Doctors Sam Browning and Isaac Singer opened the Cattle Valley Medical Clinic when they were both fresh out of medical school. It was the best thing they ever did, other than loving each other for more than twenty-five years. They’ve enjoyed a thriving practice and an even better sex life, but lately routine has started to set in.

With the growth of the town, the doctors decide it’s time for the clinic to hire a physical therapist. They thought hiring Matt Jeffries over the phone and offering him the use of their garage apartment was the smart thing to do. That is until Matt shows up, suitcases in hand. Three months after returning from the war in Iraq, Matt has bigger problems than his attraction to two gorgeous older men. Night sweats and flashbacks are keeping him locked in his own shell.

Can two doctors offer the physical therapist a little therapy of their own?

Okay...let me see...where do I begin with this one? First this was my least favorite so far. I just didn't feel the connection that I've felt with the others. I love a good ménage but I think part of the problem is that Sam and Isaac have been together for 20 years or so. It kind of makes it hard for me to believe that either or both would be willing to bring in a third so easily. Throw in Isaac's over active libido and Sam's insecurities because of it, it seemed Matt was just there to fill a need and not because he brought love and stability to the relationship. Sam's issues were just sort of swept under the rug and there was no closure there for me to feel these three would make it.

And then Matt is dealing with his PTSD and guilt over his friend. Now this got me emotionally. I FELT his pain and sorrow and actually teared up a time or two. I think HE had the support he needed from the other two but as a threesome it just didn't really work for me.

It was a lot more emotional than I was expecting. I cried at arts throughout the story but the last two chapter really had me crying like a baby. I loved the story, it was beautiful

I always seem to read these series out of order, I don't do it on purpose but it actually works out ok.

Matt is suffering from PTSD, guilt and just plain sadness from the war he served in. The war that took his best friend and secret crush Danny from him. He can't forgive himself for somehow not being able to save Danny.

The Drs Isaac and Sam have been lovers for over two decades, they still love each other a lot, but working with Matt and having him living very close to them has thrown a new dynamic into their relationship.
They both want him and he wants them. But Matt has serious issues and Isaac and Sam have some reservations themselves.
I actually sniffled a little, Matt and Danny's story really was touching, his family, friends and Julie were so great.

I always marvel how two become three so easily. It seems incredulous that there is never any jealousy between the three.
Matt is fighting his demons with guilt having come back alive from Iraq where his best fried is killed. He takes a job with the two doctors in the town and before long the three are declaring their love for each other.
A quick read, just right for a Sunday morning.

With this one Carol Lynne manages to make me cry. Maybe in these days I'm particularly weak, maybe it's the hot night and they are not tears, but sweat drops... but well, while I'm writing this, my eyes are blurry and I continue to blow my nose...

Matt was an army paramedic in Iraq. He saw a lot of things that no one should see, not one time, but day after day. His only friend and support was his fellow army buddy Danny. Danny was wonderful, handsome and nice and straight. But being Danny straight didn't prevent Matt to fall in love with him. But Danny died, in the only day Matt was not with him, and obviously Matt is torn with guilty.

Now Matt is living in Cattle Valley, he is the town new physical therapist and he is living in the above garage apartment of the two town doctors and lovers, Isaac and Sam. Sam is 52 years old and a very quite man; he likes his works and likes his home; comfort and peace are radiating from him. Isaac is 47 years old and a bit of a bull; strong and always in motion, maybe he is too much for Sam. And here is the problem: Sam and Isaac are together since 25 years and Sam always wondered if he is enough a man for Isaac; not that he ever doubt Isaac's fidelity, but well, he has always tried to accomplish every desire of his man, even when it was against his mood or wish. And now here there is a 27 years old man, handsome and nice, and in dear need of help. Sam wants to help him, but at the same time he fears that, allowing Matt to enter their couple, he will lose Isaac.

Well, I hope that you understand that I didn't cry for Sam's dilemma, but for Matt's journey to be able to move on his war trauma and the lost of his friend. Carol Lynne pushes all the right bottoms of emotion, the same bottoms that make you cry even if you are aware that you are reading a book, and that all you are reading is only fiction, but still you cry since you unfortunately know that what you read is not only fiction, but it happened and maybe is still happening somewhere in the world.

And now, after my emotional breakdown, I also want to try to analyze another aspect of the book: why when I read of a threesome between two men and a woman I hardly like it, and when it involves three men it doesn't bother me? I'm fully aware that I have a prejudice, and I also believe that it's a feminist thing (please, male friends don't shoot me, here I'm admitting one of my weakness...): since in my culture, the woman gives birth and the woman is identified with family, when there is a woman in the threesome, it's obvious for me that she is the center of the threesome, and at least one of the two man, if not both, depending on her. So when there is love between the two men, I feel the woman like an intruder, since I'm always expecting that she will broke the male bond. In an all male threesome, without this strong female figure, they are all equals, and I think they can build something together without never arriving to a break up.

Returning to the book in question, obviously Matt is the main character. All the book turning around him and his trouble, but there is still enough space to appreciate also Sam and Isaac. Maybe Sam is better outlined, and also is reasons pro and against the threesome are clearer. I still need to understand better Isaac... there is a strong sexual need that lead him to Matt, maybe a need that Sam is not ready or willing to satisfy, but I hope that he also loves Matt. If not, Sam will be the link between them, even if physically he is weaker than the two, probably he is stronger in will.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Matt, Sam and Isaac. The heat between them and the sizzling sex scenes between the three men provided a speedy, enjoyable and entertaining read for me. However, the maudlin state of Matt's mood and the associated PTSD scenes involving him were kind of depressing & slowed the story down for me, though it did add depth to the character & heighten the emotional stakes among the threesome, so it was not without merit.

Recommend for a well rounded read featuring hot M/M/M scenes!

Another pretty hot and heavy installment of Cattle Valley. Here we get Matt's story (the new physical therapist) and how he came to work for the sexy but older doctors. He's a war medic dealing with some PTSD and some guilt over losing his best friend over there.

Thankfully Isaac and Sam bring him into their loving relationship and they never look back.

A bit of everything essential: drama, humor, hot chemistry and lovable (older) men. A great addition to the series.

Wonderful, Loving and Emotionally Happy Read

This book I have wanted to read for so long and I really don't know why I waited so long. It was so beautiful and well written. I couldn't help but feel the pain Matt was feeling with every word on the page.

Matt is the new physical therapist in Cattle Valley. He's six months back from Iraq and losing his best friend Danny. Matt is having nightmares and flash backs to the war. The blood and death is getting to him but it runs even deeper to his guilt from not being there when Danny died. He was sick in bed and thinks was because of that Danny died.

Matt is also falling hard for the two doctors he's living above their garage. Sam and Isaac are the doctors in Cattle Valley with their own practice and work the hospital too. They brought Matt in after Nate said the town needed him. Sam and Isaac are falling for Matt like he is them. It's showing too.

Things come to a head and they talk then they talk to Matt. Which leads to them bring Matt into their hearts and bed completely. It is bumpy because Matt isn't ready to talk to anyone about his heartache. He gets offensive about it and things look even worse but thanks to a man in a bar Matt goes back to his men knowing Sam was only showing he loves him with the suggestion of seeking help.

I finally found out what happened to Matt at Kyle's wedding. He was having flash backs to his best friend Danny and him working on what Matt had always thought was Danny wedding book to his girl Julie. Matt was beyond off which we find out later.

After the wedding Matt opens up to his men about the wedding album. He was working on it when he got the news Danny had died. He kept the book which he also felt guilty about since he thought it was Julie's. He needed something of Danny to hold onto because he was in love with Danny even though he was straight.

Matt finally goes to the therapist and is shocked when he's already talked to Ben. He met him as BJ in the bar weeks back. Matt promises to get his men later for setting him up. He talks to Ben and knows that he has to go to see Danny's home. He doesn't want to but it might be the only thing to help his broken heart.

Matt goes to Kansas and a lot of things get resolved. Matt is having a hard time and this was the second hardest part of this book to read because it was so bitter sweet and loving too. I had to keep blinking back tears while reading. Matt and Danny's home town misses him so much. Julie his girl is the one that ends up giving Matt the best gift while there.

This is the part that got me the most; the wedding book was for Matt not Danny and Julie's wedding. It about broke me because of the guilt Matt had for keeping the album. Danny and Matt worked on the book together for hours while in Iraq. Danny thought it would be the only chance Matt would have to do it. There was so much love in the wedding album. Danny wanted Matt to find a place and he did; Cattle Valley, which he told Julie since Danny had told her about him. It was so heartfelt and bittersweet.

There as also the letter Danny left Matt which told him so many more things he needed to here. He accepted Matt for who he was and knew his best friend loved him even if he couldn't love him the same way back but didn't mean he didn't love him as deep as a lover could.

Sam and Isaac had their own bumps with dealing with getting older. There was also the difference in how they loved. Isaac craves sex a lot but Sam never has. Sam and Isaac had hit a rut in their sex life before Matt came along they know that Matt saved them. They would never have strayed from each other but Matt gives them both what they needed in the end.as

How anyone could say this isn't a wonderful book is beyond me. The love jumps at you from the pages. They give so much to each other and help along the bumps and pitfalls of life. I was emotionally drained from all the happiness and love. It was lover love, best friend love, and all around love.

Carol Lynne creates a place I'd want to live.

Physical Therapy is the fifth book in the Cattle Valley series. In this story, we again meet up with Doctors Sam Browning and Isaac Singer. Their love interest is Matt Jeffries who’s a physical therapist. This book is told in third person from each of the character’s povs.

  • Pamela Su

Okay. I quite liked this one. Again, insta-love but it was still cute to me. I also like age-gap stories.

This series isn't really meant to be taken too seriously. It's shallow and is meant to be quick, easy reading.

Poor Matt has come home from service with more than a few nightmares but with the love of the two town doctors - and lots of hot sex - he starts to heal. A great addition to the series

Review written for Love Bytes Reviews.

I would say that out of all the Cattle Valley books I’ve read so far, this is the one that has had the most in the way of drama and ‘issues’ to be worked through by the main characters. After living together and loving each other for more than twenty-five years, Sam and Isaac thought their relationship was solid but that belief is shaken when their new physical therapist shows up and shakes them both up. Unwilling to admit to the growing feelings they each have for their current house guest, Sam and Isaac find their once stable relationship beginning to fray a little at the seams. Matt isn’t unaware of the problems the other two men are having and with the attraction he feels in return for both of them, he feels it would be best for everyone if he were to just move out and continue to ignore the connection all three of them seem to share. Add in the persistent nightmares and lingering problems with PTSD and survivor’s guilt and Matt appears to be falling apart himself. When the attraction between all three men is finally acknowledged and brought out into the open, things seem to be going well but the lingering pain and guilt Matt deals with on a daily basis might just tear the trio apart in the end anyway.

While I’m always up for an easy low angst read, I found this to be a nice change of pace for the series and I really enjoyed the direction the author took it. Matt fit well with both Sam and Isaac and it seemed as though he was always meant to be there instead of just an extra that was added later. It was also nice getting to see all three men dealing with various problems, both individually and as a group, in regards to the relationship aspect as well as the healing that Matt really needed help achieving. None of the issues were resolved easily or early on in the book and the PTSD was an ongoing issue right from the beginning that was only really being addressed by the end of the story. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed not having everything fall into place so quickly.

This was a great installment to the series and just further reinforced my enjoyment of it as a whole; if you like a lot of variety in your books but enjoy seeing and catching up with previous characters, this series could be for you. So far I’ve liked every one that Ive read and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

    Wertung:
    4,6 Sterne

Well...for reading it alone (like I did) it's kind of overwhelming. There's no easy start into the story, you just kind of get dumped in the middle of everything and try to swim safely to the shore. As a part of the series however I'm guessing it's easier to understand. The doctors have probably been mentioned in the previous books and Matt seemed to have arrived to town six months before this book so it comes to reason they already had some experience as friends even though we don't actually see it here. I can honestly tell you that independently of all that I still enjoyed reading it a lot. It's very sexy and hot. The three of them seemed to get along incredibly well and my only only objection is how Isaac seemed to be the focus sexually while Sam was only there for the emotional hang-ups. Almost like each had their roles defined since the start and there was no point in straying. I didn't particularly found that fair and both Sam and Isaac actually seem to notice it when they're talking about one of them going to see Matt in Kansas. However neither of them seems to want to try to change it. And it's never spoken again. It seemed to me like it was glossed over just so they'd have a pretty HEA with no loose ends.

Physical Therapy is the latest Cattle Valley adventure penned by the wonderful Carol Lynne. Book five tells the story of Doctors Singer and Browning and their new employee/tenant Matt Jeffries. As an avid follower of this series I’ve been waiting to read about Sam and Isaac, and Ms. Lynne doesn’t disappoint! I love her true to life characters. Isaac is my favourite—handsome and sexy yet aware of the fact that he’s not getting any younger.

The addition of Matt, a young Iraq war vet, adds a timely and interesting plot thread. His story is deeply moving, making this another riveting installment in the series. As usual, the sex is hot, hot, hot. Cattle Valley threesomes are some of the best m/m reading there is. Yet amazingly, each novel is uniquely different. When Carol Lynne writes, I never feel like it’s the same story, different people. Each book is a wonderful getaway all to itself. Physical Therapy is the fifth installment in the series, but you needn’t have read them all to enjoy this one. Just make sure you have plenty of time, because once you pick up a Cattle Valley book, you won’t want to put it down!

I kind of think its funny that I am a straight female and yet I am reading gay romance I have never read gay romance before the reason I read this book originally is because I have a friend who is gay that is simply in love with this book series because he has told me all about this series (a lot) I figured I would give it a go well all I can is is my friend has fabulous taste (not that he would ever let me forget that for even a second)
I may be a straight female but I simply love the guys in the series I could not stop reading at one book I just had to know what was happening in Cattle Valley ... so far I have read the first 10 books in the series and the more I read the more I fall in love with this series I think its just wonderful I hope all people gay lesbian bi straight whatever find such a happy wonderful place to live in peace and joy
I am going to read this full series once I get a chance to as I simply have to know who winds up with who this is better than watching the soaps I just love it .. :)

I usually have a hard time reading a M-M-M plot. However, when a story is told well, it doesn't matter how many lovers are in one bed. I really liked how Matt, Issac, and Sam didn't put problems in the way of their relationship. Issac and Sam discussed issues, I am not sure they would have discussed if Matt had not come along. This made all of their relationships stronger. The only problem, I had with the story was the sex. Not that the sex scenes were horrible, far from. I just hated that sex was sort of blamed on why the other men needed Matt. Sam felt Issac would have strayed because he couldn't satisfy him as much as Issac would have liked. I just wish the couple would have said something alone the lines of, we need Matt, because he is Matt. It felt like Matt could have been replaced by any dick which annoyed me.

  • Kay

3 1/2 Stars! ~ I really liked the dynamics of this relationship and thought Ms. Lynne did a very good job expressing each of the characters. Though Ms. Lynne’s books do touch on tougher topics, in this book Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, they’re not deep dark reads. The three men each bring their own vulnerabilities to the story and I could see how together they could complete each other. What attracts me I think to this series is that the characters are all likeable, Ms. Lynne is true to her model for Cattle Valley, and these are light easy reads. Though the sex in this book is definitely male / male and ménage, it’s not overly graphic.

  • Caroline Brand

Sam and Isaac, both doctors, have been lovers for over 2 decades when they employ Matt as the new physical therapist. Their relationship has been a little stale of late and some of that is down to their sex drives not being compatible. Isaac is like a machine and Sam is finding it difficult to keep up.

There is obvious tension between the 3 men every time they are together and it isn’t long before they are all three falling into bed together. Matt is not long back from Iraq where he lost his best friend and is suffering badly from PTSD.

It was all very quick and pretty easy, the biggest problem was getting around the age gap but the three men seemed to work well together.

  • Shelby P

I was torn between giving this 2 stars versus 3 stars. I decided to settle on 3 stars because that voyeur scene with Matt outside listening to Sam and Isaac was HOT! The reason I rated books two and three 4 stars is because there was a bit of a chase in the pursuing of the relationship. Here it seemed like a sure thing. So what if you're attracted to a guy? I didn't buy the attraction between the three guys as a basis for forming a threesome.

One thing I do like about this series is seeing Gil and Kyle's wedding from different perspective. I like that all the stories run concurrent for a bit.
