How Long Is Now?: A Journey to Enlightenment...and Beyond Reviews
-
Best book on enlightenment ever.
-
A wonderfully rounded, grounded and unpretentious exposition on spirituality. Tim Freke is a refreshingly accessible guide - by turns serious, humorous, poignant and profound. And who else, on the journey towards truth and enlightenment, would bypass his readers around the usual spiritual gurus and introduce them instead to the wonderful 'Vicky the Rope Slut'? Big love, Tim!

There are many things to love about this book. I find I learn best by experience and outside of that, by stories of others experience that connect me to their story and my own.
Tim shares more than anecdotes here, he captures experience in an honest vulnerable way and for me that's a direct route to no only learning but connecting to a Truth with a capital T. There's no short form "5 steps to enlightenment that you can do on your commute to work" here, but what Tim does is take us on his journey with an open hand and open heart. His curiosity and generosity come through loud and clear and I couldn't help but feel I'd made friends with a fellow pilgrim. His stories are filled with that rare combination of chutzpah and humility.
If you want a book by a didactic guru, this is not for you. If you want kinship and insight from a wise man you'd like to share a pint with, then this is a book for you. -
The author has an easy to understand writing style. This makes the concepts that he presents about consciousness and enlightenment accessible to the average reader. I like the way that he speaks to the reader about his own subjective experiences and what "lucid living" looks like in the real world. Some good nuggets here!

Inspirational, wise and beautiful
This is a transformational book. The idea that separation is a necessary part of divine consciousness liberated me from years of frustration with the spiritual path. I highly recommend this book! -
Liked it enough to go on Tims' retreat at Glastonbury, both are highly recommended.
