    Christmas Stalking by Margaret Daley

Ellie was hired to protect Winnie, only she didn't know Ellie was her bodyguard. She thought Ellie was just her new assistant. Doing the assistant job while protecting Winnie kept Ellie on her toes. An unexpected visit from Winnie's grandson, Colt, didn't help the situation.

I was glad when Winnie and Colt were told about the danger Winnie was in. Against Ellie's better judgement, she let Colt help protect Winnie.

Colt was kind, smart and handsome. He was very close to his grandmother since she raised him. Ellie didn't trust easily, especially men. She didn't do relationships and she threw herself into her job. It took her a long time to loosen up and give Colt a chance. Wonderful chemistry between them.

I liked this very suspenseful book. I sure didn't see the surprise at the end coming.

Off the Grid Christmas by Mary Ellen Porter

A riveting suspense and toe-curling romance. I never expected to laugh so much in the middle of all the danger and fearsome pursuits. Arden was the reason for my laughter - an intense, nerdy computer expert who spouts off inane facts when she's nervous. And Kane finds that he quite enjoys this chatterbox's rants. These two sizzle in every scene. I think my fingers are scorched! So I'm into the plot twists and turns and then - wham! - Silas and company show up and I'm suddenly anxious about the outcome.

Two very different Stories in one book, The first the heroine is a security guard for an older woman in CO and then a handsome grandson enters the picture and they make the perfect team.
The second story reminds me of some current events, which makes this even more exciting. I especially enjoyed her love of cat and Christmas.
The best part of each of these was that the male counterpart did not treat the woman as a child, but with respect. They had a respect for God. Nor did they wrestle with themselves through the whole book how they would never risk loving again. All of us have baggage, but these stories were more believable because they were hesitant but rolled with the punches. Both a bit verbose but hey, it was entertaining.
