Zara's Big Messy Playdate (The \ Reviews
-
Zara & Sam (brother) were thinking about Saturday.
She was going to help sell books at the book fair, & he was going to buy some new comic books.
Mom had a surprise for them.
Mrs. Relish (mother) asked mom to help her plan the book fair.
Penelope Relish (daughter) came along to play.
Saturday book fair. Zara & Penelope started making posters.
Mrs. Relish assigned Penelope & Zara to work at the checkout table.
Dr. Rampersad (mother) heard the 2 of them arguing.
She had them think about their wants, worries, boundaries, & big dreams.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (elementary; MS age) feelings storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (wants, worries, boundaries, & big dreams), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

A good book to teach kids how to navigate effective communication in challenging situations.

Wonderful book to talk through conflict
This book presents a realistic scenario for conflict between kids and a beautiful method to working through it. Honestly, it’s skills I need to learn for myself as an adult for handling conflicts! Love the diversity of how the characters look in this book which is something I can always count on from Rebekah Borucki. I’ll never tire of hearing my child be excited a character actually looks like her!
