This book claims to be eschatological, but it is simply American Nationalism. I was appalled by the authors lack of complexity and nuance, as well as his oversimplified scriptural and historical interpretations. It’s not that his conclusions were incorrect, it’s that his entire approach lacked any depth I would expect from an academic writer.

My main issue with this book boils down to one simple fact: the message of the End Times is a message of hope, not fear. Christians should not see current global events as something to avoid and be fearful of; nor are Christians meant to try to stop the End Times from happening. For goodness sake, we aren’t even meant to try to predict when these events will happen or what they will look like! We are, however, meant to have hope. Just as the martyrs of the Early Church, we are meant to read these prophesies while we face pain and persecution with the hope of a world to come. (I should also add that the Church is far from being persecuted in Western culture, although it is true that faith is becoming less of a pillar of our culture. There is a difference, and it would do the Church well to learn it so that we are not needlessly victimizing ourselves.) “Dr.” David Jeremiah is using a twisted Scripture to scare his readers into buying into a political agenda. Jesus would surely flip his table.

We cannot stop the End Times; we also cannot predict them. We are wasting our time even trying. Instead, let’s choose to worship Jesus, unify as one Body despite political differences, and have hope that the Day of the Lord is coming. Let’s enjoy the world we have while we can, but let’s not forget that our true home is on its way. Let’s also steer clear from false prophets and divisive figureheads who abuse Scripture.

I asked for this book for Christmas and I've been reading a little at a time for about ten days (between other books I've been reading). I've liked Dr. Jeremiah for many, many years and highly respect his teaching. I'm also extremely interested in anything to do with the end times. So, I hoped this book would reveal some new things to me. It wasn't so much full of revelation as it was stating the way things are in this world and reminding we as Christians how we should be living in the end times. Dr. Jeremiah talked about socialism, globalism, the pandemic, economy, cancel culture, false prophets, and Israel's place in current and future events. He has a warm, encouraging voice in his teaching and the book is a good pep talk on we as Christians fulfilling our purpose during this special time in history that we have been created for. Through God's power, we can make a difference. It's a good book.

Whether you are new to the Biblical study of the End Times (Eschatology) or a long-time student of it, there's something to be said for Dr. David Jeremiah's latest foray into the topic. No one can deny that the last couple years have left us wondering, "Where do we go from here?" and "Wow, something strange is going on here." Dr. Jeremiah takes current headlines and shows how Bible prophecy, both Old and New Testament, points to just what we're seeing. And then he helps walk us through what it means and what we should be doing as Christians. This is a fast read in Dr. Jeremiah's conversational, warm, grandfatherly voice that, as always, is rife with wisdom. Highly recommend!

I've read many of Dr. David Jeremiah's books and have to say that this is one of his best. The author is excellent at exploring and explaining Bible prophecy and always backs up his writing with Scripture.
This book took on world events, cultural changes and societal belief systems that have seen radical changes. Each chapter focused on a certain topic; socialism, globalism, pandemics and plagues, economic chaos, apostasy in the church, cancel culture, and more.
Dr. Jeremiah definitely didn't shy away from hot button issues in this one. That may be one of the many reasons why I have highly recommended it. Each topic is handled with tact yet provides firm warnings where applicable.
This world has seen so many changes in the past decade or so. For people of faith, certain events fulfill Bible prophecy.
As always, this book can be enjoyed and understood by anyone no matter where they're at in their spiritual walk. Certain facts were new discoveries while others confirmed thoughts that I suspected. Loaded with charts, illustrations and so on, they also further explain topics.
This would be an ideal small group study. It's definitely a book to add to your personal library.

In “Where Do We Go From Here?:How Tomorrow's Prophecies Foreshadow Today's Problems” Dr. David Jeremiah with startling accuracy sets current events against the backdrop of Biblical prophecy with signs of what to expect as global problems like war, pandemic, political and climate unrest shake the world's foundation. The book is written to give Christians not only a front row seat to what’s happening in the world with a message of hope, but stir a need in those that don't know Christ Jesus to change their minds and hearts.

Well-written , uplifting and backed by scripture this book is a must read.

This was a Sunday school lesson we did over several weeks. It was very interesting and eye opening about our world and government today. I am not sure I agree/believe everything in this book, but it does make you stop and think about the country's decline in recent years. I would recommend it if you are not happy with the situation of our nation, it might cause you to move to action.

Dr David Jeremiah addresses current world crises and connects these concerns to Biblical prophecies. The author offers Biblical solutions that we can apply in our personal lives. The book is very thought provoking.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to make sense out of current events, trends, philosophies and more with regard to Biblical prophecies. The first part of each chapter illustrates and gives examples of what we see happening in our world today. For example, tendencies toward socialism, globablism, and cancel culture, finacial chaos, events such as the Covid pandemic, and political, spiritual, and geographical issues. It seems depressing until the author addresses each topic in light of scripture. The author shows how obviously each topic is of no surprise to God and is prophesied about in scripture. The chapter then addresses how Christ followers can strive to think and act and proceed with life without the depression, frustration, anger, or anxiousness that some of these topics can cause. An encouraging read for Christians today!

Dr. David Jeremiah has written another outstanding book about how so many current events that are going on in the world are foreshadowing the prophecies of the Bible. He explains things in a very clear and concise way and I read this book in one day! I couldn't put it down. It was riveting and so many examples were given to help one to understand the concepts that he was explaining so clearly and so well. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in the prophecies of the Bible and how these line up with the headlines in the news stories going on in the world today! Well written and very clear and concise.

The past couple years have felt like a very strange time. Everything seems to have abruptly changed. We may feel helpless and no longer in control of our lives. We may have a sense of foreboding as we wonder where present trends are heading, what all this will mean for us, our families, our nation and our world.

Seeking to provide some spiritual answers is a book by pastor and TV minister David Jeremiah, “Where Do We Go From Here?” The author discusses current events in light of numerous biblical scriptures. Dr. Jeremiah feels we are seeing at least some preliminary signs of prophetic events that will lead to a time of unimaginable trouble in the world followed by the Second Coming of Christ and His joyous reign on earth.

Much of the information is sobering and encourages readers to strengthen their spiritual lives and remain faithful to God even during trying times. He reminds us that salvation comes only through accepting Jesus as personal savior.

God and Christians will ultimately triumph and the book ends with a message of hope. We each have a part to play, and the author encourages us to each use our talents and abilities to accomplish what God shows us to do.

This is the second of Dr. Jeremiah’s books that I’ve read, having previously enjoyed his uplifting book about heaven.

A few days ago, my wife, Sandy and I attended an event in Ft. Worth, TX hosted by Dr. Jeremiah. The worship music was engaging and joyful, the message was inspiring. It was a special evening.

I loved reading Dr. David Jeremiah explaining Biblical prophecy and how it is alining with our world today. Through the chaos, Dr. Jeremiah also reminds us of our hope we have in our Savior.
He is able to explain throughout the book in a way, it is understandable and gives biblical scripture to cross reference.
If you are wondering where we are biblically in time, I highly recommend this book.

This book follows elements of prophecy in the Old and New Testaments that we see happening today in our world. Dr. Jeremiah doesn't give dates and times for these prophecies to happen. He talks about signs we see. If we see such and such happening, then think about this scripture. But most of all, he calls us to love each other.

  • Larry Hopkins

A very timely book about the day in which we are living. Dr. Jeremiah gives us scripture after scripture that relates to current events and reminds us of our role as followers of Christ to remain vigilant.

  • Carol Ghattas

David Jeremiah writes an up-to-date review of where we are in the world in light of prophecy and Christ's return, building on earlier books and works of others. The difference that I appreciated in this book is he concludes each chapter with the phrase from the book's title: Where do we go from here? He doesn't leave us with the doom, gloom, and worry, but reminds us where we stand as Christ-followers and how we should press on in light of our current situations.

As he said in the introduction, he is helping us to learn how "to do the next right thing." This takes me back to a word from Elisabeth Elliot, who after the horrific death of her husband, Jim, said she learned to just do the next right thing in order to move forward in her walk with Christ. Jeremiah is helping us to do this as well, remembering "in the midst of a chaotic world, we have a steadfast Savior who is preparing to come again."

A recommended read for those who need encouragement to press on and live in the hope we have in Christ.

In a world full of increasing reports of war and disaster, in a country that is relentlessly being torn apart from the inside, the only hope is Jesus Christ. Dr. Jeremiah takes the major problems in America and the world today (as of 2021) and views them through a Christian worldview. For every problem, no matter how bad or scary it appears, Dr. Jeremiah uses specific verses from the Bible to show how to correctly view, and what our actions as Christians should be in response to, the problem. For a book with such a serious topic, I found it to be a very encouraging read.

Let us go to the Kingdom!

I loved this book cover to cover. I learned many things from Dr Jeremiah. You can’t read this book and not wonder how so many politicians are striving toward socialism that was a product of Karl Marx who it turns out was a worshiper of Satan and a despicable man. Dr Jeremiah’s knowledge of history enlightens us about what socialism has done to countries like Venezuela. We have one hope in this world and that is the gift of Salvation given to anyone who believes and receives, by Jesus Christ our Lord! Let us go to his Kingdom!

    Excellent book

I really enjoyed reading this book. If you are interested in learning how events happening in the world today relate to future Biblical prophecies this is the book to read. Dr. David Jeremiah does an excellent job of looking at our distressing times and showing how they relate to future Biblical prophecies.

Dr. David Jeremiah is known for his end of times discussions. This study covers prophetic foreshadowing in the future, while relating to current social and moral issues of today. I was especially interested in his commentary on socialism and modern cancel culture. Very good book. Make for a great Sunday School study.

Another educational encouragement from Dr JeremiahVert

Very well researched and straight ahead accounting of where we are, where we’re going, and how Christians are to present ourselves to this broken and hurting world.

  • Mary

This book in conjunction with Dr. Jeremiah’s sermons need to be read and watched as well. This series will impact you in a way that nothing has to date. Covid was just the beginning and Dr. Jeremiah explains all that is going on right now and for the foreseeable future. A must read.

Dr. David Jeremiah addresses such issues as cancel culture, pandemics, socialism, Jerusalem, etc. and examines how they fit into Biblical prophecy...or not. He then puts forth the Christian's response as taught in Scripture.
