With great thanks to contributing authors, artists, and designers,
STORGY Books is proud to present You Are Not Alone; An Anthology of Hope and Isolation.

Working in close partnership with UK charities The Big Issue Foundation (registered charity number 1049077), Centrepoint (292411), Shelter (263710), and The Bristol Methodist Centre (1150295), STORGY Books is publishing an exclusive anthology to help raise funds and provide support for people affected by homelessness following the devastating outbreak of Coronavirus. For far too long the most vulnerable within our communities have suffered in isolation, abandoned and ignored, voiceless.
But we hear our hurting kin; and this is our reply…
You Are Not Alone.

All proceeds from purchases of You Are Not Alone will be equally distributed between our partner charities to provide ongoing support for people experiencing homelessness during – and after – the Covid-19 crisis.

You Are Not Alone is dedicated to lost loved ones.
You will never be forgotten.

Well I have a story in here, let that be known. But the collection as a whole is stunning, hugely successful writers grace the pages with emerging writers in a collection that is grounded in hope and isolation - every story hits its mark, whether science fiction, literary, horror or the grey spaces between all of these genres - it’s a stunning book from STORGY with all proceeds going to charities working with those affected by homelessness (The Big Issue Foundation, Shelter, Centrepoint and the Bristol Methodist Centre).

There are 44 stories in the collection and some of my favourite are Benjamin Myers, Rick White, Anthony Self, Rachael Smart, Gemma Amor - the list is endless and with so many genres and writing styles - you’ll too find some favourites in here!

Buy the collection, enjoy the stories and at the same time you will be supporting organisations that are looking after the most vulnerable in our communities during and after this Covid 19 crazy that is touching all lives!

Full disclosure, I am a contributing author. I got my hard copy recently, and I burned through it. This anthology is amazing because the proceeds are going to support the homeless in England during these difficult pandemic times. That right there deserves ten stars, easily.

However, the stories are amazing! I loved all of them for various reasons, mostly because they left me with a glimmer of hope. I have to give props to my boy Adrian J. Walker, one of my favorite dystopian writers with his contribution “Islands,” which, as ever, left me with my mouth hanging open and crying for more; that piece challenges the reader to hang on faith. “If This Is How the World Ends” by Hannah Persaud (an excerpt from The Sourdough Diaries) was a lovely companion piece to my “Pustules.” That flash excerpt is a diary entry detailing the narrator’s internal struggle with an alien invasion. It is written in a gorgeous stream of consciousness. Kathy Fish’s “The Blue of Milk” (coolest title ever) interwove beautifully crafted characters and situations in her flash fiction piece. There is something for everyone in this anthology.

The quality of the book design both in ebook and paperback were on par with any professional press. I loved the vibrancy of the cover and internal art. Well done. AND, if you buy the paperback, you get a 50% coupon for an upcoming anthology. For us Yanks, that will cover the shipping. Worth the coin.

All around five stars for this accomplished project! The anthology will comfort you during these tough times and maybe give you more hope in your fellow humans and the world.
