  Kitty Norville) series - but I didn't read that one at all, and I had no problem following this novella)

  These short stories with Cormac and Amelia are fun, but so much more fun when Kitty and Ben get in on the action. I liked how this one started out with the 4 of them trying to see if the rumor of a mermaid near by was true. Of course it was and the mermaid in question needed help, something Kitty is all about and wrangled the others into helping. From there things got a bit crazy, a zany mad cap adventure across the country to get he mermaid home. I was glad that through it all Cormac kept his calm head and that Kitty makes friends every where, who were there to help.

  An actual mermaid! In Colorado!
  
  There's a mermaid in a reservoir in rural Colorado. Ben, Kitty, Cormac and Amelia go to investigate, and sure enough. Nia only wants to get home and she'll need to trust them for it to happen. Of course others are interested and their motives are more suspect, with videos going viral! How does one transport a mermaid from Colorado to the east coast and make sure she stays wet? It was a fun, exciting adventure, and it's fun seeing Format and Amelia's relationship growing.

  How does a mermaid end up in a landlocked artificial body of water? Cormac and Kitty find a mermaid in Colorado's Horsetooth Reservoir, but unfortunately a drone manages to film their meeting. Now it's a race to get the mermaid to the Atlantic Ocean before the people who are after her for "scientific research" purposes capture her. Entertaining novella (as always), though I wish it was longer so we could find out more about the mermaid!

  Mermaid, Werewolves, Hunter/magician… and a chase. This story has it all. I really like Cormac and Amelia’s relationship. I have a feeling something interesting is going to happen on that front.

  I've enjoyed this series for a long time. Glad to see Cormac and Amelia get their own side series to tell their adventures. This was exciting and highly enjoyable. I can definitely recommend the book, series and author.

  The first mystery is what is a mermaid doing in a freshwater lake off a dammed river in a landlocked state. Kitty has heard rumors about her and finds her quite quickly thanks to Ben’s howls. Now Cormac, Kitty and Ben need to put their heads together to get her out and into the waters of the Atlantic. But they are racing the clock because there are some bloggers that want to capture her and seem to have a lot of funds at their disposal. This was really nice since Kitty and Ben make an appearance, but Cormac and Amelia are still the stars of the show.
