There are many few books that can hold the attention of readers from the very first page. This book is such a book, I was so hooked from the very first chapter. The narration, the storyline everything was just amazing.

~The story revolves around Tilottama who wakes up in an unknown house, which looks nothing short of a palace, with no memory of how she ended up there. As she tries to reconnect the dots of her memory and her strange circumstance, she is sucked deeper and deeper into a mysterious puzzle and a man who holds the missing pieces of the puzzle, Samudra Chola.

I just loved everything about this book- the narration, the language, the thrilling mystery factor that kept me turning the pages. I loved how the author is able to captivate the readers from the very first page to last. The climax of the book is also good though was quite predictable.
Overall I think this is a brilliant book and would surely recommend it to all. -
A hot and frenzy romance that I can read several times. As unique as her tales are, that unique her writing is. Sophisticated, mature and simplistic.
The plot is unusual were in, Tilotamma has lost her memory and finds herself in a grand palace kind of place, which belongs to one Samudra Chola. Samudra Chola is not too keen on revealing what happened to her and keeps her as long as she doesn't recover her memory.
Thereafter, a passionate and unusual romance ensues. But, can Tilotamma trust the mysterious Samudra? Faced paced and easy to read. It's a mystery mixed with romance which ought to lighten up your mood. -

A Story Away is a dark romantic thriller which pushes it's dark theme to the limits.
The book has two main characters Tilottama and Samudra. Samudra appears to be this handsome, successful business tycoon but has a sinister way of getting a job done in his favour.Tilottama is an intelligent woman who is suffering from a memory loss with unanswered visions and she ends up at samudra's palatial house. Samudra helps her to gain her memories but not without thinking of his own gains.
The story has a good pace but I have to add it suffers from repetition, wait let me get dressed!.Those who have read the book will get the reference.Lets get back to the review, I would have rated the book less but the author has shown boldness which I think many indian authors shy away from,she takes the reader into the intimacy of the book's characters. Where other authors write of sexual intimacy with one word 'lovemaking' what? seriously but in A Story Away the scenes get quite steamy unfortunately that is all the book shines in. The story could have been edited better and a shorter timeline would have been perfect.Lots of inconsequential encounters which do nothing for the story.
A great story if you were writing for an episodic web series in my humble opinion.
The 'dark' theme gets dark and walks the edge on social ethics, it will make you uneasy and if as a reader I felt wrong I wonder how the female character who seems to be completely aloof of the fact that someone is sexually harassing her.
It does get cringy but okay it's a "dark" story I guess. -
My Take :
The story starts with a memory loss. Tilottama doesn't remember and is staying with Samudra about whom everything is mysterious. Unable to remember the past and dwindling between past and present in bits and pieces she faces the challenge of remembering how and why she reaches here.
Samundra is a mystery who is a good samatarian who has got her home and sheltered her. He also is the one who challenges her to remember what her past was and connect the dots. But is he really a good samatarian? Does he too have a turbulent past that connects with Tilottamas past and present? Is he the thread that would connect the puzzle? Read the book to find out.
The characters are built very strong.The plot is simple yet captivating. The suspense and mystery of the leads are maintained well till the end and justified. The narration is very simple yet catchy. Keeps you hooked till the end. Writing a story spiced with mystery and suspense seems to be the authors forte. She smiply aces it.

It’s been quiet long since I have read a dark romantic thriller. Which just isn’t dark romantic but a thriller with an extremely unique plot making me wonder, how amazingly author wrote this book.
So, the book name is A Story Away, as the name suggest, this is a story about a girl named Tilottama who have lost her memory and she wakes up in a strange house.
And the strange house belongs to the other main character of the story named Samudra Chola. What happens next?
How she lost her memory?
What is she doing in this strange house?
Did he knew her beforehand?
All the answers to these questions lays with in the book. Don’t miss it guys! It’s an amazing book!
What I like the most about the book is how simple yet provoking this book is, a unique plot with amazing character development. And the romantic conversation simply marvellous. The book is very fast paced. Full of twist and turns. Leaving you surprised at every end!

The plot seems a bit cliche like a Bollywood movie yet we there are many unique twists. The narration is brilliant and takes you up and down the rollercoaster. I personally liked the distinguished names given to the characters.

This is the story of Tilottama when she has no memories of the past and is found in an unknown house of Samudra Chola, she is set to discover how she landed there in the first place and how is she related to him.
The positives in the book are, the story for me did not have any downs, to be honest. It just goes with the flow. You are keen to know what happened and as expectedly you look forward to the romance between them. I also loved the epilogue of the book.
The negative of the book is, I did not feel that there are thriller aspects to the book as the title suggests.
Overall you won't get bored reading the book. -

I finished this book in a day. The story is narrated extremely well. The story is filled with twists and turns and the suspense remains till the last page . What I loved most was the chemistry between the two main characters. Highly recommended.
