This book manages to be both really filthy and really wholesome and I love it. This would have been 5 stars but I am mad it ended on an emotional cliffhanger.
-
Wow, I genuinely adored this volume and I must have more right now!!
4.5 stars
3 on the spice scale
CW: assault -
The Titan's Bride Vol. 2 picks up where vol 1 left off. Kouichi and Caius are searching for a Raisa fruit, the cure to Kouichi's poison.
Kouichi's and Caius' relationship development while on this adventure was everything. Their love deepened, and in Kouichi's case he finally admits to his feelings.
The plot was also well done. It's not all about the spice. We get more insight to this world, the way it and the different races work and interact with each other.
We also get some nice side character development. Malthu's and Baro's bickering was so funny!
I'm glad I already have volume 3 on hand because that cliffhanger has me desperate to know what happens next!! -
Same as before. I wouldn't exactly call this revolutionary but it's more compelling and well illustrated than the average yaoi comic?
-
Oooh, Scary/Protective Caius'll make ya pussy throb.
I swear I did not think I had a size kink before reading this series but suddenly I find myself...👁️🫦👁️ -
Respectfully. What the fuck is this

3.25/5stars
this cover is fuckin CRAZY but this story is still very entertaining, though this volume was a bit less interesting than the last -
The drama is just peak
-
I’m invested…in the plot…
-
this is so bad never read it omfg
-
They keep on hinting at some impending m-preg but also neither of these dudes has worked up the nerve to finish inside the other so like...
-
Why that ending? Why?
-
2,5 estrellas.
More wonderfully explicit content after the intense journey for the Risa fruit. It will be interesting to see how things end in the next volume. What is this secret the titans are keeping from Kouichi.
-
This series is like a train wreck that I can’t look away from

I’m LOVING this series. Caius and Kouichi are just too dang cute! They have one of the cutest little romances as they fall for each other. Yea, there’s a ton of smut, but it’s soooo good!
We also have some funny side characters, like Baro. He cracks me up! He’s so innocently trouble, and I like how he’s welcomed into Caius’ kingdom. EVERYONE loved their Prince and his soon to be bride. It’s quite adorable.
The smut is hot af. That size difference is to die for!
At the end though I’m so sad!!! I know why Kouichi is making his choice but poor Caius!! I really hope everything works out because I have come to really like this odd couple and their little romance!

While the cover is pretty self-explanatory for what awaited me inside this manga, I'm also coming to really enjoy the storyline. In this one, we find the MC starting to come to terms with his circumstances and the importance of whatever choice he makes.
I am also intrigued by the secret everyone is seemingly keeping from him.
And yes, this manga is very, erm, sexual, but there IS a storyline in there and it is, at times, quite heartfelt. I also like the fact that the MC has a big heart and his past trauma isn't something he just magically forgot when faced when um, certain large anatomies.
Will read the next volume!
Happy reading! -
No judging. I've been reading nothing but stuff for my BA, I deserve this and I refuse to not put this on my goodreads. But goddamn I love this series
Caius and Koichi are just so damn sweet together and love each other so much it makes me weep. Is it porn? Yes. Is it adorable? Yes and I love it. I really liked getting more insight into other regions of the world and seeing other species than the titans. It's got way more world building than I expected from the cover and I ended up enjoying it quite a lot. The first scene was a bit uncomfortable but honestly I don't think I've ever read BL that doesn't have at least one uncomfortable scene. -
4.5

I need the next volume 😭😭😭
-
This series continues to somehow be so incredibly explicit but also so incredibly sweet, kind, and lovely. All the steam evolves out of understandable passion and celebration, not just thrown in for steam sake.
All in all, I enjoy my time with these *very active* characters and the world they're building.
Plus, mystery cliffhanger...? You'll see me in volume three ASAP. -
I'm saying this as someone who grew up on 2000s/10s Yaoi scanlations: this needed a trigger warning for explicit SA across multiple pages.
-
3.5
Story continues to be unhinged but beneath it all there are some good parts like whether to leave your life for the person you love etc. -
Reading this series makes me feel like I’m going straight to hell 😂 I’m gonna keep reading tho 🙊
The most foul thing about this volume is that Kouichi gets r*ped, and we’re just supposed to move on. My guy even forgives his r*pist so easily 💀 My soul left my body. We did not need such an explicit scene of r*pe. Like, please. Some restraint.
Anyway. That aside. I’m glad we got to see Caius and Kouichi bond some more in this volume. Caius was really out here kicking ass for Kouichi 🙏🏼 Bless.
I’m glad too that we explored more of Kouichi’s past trauma which is part of what leads him to make the decision he does in the end. Poor guy really loved his mom 🥺
I do wonder though if the wolf guy is right and there’s more that Caius and the titans are hiding. After all, Caius did drop a massive bomb on Kouichi at the end of this volume 👀
So, I continue intrigued. And continue living for the absolutely obnoxious smut in this manga series 😂 I’m deceased! -
Spicy af! Very emotionally touching. I'm TORN about who's decision I hope comes true. 😭 all scenes are juicy af! Also glad there's more depth to Kouichi than just his hole lmao 😂

***If you are under the age of 18, do not read this manga and do not read this review. Thank you for complying.***
Caius and Kouichi share a really warm, deep love that burns hard, strong, and bright. They foster a healthy relationship too with proper give and take as well as pampering each other in their own individual ways and taking care of each other.
But Kouichi has finally had the calmness he needed to realize that not all is well, and he has a choice to make. His bonds and friendships in his home world, or a love like none he’s ever imagined, one he’ll be forever changed for.
Not only that, but Kouichi has an obligation weighing on him. He has aspirations in honor of his mother and those that cared for him. Not only that, but reality would be changed by Kouichi’s absence from his home world. I can understand how he can’t bear for his past to change unless it meant reviving his mother. Some bonds are so strong, sometimes it feels as though that bond itself is something you have remaining of another individual.
Regardless of the reality warping, as of right now, it doesn’t seem Kouichi sees a way to accomplish those tasks while remaining in Tildant and Caius sees that as well as how much it all means to Kouichi and how much he may be struggling right now. That being said, he’s doing his utmost to take care of Kouichi and enjoy their time together. The choice to stay or go home still relies entirely on Kouichi, Caius reminds him of that, assures him they’ll be alright to handle the consequences without him, and he’s free to do as he pleases. He only requests Kouichi never forget him. But it seems as though Caius and Balthu are hiding something significant from Kouichi, something Caius likely believes would either sway Kouichi’s decision into making one he may not truly want but rather feel obligated or guilted to, that or perhaps Caius believes it would weigh as a heavy burden on Kouichi and he’d be happier never knowing. Regardless, Caius did the right thing in telling Kouichi the full extent of the truth of reality in as far as how it relates to Kouichi… but I wonder if the truth he’s hiding really is too much for Kouichi to bear, or if he deserves to know? Somehow, I feel as though Kouichi’s absence from Eustil will come at a great cost to Caius and his people.
Apart from that, or rather, alongside it, I really love Caius and I love the relationship these two have. TMI but this entire volume feels like sensual love. I can sense it and feel it in every page. They’re healthy, supportive, understanding, and patient. They really enjoy each other and lift each other up. They’re a comfort and a motivator to one another. If it weren’t for the reality warping conundrum, I think that Kouichi could find a life here that his mother would have been proud to have worked so hard to give him, most especially so if she knew he were so safe and loved— something she can only give him in spirit and memories now.
Finally, the lore of Eustil, Tildant, Foval, and the entire world and its factions is very interesting to me. We learn the most about Tildant, the land of the Titans, and how all races and kingdoms, not just Tildant, are connected to their gods and derive power, strength, happiness, health, and many good things from living by their kind’s ideals. Alternatively, going against these ideals results in the people becoming weak and diseased.
Their kings hold various large amounts of their god’s power which they then disperse to their people. Caius happens to hold an unusually large amount of power compared to most kings, not only that but he feels and lives by Titan ideals very steadfastly, living for love and connections and not betraying his feelings unless it’s for the benefit of another. Although, he seems to feel things on an even deeper level than the majority of his kind. He has an unmatched depth, which I immensely admire in him. For his strong ideals which both coincide with and benefit his people as well as strengthen the entire Titan race, he is well loved by his people.
The worldbuilding is both vast and intricate, immersing the reader in an experience akin to an RPG or an old classic like Spice and Wolf. The world and the lore has so much depth and life that I feel a legitimate desire to explore it myself, to explore it alongside Kouichi. The art itself, too, is highly skillful, dynamic, adventurous, and beautiful. I enjoy turning every page, if not regret turning them for mourning I don’t get to continue to absorb the page I was just on. -
Things don't go as planned when Caius attempts to get the raisa fruit needed to cure Kouichi, but he manages to make everything work out anyway.
Now that he's no longer in danger of dying from magical lust, Kouichi can't help but think about the people he left behind in his own world. He's sure they're worried sick about him - can he really leave them behind forever?
All right, so this volume starts off with a wolf-like beastman thinking Kouichi is in heat and trying to, ah, help him out with that. Not my cup of tea, even if Baru, the beastman in question, truly thought he was doing something necessary. Thankfully, the volume's other sex scenes are fully consensual.
In this more emotional series entry, Kouichi worries about best friend and his uncle and freaks out when he learns that, if he opts to stay with Caius, the magic that brought him to this world will write him out of his own world. It's a decent enough attempt at convincing readers that Kouichi might change his mind about staying with Caius (although Kouichi was apparently only close to three people, one of whom is dead, so it also isn't hard to imagine him changing his mind back).
As much as the cover image makes me wince, I have to admit I still like this series. The artwork is decent, and Caius is devoted and sweet. Well, I guess the cover art at least makes it clear that the "explicit content" warning on the back is there for a reason.
Extras:
A bonus chapter, and a couple additional comedy-focused pages.

A Library Girl's Familiar Diversions.) -
An enjoyable continuation from volume 1, though volume 2 is largely infodumpy. If you really want some well-drawn fantasy m/m porn with size difference and furries, this is probably for you. It's still not my favorite isekai, but it's enjoyable for what it is. Also, the Seven Seas version is apparently uncensored, unlike the other English publications of the series, so I'd suggest that one. The volumes themselves are large, and the covers are very nice.
I still like the cast by and large: Kouichi and Caius are fun, and Baro is interesting. The writing at times is still a bit iffy, with a focus on getting the characters to the sex scenes more than having any real flow, so you're left with a story that's mostly quick, tropey cuts between make-outs. It's still mostly porn, so that makes sense, though again, there is also just better written m/m porn out there. It's very cliche, and that's not necessarily a bad thing, particularly if all you want is the porn. It does leave some of the side-characters very one-off and uninteresting.
It still makes me think of m/m Foreigner by C.J. Cherryh fanfiction, which isn't bad or anything, it's just kind of funny. If you know that series at all and wanted m/m of that, this still might be for you?
If you're looking for better boy's love isekai, I'd recommend The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It's quite good (and far better written). It handles a lot of the same tropes, and Seven Seas also published all four volumes of it in English (and as an ebook). -
This was WAY better than the first volume! I love the development of the Plot and Characters! The way Baro looked at Caius and Kouichi when Caisus gave Kouichi the Raisa fruit was beautiful cause he realized the love between them was so strong! I feel I like the way the story is going now! In the first volume the plot development was a huge problem, it seemed it was all sex with nothing to explain the direction the story is going. This is a 5 ⭐️ read for sure cause it had the development I was looking for! It was sad that it didn’t happen until volume 2! I also thought the ending chapter was really sad and made me cry! When they were watching the sunrise because Caius knew Kouichi was conflicted about what he would choose but deep down he knows he will want to go back to his world! That is when I started crying! Such a very beautiful moment! Actually a beautiful volume in general to a Series I hope gets even more lovely as it goes on.
