The devil has been my fated mate for all of time. But can I forgive him for what he's done?

Lucifer and Eve. Hades and Persephone. Lucas and Hannah.

We’re dark and light. Wrong and right. Day and night.

I’ve lived a hundred lives, and in each one he finds me and claims me—and then I die. Violently. Usually in his arms. We’re inevitable…and cursed.

Until now.

With a shocking act of violence, Lucifer broke the curse and ended our wicked cycle. I’ve been reborn for the last time, but at what cost? Can we stop the evil we’ve unleashed upon the world?

Lucifer and Hannah's story continues in the sinfully sexy second book in the Claimed By Lucifer trilogy.

    2.5 Lacklustre Stars

Downloaded this when I went searching for book one, realised I'd read it and had been thinking about reading book 2.

Ends on a cliffhanger and finished with no raging desire to find out what happens - I can guess.

    Acquired via KU.

Loved the first book... But this...?

The first book had love, respect, yearning, and was really engaging. So while the ending left me hesitant, I figured I'd try this book. Nope. If you want a strong female character? Pass on this. If you want a romantic relationship that makes you swoon? Pass on this. I feel this is thinly veiled endorsement of marital rape. Oh she could say no and set boundaries? But now they're together so he overrules her when she says no? I got a third the way through the book before I just couldn't take how cringe it was.

The author needs alpha readers with standards if this got past them.

This one was not as good as the first one unfortunately

Maybe my mood changed while I was reading this book or maybe I had different expectations after the previous book, but I just didn't love this one. It seemed a little bland compared to how the story started and I honestly lost interest by the end. Even with the big, very active, scenes going on it didn't hold my interest much. I finished the series since I knew if I stopped after this book I'd most likely forget about it and overall it was good.

Lucifer broke the curse. Hundreds of years, hundreds of lives each one finding love with Lucifer and ending in death by Adam's hand. No more. This time Lucifer killed her. However, just because the curse is broken doesn't mean Hannah is safe or that she and Lucifer get their HEA. The Archdemons are still trying to overthrow Lucifer and Adam is still a threat. The curse may be broken but their biggest battle is yet to come. They may not walk away from it but they will face it together.

I have mixed feelings. I enjoy Hannah and Lucifer. Somehow, however I got it into my mind this was a duet, so as the ending neared and it became clear the story wasn't over, I was disappointed. This is on me, but still. Anyway, it was a compelling story. Action, passion, betrayal, heartache, and heartbreak. I got frustrated with Hannah. She focused too much on being mad. I didn't get it at all. And she paid the ultimate price for holding on to anger. I did like her 'finding herself', putting pieces of her lives together to discover who she truly is. Lucifer took everything in stride. He never pressured her to forgive, only to be at his side. I love this fallen anger. He's so sexy, domineering, and powerful, yet he allows Eve/Persephone/Lenore/Haniel/Hannah to completely rule his heart. I can't tell you how attractive I find this! The story was enthralling. So many twists and turns, so much action, so many little details proving the meticulous care Ms Briggs took constructing and writing this story. I also loved the extended family/crossover characters. I look forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Rolling into book two was a rollercoaster.

I have mixed feeling through some of it. Particularly with hannah in the first part of the story because she frustrated me to no end with her grudge holding. Now... I get it. She is an emotionally driven character who has been through it 1000 times over. But lord for a moment I didn't like her.

Now her and Lucifer have crazy chemistry and a undeniable connection that spans lifetimes with so much history. It's hard to deny that, it's felt through the pages. She is the soft to his hard. The peace to his war and his reasoning.

I adore the dedication he has to his woman. I love his whole alpha personality with a side of sweet. And I love that Hannah stands up to him when no one else will and pushes his buttons on the regular. They have a fascinating dynamic.

Their journey once again was very bumpy and unpredictable. Their life isn't easy and people keep testing them in ways that go beyond earth. It's action packed, suspenseful, frustrating, heartbreaking and steamy all rolled into one.

There are some interesting revelations and some real heartbreaking realities. It truly is an emotional rollercoaster that packs a punch.

Now book two left us on a epic cliffy and I'm interested to see where book three takes us.

The book was okay. It was a Kindle Unlimited find. I liked it enough to finish it, and I don't consider it a bad book. This book, as well as the first and third, are quick reads and easy to get through. There wasn't a WOW factor but I did enjoy the plot and take on "Hades and Persephone". I am intrigued by some of the other characters though so I might read those as well. I wouldn't go back for a second read but I would recommend it as a lazy vacation read.

    Awesome!

In book 2, Hannah find her true self. Lucifer is learning to accept her as an equal and help her learn her way with her new found self. A definite must read!

  • A little birdie told me...

I’m not sure why I picked this series up. It’s not my usual genre. Although I don’t love it, not for any other reason than it’s just not my thing, I do have to know what happens next.

Sadly I found myself skimming near the end. I liked the first book and I like the premise of this series. But I just don't know if I can get into it!

Sabe o dito popular quanto maior a altura maior a queda?

Loved the second installment of Claimed by Lucifer series, but now I have to wait until May 3rd for book three and I'm having withdrawals. Great worldbuilding, great characters and hot romance.

Book two of claimed by Lucifer trilogy the next thrilling instalment in this magnificent series loved reading it, it was awesome and just like the previous book full of unexpected surprises that you don’t see coming. I loved reading Hannah with her sons Kassiel and Belial I do hope we get to see Damien in the next book. I loved the fact that she meets her nephew Callan the son of Jophiel and archangel Michael who is one of the mates to half demon half angel hybrid Olivia daughter of Lilith and archangel Gabriel and Marcus the son of Archangel Raphael. It was sad to read about Jophiel’s death as she protected Hannah from Adam.

Following the events of the previous book Hannah aka Haniel aka Eve aka Lenore and many many names has just been revived after being killed by Lucifer her mate. Struggling with the memories she has regained and the feeling of betrayal from Lucifer although he did it to break the reincarnation curse but unfortunately if she is killed by Adam or anyone else she will stay dead. The betrayals keep coming when she learns that Jophiel made her human and bound her powers that only resurfaced because of what Lucifer did. She gets all her memories back including the fact that forty years ago she was killed when she was seven months pregnant with her unborn daughter. Kassel, Damien and Belial are her sons and she’s determined to reunite her family but Belial harbours hatred for Lucifer because of her curse leading him to be the one with Adam who was behind the attacks in the previous book. Adam stole Samaels ancient book including the location to the four elder gods the only creatures strong enough to defeat Lucifer. Pestilence, War, Famine and Death Lucifer’s father the one that cursed him and Eve. Hannah struggles to connect to her true self she doesn’t know who she is her whole life has been a lie, Hannah also is struggling with controlling her powers both light and dark powers something completely unheard of. the situation is dangerous especially when Adam becomes possessed by Pestilence and a battle erupts In the remains of heaven where War is released to save Belial his son Lucifer sacrifices himself and becomes War. Hannah with no choice traps him in heaven. But Pestilence aka Adam escapes, Belial tells Hannah he was going to release War and become one with him to fight Pestilence to protect her from Adam. So how Hannah is truly the queen of Hell with Lucifer being possessed by War and trapped and if things aren’t complicated enough looks like she’s pregnant with Lucifer’s child. I loved this book, this series has been a entertaining and enjoyable read so far I am looking forward to reading the last instalment to see what happens next with these amazing characters I definitely recommend reading this series

Omg!!!!! I am in love with this series!! 😍😍😍

Devilish Mate is the 2nd book in the Claimed by Lucifer series, and this book is packed with not only romance, but action, intrigue, sorrow, betrayal, redemption and sooo much more.
Book 1 ended with doozy of a cliffhanger and I'm extremely happy to say that it wasn't what it looked like...I mean it WAS (lol) but not. Even so, Hannah feels betrayed by Lucifer and isn't sure if she can forgive him, even though his actions were for a good reason. Through his actions, her powers and wings start reappearing causing her to go back to get sister Jo to gain back her memories. With her memories intact, she discovers that she is still in the same lifetime when she was an angel. She goes to visit her eldest son, and this is where everything goes downhill. Adam is trying to release the 4 horsemen... which will pretty much destroy the world... and he has some unexpected help. The final battle in this book is epic... and heartbreaking at the same time.

Omg this book has left me in a total book hangover and I'm biting at the bit for the next book to find out what happens.

This book gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and a wholeheartedly 100% recommendation from me for not only this book, but the series and the Seraphim Academy universe all together. I can already see how more spinoffs can be made ... Lilith and Zel need their own stories... and maybe even one for Belial.

I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

Love the action, love the premise dealing with angels and demons, and love the sweet, passionate connection between Hannah and Lucifer! So far, this has been a really enjoyable series! I’d recommend reading book 1 before this one, and warning! there’s a cliffhanger in this book.

Lucifer killed Hannah to break the curse on them, but yay!! he had a plan to bring her back. Unfortunately, Hannah isn’t exactly happy that Lucifer killed her. Hannah is also dealing with a lot of surprising things that are making life quite difficult for her. It is a bit annoying how much she keeps giving Lucifer heck, but I appreciate her sass and her strength. Lucifer is awesome; love how supportive and passionate he is about Hannah. These two have so much going on, and lots of enemies. There is danger all around! Fun action! Lots of old and new developments and secrets coming to light that are mostly upsetting. This is the only series I’ve read by this author so far, so the crossover characters didn’t add to the story for me since I don’t really know their story. Still a fun idea though! I’m actually not reading reverse harem anymore, so I probably won’t read that series, but the characters add an interesting. Overall, such an entertaining read!

With the curse lifted and Hannah’s Angel form restored, their biggest issue is still Adam.

Lucifer believes that Adam wants to release the four horsemen of the apocalypse, as that can be the only reason he would’ve stolen Samael’s journal.

Can they stop him before he brings the Apocalypse on all the realms?

I’m happy to say that most of the questions that arose whilst I was reading were generally answered within a few chapters, which is definitely something I appreciated.

I feel like there were a few moments where they clearly hadn’t learnt from past mistakes, but they did try to cover their bases for the most part.

A loooot of betrayal going on this book and I have no idea who can really be trusted. There’s a small group that I think are definitely loyal and not playing both sides…but I guess we won’t really know until the end!

On the one hand, I feel like Lucifer’s solution with War at the end was noble, but also incredibly misguided. Like at least put killing Adam into a clause of the deal, ya know? But I’m guessing he’ll be left til the very end because it’s suuuuper personal for both Lucifer and Hannah.

Cliffhanger ending so book three, here I come!

  • Alexandra

If the first book was somehow predictable, the second was very different. Hannah isn't just an ordinary girl who finds out she's mated with the devil. She has memories of her past lives, when she was a Fallen, a Fae, a human, and now she is an angel... and a mother to three beautiful and very different sons.
The devil is much more than a villain. He is an amazing king, a kind and protective father, a worthy and loving partner. I never expected all this to happen.
The plot is more complex than I thought. Adam, the archdemons try to take down Lucifer, while the archangels work with him. And they are like a big family :))
Belial's betrayal hurt a lot, but I kind of understand his point of view. They were all hurt by the curse. The ending...poor Lucifer...the way he sacrifices himself for his son..
I love the way the characters are written. They are more than their appearance.
But Lucifer now has a special place in my heart. And he and Hannah make such a beautiful couple. Their love, their chemistry, their trust. After thousands of years, love is as fierce as it was in the beginning.
"We're a pair. Dark and light, wrong and right, day and night. For all eternity "❤❤❤

Well this turned into a soap opera real fast. In a good way I swear!

I couldn’t help but gasp and cringe near the end it got so twisty in the journey. Some things I saw coming others were very much a case of nothing going to plan.

The first 20% was mostly a coming to terms for Hannah, and then things snowballed. I wasn’t sure if this was meant to be a duology or a trilogy while I read since the amount of action felt like it was coming to a big finale. I wasn’t sure if I wanted resolve or another book since I was enjoying the story and I was feeling rushed. But I’m a sucker for well written drama and reunions so this book was an improvement on the first which was a bit vanilla. If anything I felt the romance was distracting from the story. At least it wasn’t another RH even if Olivia’s is in the story.

Side note: would totally love info on what happened to the three children of Eve/Adam since the Lucifer/Eve/Persephone/Lenore kids are involved. Like origins of humanity or something??

Extra side: pestilence was totally a nod to 2020, or is that just me?

    4.0 stars, 80%, A-

  • Bo0kSLoth

I liked the flow and the action, but the grudges that Hannah holds get old real fast. The girl is an adult and she throws tantrums like a child. When asked if she trusts Lucifer they talk about the need to break the curse, she says yes but then gets bntt-hurt once she finds out what that entails. She throws a fits and a grudge that lasts days, even though Lucifer saves her life and does the one things that she asks - finds a way to break the curse. She's just mad that she didn't really trust him, but nothing is said about that. She is always running anytime is is angry. Not the best way to hand a relationship. I would hope she would hand learned that open-communication and not going to bed angry is best, especially if you've been alive for thousands of years. Even so plot is interesting enough to see what is ahead

Having read the first book in this series which ended on a cliffhanger, as this one also does, I was eagerly waiting for this one. Well, what can I say, I was hooked from the get-go, so much happening, so fast-paced with so many unpredictable twists and turns and then the climax! I felt drained, and heartbroken yet hopeful about where the author was going to take this story.

Lucifer and Hannah's relationship is far from perfect, but as Hannah strives to become stronger and Lucifer stands firm at her side you can't help but love this couple. They are meant to be together, they make a great couple and their connection/chemistry just can't be denied.

This is a series which you MUST read in the order they are written so if you have missed Demon King go back and read that first.

  • Nerky

Arrrrggggh! What a frustrating yet fantastic read. Those two are so pig-headed that sometimes I just want to bang their heads together! But it's their strong personalities that make this story work, and I found myself on the edge of my metaphorical seat most of the way through this book. There's so much to lose now that they've finally found each other, and at the same time so many things going off the rails in the supernatural world, and now I have to wait for the next book to see what happens! Looking forward to my promised Happily Ever After for Lucifer and Hannah. A great read. Highly recommended!

Note: I was provided with a review copy of this book free of charge, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

  • Jsalt80

    Whew! Exciting!

There was so much betrayal and underhandedness going on! So much fighting with a dash of love making and just love in general pulsing throughout this book. Sacrifices and intrigue! Can’t wait to read the next installment.

Although I must admit I kept getting a little confused with who was who’s son and who had what powers. All the “B’s”, Bastian, Baal, Belial, and I swear it’s another one! Lol. Then for some reason I couldn’t remember who Callan was related to until bigger events near the end. The parents of the children were so confusing. Oh! I think I know who he other “B” is but can’t remember his name, but he’s currently living in Fearie… without giving any spoilers.
