to the fact they hired her only as a doctor. They said it was because she used to have a telepathic bond with Gabe, but they all had electronic comms, so there was no reason for her to be there. She only made things go wrong for the mission and after the first time it happened, she shouldn't have been able to go with Gabe again. I won't be reading this book a second time and I don't think I will read the author again as there wasn't anything really about the romance other than them having sex. Then it was them fighting and then them agreeing to try be mates. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Recently discharged from the army, bear Gabe Vinson’s excited to be recruited by Shifters Ops Special Forces LA but he’s shocked that is ex, panther Dr. Emersyn Cruz was also recruited. Gabe’s speechless when Emersyn blurts they have an infant son, Father and son have an instant connection but Emersyn’s certain Gabe will leave again.

Since Gabe and Emersyn already shared a link, they partner on the first meeting for their mission to attempt brokering peace between the out of control gangs terrorizing an area where no conclave claim responsibility for them and their absolute lack of desire to have SOS on their turf.

I like shifter novels. I love a military alpha. I adore secret baby novels. But I didn’t like this even a little bit šŸ˜ž I couldn’t relate to the characters at all, Emersyn’s hot/cold act got old real quick and Gabe…. There were a lot of things he said that pissed me off. Add to that the fact that their issues seemed to magically disappear, and the plot with the gangs equally disappeared or was wrapped up fast… It left me wanting.
I think I’m just not the target audience for this particular one, but others may like it.

This is a well-written story of love and then found again. Gabe is hired by the SOS force to expand their operations to Los Angeles. Emersyn runs the local free clinic and is recruited to the Los Angeles office. Gabe and Emersyn have a previous history together. They work their way through this history amidst a backdrop of fixing a gang problem. The plot is an interesting take on finding a lost love and the gang problem. How does it do this? You must read it to find out.

    Amazing 2nd chance for shifters

Emersyn is a panther shifter, a ex military doctor, and a mother of a half panther/unknown shifter baby named Lucus. She never had a chance to tell Lucas's father about him. When a Delta Force was started up in LA, Gabe was one of the member to be contacted. He was surprised to be told he had a son. Is the killer after her to keep from exposing who hired him?

The characters on unique, relatable, and caring in the way understanding what is needed to protect someone. The fast paced plot has a few twist to keep the reader engaged. I like the fact that the main characters are attracted to each other while trying to prove that sometimes we all need a second chance. Highly recommended.

Gabe is a bear shifter. His mother thought him that you never leave family.
Emerson has been raising her son on her own.
I enjoyed the book and it seems like it's going to be a great series. Liked how it how the book included in detail more and how the LA chapter became a unit.

A new group of Special Ops Shifters is starting in LA! There is plenty of action and intrigue, mixed in with the drama of the two who were mates. They had not seen each other in almost two years, and some surprises, to put it lightly, were about to be revealed! Good times ahead! LOL

Loved the tension between Gabe (bear) and Emersyn (panther). They met in the military. He left to go to Delta Force and unknowingly left her pregnant. When they met up a year later he finds out about the baby. Will Lucas be bear or panther? There is a lot of tension between them causing problems on the mission.

    Long Time No See!

This was an interesting story because it picked up from a past relationship that happened a few years ago. Not expecting to see each other & learning of new issues that had popped up, it sort of opened up a can of worms with the lead character's causing a host of misunderstandings.

    A terrific story

I have really enjoyed the other Special Ops Shifters series', and I knew that this one wouldn't disappoint either. I would highly suggest that you read the other two series prior to this one. It's not necessary, but you will have a better understanding of the characters and the aspects between the groups.
I would recommend this book, series, and author.

Secret Baby For the Soldier Bear

Exciting first book in this series which is intertwined with the other Spec Ops teams. What happens when two past lovers join the same Spec Ops teams in L.A. and one has a baby with her that he never knew about. Tension and old feelings get in the way. A really great story.

Secret Baby For The Soldier Bear

Emersyn was raising Lucas on her own. Never having told the father. Gabe was surprised to see Emersyn again. He had never forgotten about her. Now to find out he has a son. Definitely changes things.
Great book. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

    Cute book

Not a lot of drama but a pretty good romance of the paranormal kind. Girl meets guy, romance ensues . Guy leaves, girl is pregnant, doesn’t tell the guy until they meet sometime later. Misunderstanding, makeup and HEA ending. Quick reading for a lazy day. Happy reading. N
