"Everyone deserves a chance to be rescued."

That's the mantra I'm repeating when a well-equipped biker pulls over to save me. One glance at the scowl Crawford Doxe is wearing proves he isn't impressed with the task. My efforts to change his mind deflate faster than the shredded tire at our feet. But disgruntled or not, my so-called hero still agrees to fix my flat.

I don't expect to see Crawford again, but he's suddenly very visible in our small town. Avoiding him would be my preference. That's not how this story goes. For whatever reason, my daughter finds an ally in the broody mechanic. Denying her is something I do my best to avoid. I can only hope Crawford's shine wears off before he tarnishes what little trust still exists.

As if the odds are ever on my side.

Commitments are a foreign concept to him. He doesn't make any promises to try. That should've been enough for me to steer clear. It most certainly isn't.

What follows can only be described as a disastrous clash of epic proportions.

But one indisputable fact remains. That lone soul has no plans of opening his heart.

An enemies-to-lovers, small town romance that will give you all the butterflies and a whole lot of love! The author delivers another feel good romance in our favorite little town of Silo Springs.

He’s the town’s elusive bike mechanic who enjoys his solitude and she’s a sexy single mom doing what she can to make the best life for her daughter. One flat tire sets them on a whole different trajectory. He never expected to lose his heart to a quiet little girl and her sassy mom.

Keegan is a strong, independent woman and a great mom. She does not need a man, especially not a broody bike mechanic that she can't seem to get out of her head. And since he has stolen her daughter's heart, avoiding him is more than difficult. She's had more than her share of jerks and she is not looking for anymore. She just wants to give her daughter the best life and to be happy.

Ford is used to being alone, but he never realized he was lonely until them. He knows he should stay away, but the pull between them is just too strong to avoid.

Keegan and Ford butt heads and sparks fly. It turns out to be just foreplay for some angry sex. When they finally get together, their union is sizzling HOT! They may not want to like each other, but they won't be able to stay away.

Both carry around baggage; Keegan from past relationships and Ford from a father that was just plain cruel. They'll have to work through their demons to get a HEA.

The author continues to bring us unforgettable romance and characters that we can't help but love. Millie provides the heart and brings out Ford's softer side. She's a quiet little girl that just needed a friend and she found a kindred spirit in Ford. Their relationship is sweet and add in some adorable mutts and you have yourself the perfect small town romance that brings all the feels. Their fall was a journey and their sexy times were smokin' hot. I need me a FORD!

I am already a fan of Harloe Rae’s books, and this one is certainly no exception. I loved Ford (Crawford,) Keegan and Millie. Ford comes across as a rude, sometimes obnoxious, mysterious and misunderstood loner, who after meeting a woman and her daughter on the side of the road, decides that maybe he doesn’t want to spend all of his time alone anymore. Keegan is a strong, independent single mum, who only wants what is best for her daughter, no matter the cost to herself. The chemistry between Ford & Keegan was instant and apparent from the moment they met. The banter between them was hilarious. The friendship between Ford & Millie was so special and sweet. This book had me laughing one minute and crying the next. I highly recommend this as a must read.

Wow! I am truly in love with this enemies to lovers, small town romance!

Crawford and Keegan’s story was amazing, add in little sweet and sassy Millie and it is off the charts perfection!!

I laughed and I have cried but one thing is certain, this is my favorite book by Harloe!!

If you want an intense story with a maddening man, a single mom, and a sweet little girl, this is for you!!
This books checks off so many amazing reasons why you need to pick it up ASAP and devour it!

Harloe Rae is a master at writing small town romances that tug at every single one of your heart strings. EVERY SINGLE HEART STRING! I could not put this book down! Loner has taken Keeper’s place as my favorite Harloe Rae story to date (and I did not think that was possible!). I applaud Harloe Rae’s ability to write such amazing stories about loss, heartbreak, forgiveness, understanding, love, and happiness. She is a master at angsty and emotional romances that rip your heart out one minute and then piece it back together the next. I could not get enough of this enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance. I did not want Loner to end and would be more than happy to have about fifteen more epilogues of Keegan and Crawford.

Crawford takes broody, bad boy loner to an entirely new level in Loner and let me tell you, I AM HERE FOR IT! I am obsessed with Crawford (I know he goes by Ford, but I’m really obsessed and in love with his full name). His character is everything. He struggles to make connections with people and prefers to be alone. He can be moody, closed off, and downright cold at times, but that’s because he’s built walls around his heart so that no one (minus his mother and brother) truly knows who the real Crawford is. He’s been hurt and talked down to more times than he can count, so he makes himself unapproachable to protect himself. My heart hurt for him. His character is so relatable though. It’s so very easy to get lost in your own head and to prefer your own company over others’. He just hadn’t found the right person to share every single part of himself with. He needed someone to accept the good, the bad, and everything in-between. This moody mechanic needed someone to see and accept the real him. And I have to tell you the real Crawford is pretty damn awesome. I fell in love with his character, faults and all. Once this man opens up, phew, watch out ladies! I thought I lusted hard after Decker. I’m lusting even harder after Crawford. This man is all sorts of swoon worthy hotness. Whew! I may also have a major thing for mechanics now because of this book!

Keegan is an amazing character. She became a single mom at the age of nineteen and has done a kickass job. She has always tried to put her daughter Millie first and do what’s best for them. She loves her daughter with all her heart and it really shows during their interactions. I love this mother and daughter duo! Keegan has had her heart broken one too many times. She tends to be more cautious when it comes to her heart and I do not blame her. She has not only her own heart to think about, but her daughter’s as well. Keegan is fierce, passionate, sassy, funny, smart, and a fighter. She has been through so much in her life and instead of letting it knock her down, she uses those heartaches to help become a stronger and more fierce person. She builds armor around her heart to protect herself. It’s going to take a lot to break through that armor (ahem, Crawford). I admire her character so much. I could not imagine becoming a mother at such a young age and having no one to rely on, but yourself. I could not image going through all of those trials and heartaches on my own. She’s such a strong female lead character and an amazing role model to her daughter.

Millie! I absolutely love Millie so stinking much! This little girl is absolutely adorable. She owns my heart completely. She reminds me a little of myself when I was younger. Like Millie, I definitely didn’t like to talk to people I wasn’t comfortable around and was extremely shy. When she’s around people she’s comfortable with though, she’s sassy, spunky, and all sorts of confident. She comes out of her shell more during the course of the story and I love every second of it! She’s still shy around people she doesn’t know, but she’s making amazing progress! This little girl is the absolute best and you will fall in love with her.

Keegan and Crawford together are FIRE! HOLY MOLY! These two could set an entire forest on fire with their chemistry. I’m still fanning myself from their interactions. Their banter is on point and epically hilarious. All of the hidden innuendos in their conversation were the absolute best. I about died from laughing! I love these two together so much. They are honestly perfect for one another. They definitely didn’t start off on the right foot, but over time they developed an amazing friendship that turned into heart stopping love. Keegan and Crawford are really good for one another. They push each other to be better, as well as pushing each other’s boundaries. I love that Keegan brought out a protective and sweeter side of Crawford. He didn’t let many people see beyond his walls, but he let Keegan in. Keegan let Crawford in as well. She let him see her heartache, pain, and fears. And he did the same with her. These two own my heart and I mean they OWN MY HEART COMPLETELY! I was rooting for these two the entire story. There were definitely some bumps along the way, but these two eventually figured it out. I enjoyed everything second of their journey together.

Crawford and Millie have the cutest freaking relationship! I love the connection between them. Crawford gets why Millie doesn’t like to talk to a lot of people and why it’s hard for her. He is the same exact way. It’s hard to open yourself up to other people, especially if they are cruel right off the bat. These two are kindred spirits. They have such a sweet and heartwarming friendship. It makes me feel all sorts of warm, mushy, and fuzzy feelings. I love their relationship as much as love Keegan and Crawford’s relationship (for totally different reasons obviously lol). These two just make my heart so happy.

Overall, I give this story a 5/5! Harloe Rae has outdone herself with Loner! I loved every second of this story and I truly did not want it to end. I need more of Crawford, Keegan, and Millie. These three are the absolute best and they own every single part of my heart with their adorableness. I cannot wait to see where Harloe takes us next! I’m hoping it’s a certain best friend of Keegan and brother of Crawford. There’s definitely an untold story there that I need to know about!

First off if you haven't read the other Silo Springs books you are missing out! I am not even sure where to start this review. I loved this book! Ford is a broody motorcycle mechanic with an verbally abusive father. He likes his solitude and doesn't want anyone around to mess with his quiet.
Keegan is a single mom to Millie. After spending the last year in a relationship that was lacking, Keegan decides to start over and takes Millie to Silo Springs to be close to her college best friend. Keegan and Ford have a couple run-ins where Ford and Millie end up forming a bond. Millie is a very shy and quiet child that gets a lot of unwanted attention because she doesn't talk to people. She and Ford get each other. Keegan is very surprised her daughter has taken a liking to the big broody biker. She is not looking to trust again any time soon, and Ford has so many family issues he is holding on to, can they get over their damaged pasts to make a better future? Amazing chemistry between Keegan and Ford. Ford is just *Swoon!*. Ford and Keegan are now my favorite Silo Springs couple. (Sorry Grady and Sutton!). Harloe Rae did an amazing job on the story! Definitely recommend!

I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gaaaa y’all where do I even begin?!
I don’t know that I’m ready to write this review. Hang on let’s clear up the water works. Okay ready in 5 4 3 2 1......
You guys I’ve swooned but ughhh these characters absolutely wrecked me (in the best of ways)!! Harloe is hands down one of my absolute favorite authors and yet again she did not disappoint! Every single one of her books is sure to suck you in and have you flipping through the pages faster than you thought possible! Hands down another 5 ⭐️ book by Harloe!! I won’t post any spoilers because I want you to be able to enjoy every single word you’ll take in! Just be ready to swoon so hard, laugh out loud and shed some tears! One helluva HEA you’re sure to fall in love with Ford Kee and Millie I promise!

  • Ericka Gutierrez

I haven't read a lot of single mom books, I think they get over shadowed by the hot single dad. But it's so much HOTTER when a man can step up and be there and love not only the woman, but her kid too.
With that being said, Crawford "Ford" Doxe is that man. He's a sexy biker mechanic who is also a loner. And boy can he be so sweet. He brings a little girl out of her shell and breaks down a stubborn women's walls.
Keegan put those walls up after being hurt one to many times and now just wants what's best for her daughter, Millie.
The chemistry between Ford and Keegan is off the charts HOT! And the way Ford is with Millie will just melt your heart and have your ovaries explode, he's just so good with her.
Gah, I absolutely loved this book! Well done on another 5 star read, Harloe Rae!!

    ( arc review)

Dnf at 31%, i like the starting but the heroine was annoying, as i kept reading i got more frustrated with her. She is a single mom who is not good with relationships, and is not looking for commitment. I get that she has a hard life but she kept fighting with the hero, she cant even talk without being rude and when she is nice, the hero is mean. Ugh, they both annoyed me so much.

  • Queen B

Loner features one of my favorite things: a broody and grumpy hero. Meet Ford, aka Crawford: a grumpy introvert that has avoided relationships (of any kind) due to his past. He meets Keegan and her shy young daughter Millie on the side of the road when they are stuck with a flat tire.

Needless to say, the initial meeting between the two didn’t go well. So it’s a surprise to Ford when he finds Millie lost in the woods not too long later and they bond immediately. The relationship between Ford and Millie is sweet and one of the best things about Loner. There’s just something so sweet about a broody man hiding his marshmallow insides.

Not that the connection between Keegan and Ford is any less amazing. They were drawn to each other, even when they were “enemies.” Such an emotional connection between the two that couldn’t be denied. Even the angst couldn’t stop the draw between them.

Another great read by Harloe Rae. She’s been added to my auto-buy list.

  • Jessica

    Oh my goodness!!!
    I am in L O V E with Ford!!! Crawford. *Insert Swoon*
He makes an awesome book boyfriend to add to my collection! He’s the mysterious/deeply understood possible bad boy in this world.
Ford meets Keegan when she is on the side of the road with a flat tire. He’s her knight in white. Boom! Instant attraction. Then her sweet daughter gets lost and he finds her. What’s not to like about Ford? Well, he is kinda rude at times.
Keegan is a single mother who is trying to make the right decisions for her and her daughter. Is Ford the right decision for them??? Hmmm... her daughter sure seems to like him....

No worries, this one does have a HEA!
I highly suggest you read this one. I sure loved it!

  • Jaimie

This book was amazing! I loved every bit of this story and the chemistry of the characters is off the charts!! Crawford is so swoon worthy and Keegan is a strong woman. Millie is the sweetest character I have encountered in a book. I can relate to the story of being a loner since that's how I was through most of my teenage years. This book quickly became one of my favorite reads. The cameos in this book is a wonderful surprise as well.
I highly recommended this book to everyone!

  • Stital

Ok, so here's the deal. I can't really explain why but this book is magical.

It's sweet and sassy and down to earth.
The story isn't epic but real, relatable and utterly charming.
I'm not a kid person but I fell head over heels for Mills.
I just couldn't fight the smile plastered on my face while reading.

This is my new favorite Harloe Rae book and any of her fans are going to fall in love with it.

    5 stars and healing hug

  • Syndi

Miss Rae has a good writing to build the suspense/ climax of the plot. She builds it with hours upon hours of anticipation. However the plot/ climax resolves too quickly. Without any drama/ complexion.

In Loner, the characters stay well... alone. Their chemistry is off and feel forced. I want more drama between them. More angst.

This is 10 hours lenght of audiobook. I am relieved it is finally over.

    4.5 Stars

First off, I'm legit in love with the cover😍 then throw a single mom trope in, one of my all-time favorite tropes, I'm definitely already on board.
I'm a huge Harloe Rae fan, so I may be totally biased, but I feel like Harloe can do no wrong in a book. Her hero's are always swoon-worthy, her heroine's always strong, and the romance is always worth rooting for, and this book is exactly that.

I loved the hero. He is so much like Grady, who is one of my favorite heros of Harloe's, and then he is a mechanic like my other love, Trey. He wasn't a manwhore (bring on all the stars🙌), he had almost an innocent-like aura surrounding him, where he just wants to be wanted and loved, but he also doesn't like people, can he get more perfect?🤷 Why yes, yes he can. Him and Millie are adorable together, and I love how he genuinely liked to spend time with her. He is such a great guy. That is another thing I love about Harloe's writing, they're ALWAYS genuinely good guys. Yes, sometimes they can be jerks, but they always redeem themselves, they just need the love of their lives to help them bring their walls down.

Don't get me wrong I love toxic men in books as much as the next person😂 but there is something so refreshing about reading a hero that you can fully trust and depend on, now THAT is a real hero. And how he steps up to the plate for Millie, is the sweetest thing ever.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It's super cute light-hearted romance, with a side of sexy and fun. It's a great palette cleanser right now for me when all of the men in my book life are toxic af, and I needed a refresher that not all hero's are like that😂 now can we just please have Josey's story🙌

Safety: No OW/OM drama (the book can take my money for that reason alone 😂), completely safe.

Where do I even begin. Each chapter ,every word just kept me huddled over this book! I loved everything about this story. Keegan and Crawford were a beautiful disaster at first. A definite learning curve and breach of their comfort zones for both of them . I couldn't put Loner down. Millie has my heart. That little girl has fire in her spirit and a heart of gold ! Each beginning chapter note had me swooning, nervous, excited. This whole book just had me reeling with emotions . This author has such amazing talent and a wonderful creativeness with each book. Never let life break you and always look for a new tomorrow. I will be reading this story again and again. And when the audio comes out I'll be grabbing that too. Absolutely perfect!

OMG WHERE DO I START FROOOOOM
Let’s have a mini introduction of the characters shall we?

Keegan “Kee”- Single mother, who has gone through her own fair share of heartbreaks but is fiercely protective of her daughter. She is ONE FIESTY MAMA.
Amelia “Millie”- The secret diva child. The most precious and cutest thing ever. To the world Millie is a shy girl, she doesn’t really talk to anyone except for her mom and then Ford. Who is the only one who understands her loner tendency.
Crawford “Ford”- The loner, brooding awkwardly cute hot biker guy. Lmao that man was awkward af for me 😂 he really had no idea how to handle Keegan, he actually bonded quiet will with Millie but her mother was a question mark for him. But it was cute though I really enjoyed reading about his struggles 😂

So Keegan and Millie move to Silo Springs, for a fresh start. One day while driving in the highway Keegans car gets a flat tire. She is in the process of calling someone for help when she see’s a motorbike driving towards them. And it’s non other than Crawford.

One knight and shining encounter leads to another and Ford didn’t expect to lose himself to a quiet but secretly a little diva child and her sassy mother. The more they start to hang out together the more Ford realizes he needs to change himself and become more social.

Those two own my battered, black heart. Because of them, I had a future to strive for. More than that, I wanted to be ambitious and aim higher.

    description

Now Ford has his own demons to deal with, more specifically his CLASS A ASSHOLE FATHER.

Ruining any semblance of happiness you’re trying to achieve is always my goal, kid. Just returning the favor. Figured you’d know better by now.

    description

Anyway..... Kee has her own trust issues and she isn’t looking for a serious relationship. So Ford just has to convince her to give whatever connection they have a try.

Also can we just appreciate the fact the Ford isn’t a manwhore? Like no OW drama or any mention of any one night stands. He had expired condoms in his house..... so yeah.

The reason I didn’t give this book a full 5 star rating is because towards the end I wished Ford had to grovel a little bit more, especially with Millie, like he didn’t even try hard to get them back and Kee just forgave him too easily and I was like wait whaaaaat. Because throughout the book we get to see a fierce Kee who is completely over protective of her daughter. So she should have made Ford work for it a little bit before letting him back into their lives. Sooo yeah...

This had some of my favourite tropes - grumpy hero, small town, single mom, enemies to lovers - so naturally I had to pick it up.
I just want to start by saying I love Millie. She was such a cute kid.
Then I'm also in love with the cover.
I liked how their romance progressed. They had some real conversations. It made me believe that they are in love and belong together.
I also loved how our hero was affectionate towards not only Keegan but her daughter, Millie too. I felt Millie and Crawford's strong bond through the pages and it was awesome. She was basically responsible for her mom and Crawford getting together. I liked that she was a huge part of the book.
That proposal in the end was AMAZING.

Some things that I didn't love about this book is that it got a little predictable in the end. I kinda knew what what was gonna happen and then skimmed a little to the end.
Their banter at times felt forced. It was just one of those books that I'm not gonna think twice about after I've read it. I think I just didn't connect well with the main characters.

I'm still gonna check out other books by this author though. Maybe I'll like those better !

In spite of all that, this book served as a great distraction for me and it was a quick and light read. I do recommend reading this for some light-hearted fun and a mushy as hell HEA.

Oh my heart and all the feels. Harloe has written an incredible book that starts with so much tension and chemistry between Keegan and Ford and completely drew me in. This book definitely had me wondering what the final outcome would be and if they would be able to get this chemistry together. The changes in Ford were so heart warming and I absolutely swooned for him during the entire read.

My emotions were across the board during this read between laughing at the banter and tension, feeling the steam and then maybe a few tears shed along the way also. Fabulous read

Another amazing book by Harloe Rae.

Loner” is Harloe’s new book that will be released on
    June 11th.

This book sucks you in from the first page, and you won’t want to put it down.
Crawford Is a quite loner type. He likes to keep to himself. Ride his motorcycle , and work on them in his shop.
Keegan and her daughter Millie are starting a new life in a small town, Keegan is determined to be strong and independent and be the best mom she can be.
They both have a troubling past. That keeps them from finding love.
These two characters are just what each other needs. Trust, love and family and healing. It’s nice to see there friendship grow and become more. And little Millie who is 7, is so adorable.
Harloe takes us on an emotional ride with this story.
She did a great job with these characters and bringing them there HEA. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next :).

  • mila

to be completely honest I pushed it to the end because I knew about the cute epilogue, but this wasn't worth it.

Keegan is a single mom who has had bad luck in love and after one last bad relationship she decided to move to a small town to have a fresh start, and she's determined not to invite the wrong man into her and her little daughter Millie's life again. So we have Crawford, an isolated 26-year-old man who lives on the outskirts of town and who, after some bad experiences, decided he needs nothing more than his motorcycle shop and his dog. That is, until he sees this woman having trouble with her car and decides to stop helping her, like a knight in shining armor but with bad manners.

That was my main problem with this book. The main characters were SO ANNOYING. the first time they met Ford decided to be an idiot because apparently that's who he is, which ended with Keegan being rude too. But after this he couldn't stop thinking about her (obviously) and at the first opportunity he takes her aside and starts flirting like nothing happened, and what does Keegan do? fall at his feet. So they have sex, just a casual thing, but the next morning when Keegan is ready to move on Ford decides he's no longer a commitment phobic, they start a dumb fight, have sex again, keep fighting and saying crass things and then they part ways. But then Keegan's daughter, Millie, kinda forces their ways because she wants to keep Ford close so they decide to be "friends."

And all of this was so incredibly boring. The banter between this two was more like long, endless, meaningless conversations, full of innuendo in front of the little girl. And don't get me started on the sex talk... cringeworthy. Oh, and there's also Millie and the way she spoke to be six years old.

This is my first book by this author and I can say that I enjoyed less than a third of it, including the epilogue and the puppies. It's just that something was off with the writing that I didn't like, so I don't think I'm gonna read another of her works.

  • Patricia Rohrs (words we love by blog)

The fire between Keegan and Crawford is instant and all consuming! They don’t even know what to with their consuming need for each other and my gosh it leads to some heated moments!

What is evident from the start is that these two have an undeniable pull and the more the resist the stronger they feel! When they finally cave to desire it’s a beautiful mix of need, desire and it sets the pages on fire!

What really stood out to me was how strong and independent Kee was! She is such an amazing character but through that she didn’t ever make Crawford feel less than! She cherished him for who he is she just wanted him to see it too! For all his assholery Crawford has got to be the biggest softy and has the kindest heart! I loved each interaction with Millie! I couldn’t get enough!

  • J. Ockenhouse

Not too often do you find a story that you adore each character. Crawford aka Ford is definately swoon material - he loves animals, he's broody, not too hard and he is really good with shy children. Can I have one of him for my birthday??? 😍

Keegan is a single mom who just got out of a super bad relationship. Her and her daughter, Millie get stranded and come across our hero who doesn't want to be one and ends up saving the day more than once.

As these two try to fight the attraction because he's got a bitter taste from a bad past and Keegan is carrying some baggage as well. It's a great thing we got Millie because this little girl with a heart of gold, finds her voice and she's team Ford.

Now Millie steals the pages she's on. I love her and how she shows her mom that mistakes are okay but being alone is not. The push/pull between our leads had me hooked and unable to look away. The se* was incredible. The characters will wrap their charms around you. Harloe did everything flawlessly. No doubt that you are lured into their world but instead of candy, they offer to authentic and genuine characters who each find a way to grow with the help of the others. They grew together in mind, body and soul. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Okay, I actually quite enjoyed this one!

Harloe Rae’s a new author to me so I went in blind.

Crawford Doxe is my favourite type of hero. He’s a dark, handsome, brooding biker and a big softie on the inside. Keegan a feisty young mum and together they had some brilliant chemistry.

The story isn’t perfect, but it is fun and cute and a little bit sassy.

Kee and Ford are determined to ignore each other but their pull is unstoppable.

A perfect little pick me up if you’re after a fun distraction.

  • it.sgottabethebooks

Harloe Rae delivered such a sweet romance read. And she has managed to bring such happy and joyous tears to my eyes in the final pages. Keegan and Ford with the added bonus of Millie had me hook, line and sinker. The chemistry between Ford and Keegan is off the charts and Millie brings such a feel good factor to this romance.

Harloe Rae takes us back to the small town of Silo Springs in “Loner.” If you haven’t gotten a chance to get acquainted with the broody men of this thriving town, then this is your perfect time to get to know our lone knight. Crawford Doxe was happy living his life as a loner until he put his sight on the most beautiful set of green eyes that declared him a goner.

Keegan Daniels is ready to start fresh in the town of Silo Springs with her beautiful clever daughter Millie as they both embark in a new beginning. The last thing Keegan expected was to be rescued by a dark knight in a bike. Yet, Ford seems to be showing up in the most unexpected crucial times. When her 7 year old daughter befriends the reclusive town mechanic. Keegan decides it’s best to keep him at arm’s length. Especially, since this cold, detachable broody beast loves to stir the pot when she is near. However, after spending the best reckless night ‘8 inches deep’ (lip bite) getting to know each other. Maybe it’s time to take this new booming friendship to the next level...one that includes benefits.

I had the best time getting to know Keegan, Millie and Ford as they venture into the possibility of more. It wasn’t hard to fall for this strong-willed woman and her precious daughter as they both conquer the heart of this man who has pledged to spend life alone. Getting cameos from permanent residences in the mix was definitely another highlight of the stay.

This ‘enemies to lovers’ was another top read. Harloe Rae flawlessly keeps you rooted to the pages as you visit Silo Springs. This small town has become a favorite spot with all the lonesome men who have won me over with their carrying ways. Making roots in a small town guarantees you a for sure thing...they know the promise of forever.

**‘Loner’ is a stand-alone. If your heart is in need of a “Healing Hug” make sure you get to know Decker and Delaney in ‘Keeper’. As they both find “Wisdom of Worth” towards a HEA or Grady and Sutton and their “Happy Something” in ‘Breaker.’

***I received an ARC through Candi Kane PR for a honest review

Keegan is real generous with her man, "Keegan slaps my *** and I jolt, still buried inside of her. “I’ll give you ten minutes to recover.” I liked this book, I loved Crawford.

5 Star Swoon: Cinderella on a Motorcycle

I love when a writer goes against trope. And Harloe Rae has written a delightful reverse Cinderella with her reclusive hero Crawford. Loner delivers a moving swoonworthy romance of longing and flithy sweet caresses, wrapped in healing hugs. A little girl almost steals the show with her sweet nothings and the animals aren’t far behind, mugging for the camera, and gobbling up real estate in your heart.

Smoldering isolationist Crawford is clearly smitten with hot standoffish single mom Keegan, although the real candy apple of his eye is Millie. Their baggage is stacked skyhigh and these two seem to rather battle than bump uglies, but for one hot night, they lower the draw bridges enough to let each other in and sparks fly. Keegan is blunt about sex and lives a determined life centered around her daughter.

For a while, that one night and all the filthy hot memories are enough for Ford, but thank god he can’t get enough. With the help of the little spitfire Millie and a new puppy, Ford and Kee negotiate a platonic detente, where they can ogle each other among the safety of dogs and the flora and fauna. Their mutual reticence is sweet, when I wasn’t grinning from the dreamy descriptions, I was swooning at the great visuals Rae conjured. She is a great namer, from Silo Springs to Iron Throttle, to all the great characters and nicknames. Did I mention Crawford loves dessert? I mean, when a man compares you to cheesecake, he's a keeper, and his Loner days will soon be over. :)

The story remains light, dancing around a true push pull, instead letting the cute strawberry shortcake of insight a.k.a. Millie speak to the love blooming between her mom and Ford. Add in two dogs and… you know where this is headed. *Whispers* it’s a clever bit of writing to make the daughter Crawford’s real soulmate.

Crawford and Keegan have this incredible connection. My favorite part might be how they both spend a considerable about of time denying how they feel about each other when it’s clear they have sooo much in common, it’s like two sides to the same coin. You don’t read that very often, both even had horrible men in their pasts. And when Crawford’s dad gets in his son's head--welp, all bets were off. I ached for Crawford, this broken man who thought he deserved so little. Again, thank goodness for Kee and Millie and the love they sewed on all those dates. This was a tender pairing. “Fated by simultaneous climaxes and destined for a mutually satisfied forever.” Now that is Harloe Rae.

Forget about putting this book down, and you shouldn’t. Loner joins my all-time HR faves, along with Ask Me Why and Gent.
