An anthology of Canadian Literature In EnglishFourth Edition Reviews
-
should you write a review for a textbook? i don't really care. this was a very good textbook, definitely worth actually buying but my advice is to keep it away from your salad! i spilt salad dressing all over mine. saddest day of my life.

Class textbook: So I didn't actually read the whole entirety of the Anthology.
But this was actually a pretty good collection. Pretty good poems and short stories in here. My first introduction to Margaret Atwood was in this textbook.
In this edition I've read:
Introduction to Anthology (xv-xix)
Catharine Parr Traill: From The Backwoods of Canada (71-81)
Susanna Moodie: From Roughing It in the Bush (82-122)
Margaret Atwood: From The Journals of Susanna Moodie (680-684)
From E. Pauline Johnson (introduction 204-6):
“A Cry from an Indian Wife” (208)
“The Song My Paddle Sings” (206)
“Silhouette” (211)
“The Lost Island” (212)
From Duncan Campbell Scott (introduction 226):
“The Onondaga Madonna” (230)
Ethel Wilson's "The Window" (323-332)
Dorothy Livesay "Introduction" (395-987)
Dorothy Livesay's "Bartok and the Geranium" (404)
Alice Munro’s “The Progress of Love.” (570)
Joy Kagawa "Introduction" (622)
Joy Kagawa's "Obasan" (624-629)
Joy Kagawa's "Road Building By Pick Axe" (631-633)
