Saw this when walking the shelves of the barracks library....it comprises about 18 months to 2 year's of the author's service with Gen Patton whilst 1 armored corps was training in the California desert prior to it's first campaign in N Africa.
The amazing value in this book is it's compilation of Patton's thoughts , speeches , sayings , bon mots, both in a more official setting of the addressing the troops as well as privately in his tent or over meals.
Patton's thoughts on leadership, living a moral life, death, caring for the troops, and getting things done has applicability everywhere...the military, civilian life, family and personal life.
It's only 250 pages without any boring bits...your time will be richly rewarded.
