Myra despises liars. And the biggest fake just stole her coffee shop.

Skyler Ridge, the famous country music star, is a fake. At least that’s what the tabloids say—that he doesn’t have a country bone in his body. Running from a scandal and the relentless paparazzi, Skyler lands in the small town of Maple Bay where he buys a failing coffee shop. He wants peace, quiet, and the chance to reinvent himself. Instead, he gets a cowgirl-barista with a surly attitude. But even though Myra drives him crazy, he can’t deny the fire she lights in him—a spark he hasn’t felt in years.

Single-mother Myra is edging on forty and has no room for a man in her life. She barely has room to breathe. But when she can’t save her coffee shop from foreclosure, the most irritatingly handsome man forces himself into her life. And she wants him out. Now. So when Skyler’s agent presents Myra with a deal to gain her coffee shop back, she jumps at the chance.

The catch? Myra must turn Skyler into a real cowboy and save his country music career—before his label drops him.

But as Myra and Skyler are forced to spend time together, their broken hearts start to heal. Can they overcome rocky pasts to find a happily-ever-after? Or is their love song destined to end on a sour note?

A sweet enemies-to-lovers romance full of hope, redemption, and how following your heart will always lead you home.

★ BONUS: Includes a sweet, scrumptious recipe for Chocolate Pie.

What a beautiful heartwarming romance. It's full of emotions and will keep you turning the pages. If you are a fan of clean small town romances, you will love this book. I read it in one sitting and hated to see it end. Loved it!!
I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Like the past books in this series, Country Stars in Maple Bay, hooks you right from the start and keeps you dreaming with stars in your eyes. You will go through just about every emotion and love each second of it (and not just because I'm pregnant haha).

Author Brittany Joy has such a beautiful way of writing that really pulls you in and keeps you close. Coming back to this series is like seeing a best friend after years have past, and picking up right where you left off. It's comforting, beautiful, and sometimes may cause you to tear up (but it's worth every bit of it).

One of my absolute favorite things from this book is that no one does anything absolutely horrible to another, yes people make mistakes. However, in so many books the guy or gal does something completely unforgivable and is forgiven so easily. In this story, it's nothing too outrageous and you only want to hate the people you should hate (a.k.a. the story villains). So many things in Country Stars in Maple Bay can be relatable to many people in all walks of life and it touches on so many issues that families struggle with today.

I highly recommend this book and so glad I was able to read it, even though it took me longer to read than it should have (thanks pregnancy haha). Be sure to get this one NOW! Dont waste another minute without it.

Country Stars in Maple Bay is a sweet romance between Myra the barista and a single mom and country singer Skylar.
New beginnings, trust and second chances as I watched a friendship turn into something more.
Loved the characters and the small town feel.

I received an ARC prior to publication and decided to voluntarily review it.

    'Maple Bay is Perking Up'

I really enjoyed this book, however, I had to put myself into this story thinking why would a country music singer want to buy a coffee shop? If he wanted to buy an investment property, why this place? But really it didn't necessarily have to do with Myra's business, but the building as a whole. There were decades of memories about this old barn where there were weddings back when his grandma had memories of dancing and making memories.

Myra Wilder is a single mother of two kids - Paisley and Finch. She was foreclosed on her business for the lack of payment to the bank, six months past due. Myra is taking care of everyone else, like taking care of her mother who needed a hip replacement and couldn't put it off anymore. So, guess where her money was going?

Skyler and his manager Cedric come into the coffee shop one morning offering Myra an opportunity to get her business back. His contract with his label is due to be renegotiated in a few weeks. But if he doesn't fix his image, the label is going to drop him. Then he may as well stick around and serve coffee.

If Myra took part in this plan and Skyler got a new contract with his label, she would receive payment in the form of her coffee shop. 'PerkUp' would be hers, free and clear. No loans. No Mortgage. Just hers.

"I'll do it under one condition."

Find out what happens with Skyler and Myra. And don't forget to make that chocolate pie recipe at the end of the story. Happy eating and happy reading!

This story about Myra & Skyler was wonderful. She's a divorced mom with 2 kids trying to run her coffee shop but gets into debt and the bank is threatening to foreclose. Along comes Skyler, a popular Country Singer newly divorced & was running wild all while trying to do country singing the way his recording label wanted him to. The problem is this just wasn't him. He's told to take a break and get away and get his stuff together. He's rich, but doesn't go to some exotic island, instead choosing to take his grandma and goes to small town Maple Bay. He has a big reason behind going there.

He buys Myra's coffee shop from the bank, and a house nearby for him and his grandma to live in. Myra was devastated at losing her shop. She instantly doesn't like Skyler. His manager has plans up his sleeve unbeknownst to Skyler.

The way Myra and Skyler end up connecting will really pull at your heart strings. These two that have been hurt badly in the past and are guarding their hearts, are trying to keep things professional. Once they get to know each other you'll see why this is almost impossible to do.

You need to read this book to find out all that happens. It'll keep you on the edge of your seat and wondering what's going to happen next. This is a very well written and entertaining story. Love it.

This is my second book by Brittney Joy and I very much enjoyed it. It’s like a really nice hallmark movie with all the sweet moments, a nice small town, two characters that don’t quite get off on the right foot, and endearing town characters.

Skylar is a big Country star, getting away to a small town to lie low from some horrible media scandals/stories. He buys a local coffee shop and a house by the lake. Beneath his celebrity status is a very sincere man who just wants to play music, live a normal life, and help his grandma who suffers from dementia.

Myra is a single mother who is very independent and supports herself through a coffee shop she has built up. She has a big heart but has a hard time letting down her protective walls after a messy first marriage and divorce. When the bank forecloses on Myra’s business and sells to the famous Skylar Ridge, she is devastated.

Skylar and Myra get off to a rocky start but soon both characters come to know each other and the wonderful qualities they each possess. Which also happen to attract them to each other lol.

This is a very sweet love story that has a great ending.

Favorite moments: whipped cream, water tower, CMA awards.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the third book in my sweet, small town series, Maple Bay. Myra was a secondary character in the first two books and from the moment she came to life on the page, I knew I needed to write her love story. She is a sassy, tell-it-like-it-is cowgirl and one of my favorite characters I've written to date.

    I truly hope you enjoy!
    XOXO, Brittney

Another amazing book from Brittney Joy called "Country Stars in Maple Bay". A enemies-to-lovers romance between country singer Skylar and single-mom barista Myra. They must not only save the coffee shop, but also ensure that Skylar's career does not fall apart. Although they don't like each other at all at the start, they will have to work together to make it all work.

While reading the book, I really enjoyed it. Brittney Joy really did her best on this story. The characters were very well described. I'm looking forward to the next book from her. If you love a sweet, clean, contemporary romance, then this is a must-read.

I voluntarily received an ARC copy from the author and was not required to write an positive review. All opinions are my own.

Myra is a divorced mother of two, and owner of Perkup. Skylar is a country music star, with a wounded image. He recently moved to Maple Bay with his grandmother who suffers from dementia. Myra is shocked to find out Skylar has bought her coffeeshop and she's determined to get it back. What happens when a country music star meets a divorced mom with walls around he heart? Read this book to find out. Even though I was given a copy of this book by the author, it in no way influenced my opinion and this is my honest review.

  • Kayla

I almost liked the book, but it didn't rivet it me to its pages.
Would I recommend it to a friend? No.
    Nor will I reread it.
I couldn't really relate to the main characters. Nor was I waiting with baited breath to see what will happen next and what they're going to do about it.
Also, Myra's and Skyler's having divorced their spouses earlier was very unnecessary and annoying in my opinion.
I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

I really enjoyed this book along with the other Maple Bay books. This is a standalone and you won’t get lost if you haven’t read the others. If you are looking for characters you might meet next door, this is not a book for you. The characters are well depicted and I really loved Dorothea. Finchy is so sweet. I do recommend this one.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

  • Vivian

What a sweet story, love the theme of second chances, both in life and in love, love the small town feeling.
I really enjoy the way that Brittney Joy writes, it feels like she is writing straight from her heart into your heart, and this book is no exception, the character development is very good and the situations that she creates in the book are very believable.
The ending will warm up your heart.

  • Alexa

Skylar and Myra are cute, but super boring. This book in particular felt the most Hallmark-like (2 weeks in and professing their love), and felt a bit phoned in to me. And I understand the families are super close with all of the aunts and cousins, but being nit picky, I didn't like that Myra referred to Charlie as her niece/ and Evan was listed as an uncle to Finch. They're all cousins, lol, even if it was meant to portray how close the families are; it felt like a content error to me.

  • Nati

A great story about second chances, trustable Nd new beginnings. Myra is devastated when she learns that her coffee Shop and her home has been sold by the bank. Skyler, a famous country singer, is trying to keep his grandmother’s memories alive and hiding from his fame in small town Maple Boys. CAn Myra and Skyler start the wrong way but find their path to each other? Sweet love story

A small coffee shop is struggling to pay its bills
Her bank manager SELLS her mortgage — and now she has a partner!!! SHE is not happy!!! And when she realizes who her partner is .. . . still not happy. THIS IS A GREAT love story — small town romance!! LOVED IT, I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.

What a lovely sweet return to Maple Bay! I loved hearing a love story for Myra! I especially adored the story wrap up on Dorothea at the end. On a personal level I got really excited at not just one, but two mentions, of Brainerd, a city I’m familiar with and is close to family.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

    Small town love

Sky and Myra are adorable together. He is a country music star trying to get away from the limelight. She is a coffee shop owner, or so she thought. As it is bought out from under her, by Sky. I love how this brings some of my favorite tropes together. Small town romance, and single parent.
The plot and characters are well written. A must read.

  • Jill

    Sweet love song

This story is so sweet, not at first but gets good fast. Myra loses her coffee shop to an unexpected buyer. What does a famous country star what with a local small town shop? Sawyer is looking to hide from his fame. Can Myra get her coffee shop back? This is a fantastic story. Loved this series.
