ROSE

They say blood's thicker than water, but they also say the grass is always greener...

Should I stay or should I go?

Sure, I need my dad, somewhere to live. But I don't need to be mixed up in the mess he's got himself into. Taking police bribes and faking taxes for dealers and meth labs?

I'm out. I won't have a part in it. I can't.

But how can I save dad from the cops, from himself and that whole world?

What I need is a knight in shining armor. My go-to fantasy when reality bites.

Oh, I know it's stupid, but a girl can dream.

I know he's out there, somewhere, and if I ever thought I needed him, whoever he is, I need him now more than ever.

Help me stranger, wherever you are. Come rescue me and help me save my dad too. I'll do whatever you want.

And I mean, anything.

THORN

Every rose has its thorn and every dark night has its dawn.

This Thorn's never found his rose though.

Probably never will.

And I know a thing or two about dark nights. Seen plenty of those, alone. I'm a lone wolf, flying solo but the club's my air.

The MC is the only tribe I have, all the family.

All the trust I need.

With the club's work, we're cleaning up Valor. Giving the town some of its own namesake back with our own. But when I see yet another younger girl, thumb out and hitching a ride in the fading evening light, I wonder if we're doing enough.

I never thought it could happen. Not to me anyway. Feeling her warmth pressed up against the back of me. Her hands around my waist.

"What's your name?" I ask her. "Rose," she answers shyly.

The low rumble of my ride underneath both of us. A sly grin curls my lip as I look up in silent thanks.

Looks like this thorn's just found his rose after all.

Her ride.

My Rose.

Mine.

I have read many Flora Ferrari books. I love the alpha older men and the younger women that she creates. While I have enjoyed many, this was not my fave. I felt it was slow going.
I did appreciate that it was a safe MC story since they are rare.

    -no cheating
    -no ow/om drama
    -virgin heroine/ long celibate hero
    -not very steamy
-epilogue 3 months and 2 years later

    Boring and no chemistry!

    DNFd at 43%, chapter 7.
I’m just not a fan of her writing style at all. It felt like I was reading a bunch of nonsense on repeat. Nothing felt cohesive in any way. There was no chemistry between the two characters, just matching names and the convenience of Rose needing Thorn’s help.
By the time I got to chapter 6 I was skimming the pages instead of actually reading because the structure was driving me absolutely insane.
It’s like she just threw together random statements and filled the pages with them instead of trying to write a story.
*sighs* I’m sorry for being so harsh, but reading this was so frustrating, it was making my eyes cross.
I need a palate cleanser, immediately.

I really loved this story Thorn and Rose were so good together. 😍😍😍it was insta love without OM/OW drama but with a bit action in it too.😉 Another great story in this MC multi author series.👍👍👍

    DNF @ 40%.

I couldn’t take the writing style. It didn’t feel like an actual story. Just a bunch of statements strung together haphazardly and those statements weren’t very cohesive.

Rose’s dad has gotten involved some how with the dirty cops and businesses in town, he’s a tax accountant and she finds he’s making fake tax returns to help launder money. They have an argument and she’s scared so she grabs a few things and runs. On her way walking out of town the weather turns so she decides to hitch a ride, a few creeps stop and then her knight in shining armor stops. Except he’s not riding a horse but a Harley. Thorn, a retired military man who now is a member of the Men of Valor, sees her trying to get a ride in the rain and stops. He feels an instant connection to her. She really takes a look at him and feels safe and protected. He takes her to his house and tells her he can help her. She tells him the whole story with her dad. He calls the MC and they step in to help. They get to know one another and feel a real pull towards each other. They have sex, she’s a virgin and he’s been celibate for years. The MC call in the feds and help her dad, they start to get the bad guys. Her dad is encouraged to work for the MC. Rose is pregnant and Thorn proposes, they have two kids.
Lots of Rose and Thorn references and tons of Men of Valor references, a few dozen times to many. Also he kept referring to the MC president as Cason, not his road name, Bullet. No other MC members are mentioned.

    Adjacent

I'm not sure why, but this was the story that I'd be waiting for in this series. The blurb just had me hook line and sinker. The novela was less than. It felt like this story was Valor MC adjacent. Outside of it being in valor, having Bullet in the story and MCs name, it could have been a completely stand alone book not connected. Even Cason being in the story was off, the way his personality was portrayed was so different from the others.

If you read this story outside of the Valor MC world, you'd possibly like it better.

Rose is scared because her dad has gotten mixed with the wrong people. As she tries to get away, she meets Thorn. Thorn happens to be the right man at the right place. Sparks fly instantly but things need to be figured out first before they give in to their feelings. Going characters with an instalove story. Thorn is Rose's knight at time she needs someone the most. Good quick ready with HEA.

In this book we meet Rose and Thorn. Rose has had enough of the mental abuse her father is putting her through since she has come back from college. One night he goes to far and Rose has had it and just leaves home. Part of her problem is she is sure he is doing something illegal for the local cops and she wants him to get out. There is something in his eyes that tells her she has to save herself because he might be lost. While on a stretch of road leaving out of Valor she is picked up by Thorn. She really wants nothing more to do with Valor or the MC their after hearing they are part of the problem but with the sky's opening up she has little options. Thorn and the men of Valor are trying to make their town a better place. So when he sees a woman walking along the road he knows he needs to help. From the moment their eyes meet Thorn knows this woman is more than just a stranger he is helping that night. Can these two find a HEA or with everything going on in both their lives will they be driven apart forever?

This is another amazing story in this series. This author has given us another story that will have you looking for more from this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Rose was shocked when she found rolls of money in her father's things When she asked him where it came from, he refused to tell her and verbally attacked her. When she tried asking to be careful to not be caught by the police, her dad said "who do you think gave it to me?" Rose decided that she needed to leave home and even leave town to avoid being caught up in this. As she is hitchhiking out of town, she is picked up by Thorn a member of the Men of Valor MC. Rose tells him why she left home and Thorn offers to do his best to save her dad from trouble. Rose doesn't know why she feels like she can trust Thorn so fast but it feels like they are meant to be together.

Thorn loves belonging to the Men of Valor MC. They are doing their best to clean up the town but it isn't easy when there are bad cops involved. Thorn is also lonely and has been looking for the right one for him. When he picks up Rose and takes her home, he feels like he has finally found HIS Rose. Now he just has to save her dad.

I thought it was a good book, it was a bit different from the others, this one was a bit too quick with everything, say short but sweet. The chemistry between Rose and Thorn is great. They meet when she runs away from home because her father has gotten himself into trouble and is busy with shady affairs.

Thorn wants to try with the help of his brothers the Valor MC's men to rescue her father. It is beautifully written and the characters and characters are great and it is a nice addition to the series of men from Valor series.

This book is highly recommended and if you like Ms Flora's writing style and the genres she writes then I would definitely read these and other books by her. !!!

Rose is scared, she left her fathers house, outraged and disappointed at her father. He is lying, taking up with a rough crowd and it looks like he is involved in criminal activity. But it is getting dark, cold and scars on the only road out of Valor.
The rumble of a motorcycle mixed with the crackle in the sky.
This is the beginning of Rose and Thorn.

The story is quick and steamy.

Are the Men of Valor MC able to help her dad out of the trouble he is in.

What about Thorn does he get to keep his Rose?

When Rose finds out about her father’s current business activities she wonders if she really ever knew him at all. She doesn’t want to stay but her options are limited until Thorn comes into her life, but can she trust him to help her and her father out of their predicament?

Thorn is a member of the Men of Valor MC who sees Rose on the side of the road and knows that she is meant to be his. He will do anything to not only keep her safe but to keep her in his life and that means helping her father.

Sweet and sexy there is no denying that they give each other everything that was missing in their lives.

I thought that this was a good book. Thorn and Rose were really good together. Rose needs help and Thorn was there to help when she didn't have anyone else. I enjoyed the strong feelings that Rose and Thorn had for each and they didn't let their chemistry interfere with trying to help Rose. Overall, I thought that this was really enjoyable book and a great addition to the series. I would recommend this book and Ms. Flora as a great author.
