Nights of Desire (Long Line of Love #1) Reviews

Oh my this book was/is just horrible. While some of the love scenes were steamy, the dialogue and characters were ridiculous.

Let me start by saying I had great hopes for this book. It is not very often you can read interracial romance stories about African American women and Native American men. This story started great with a strong black women who knew what she wanted and went after it. Later you realize this broad is just weak and sex depraved. She spends 95% of the story trying to convince herself that she is not dreaming and bringing up his past lovers every time she opened her mouth. The guy in the story spends 95% of his time talking about how much and how long he has loved her but I could not feel it or see it. This book had nothing but non stop sex from beginning to end. This I do not have a problem with but it can not be the whole story. There did not seem to be much character development and there was definitely no romance. The only character I found myself being drawn to was the character Brandon. I give it at least one star because every so often there is a peek of tenderness and acceptance between characters. The real relationships were that of the male lead and his siblings and that of the female lead and her best friend, never between the supposed love interests. This particular book was a great disappointment.

Okay so I just finished reading this book and wow!
So romantic... so hot.. makes you want to fall inlove! Those Grayhawks!!!! Now I know what everyone was talking about.

This book is great right from the start. You will meet Tempest Marshall, a loyal friend and a woman with a lot on her heart.
She CLEARLY has a thing for her boss but for some reason cant let go of her past, but why is she willing to let go of her future?

And then there is her boss... sooooo hot so smart soooo single... soooo stubborn!!!! I love a take charge man but he cant always have things his way.. there has got to be a lil room for compromise!

The two of these people had me wanted to knock sense into their heads right through the read!!!!
I was with them all the way..

My take.. if I were Tempest... i would have soo been enjoying the ride! Whhhaattttt !!!!!!! A sexy man telling me----
Wait.. i better not say what happens... you have to read it.

The story is easy to follow and your heart goes out to certain characters.
Its Oh sooo hot and Ever so sweet.. By the time you'll want a Grayhawk of your own!!!

I give this book *****5 stars

When an author is this good.. you cant help but to tell the truth!

This is a 2 book series.. and im starting the next one tonight!

Honestly I really wanted to like this book, but in all reality this book was just awful! The lead female character in this book was (in the begining of the book only) confident and sure of herself. And then after (I'm not gonna spoil) an event happened in the story, she started just spent the majority of the book putting herself down, and talking about how she must be dreaming and this cant be real. It annoyed me so much how she thought she basically wasn't geed enough for the male lead. The reason I didn't give it 1 star is because there are some characters in the novel that were eccentric in a good way. This novel was just sooo not for me...

I loved this interracial story. I loved the concept of "A Long Of Love". Layton was a man with a silver tongue and a control on his emotions.
A Native American Man who I would have enjoyed getting to know. To find a man who sees you inner beauty is rare. To find a man who will wait for it is a gem.
So story it is in make believe fiction. But I loved reading it.
There are more siblings and I hope more stories, with the same romantic feel.

  • Elizabeth

A great continuation from the original.....really wish she'd continue with the rest of the brothers.

  • Deloris

I really liked this story but i thought the love scenes were a little childish. This is going to be a really good series when the love scenes reach maturity.

  • Erica

An okay read that started off really strong, but I really couldn't get over how how Tempest insecurities played out in this book.

  • Trish

I love the inner spiritual ability of the siblings. This is the first non-paranormal book I've read that touched on it. I enjoyed this read.

  • Sharon Huxford

I liked Layton but Tempest was annoying
