Sure, there are still challenges, like the bandits that are occupying the nearby mountains, but Matt is content with his life in this small town.
But as he hears stories from the local men about the happiness they have found in marriage, Matt begins to wonder if the time has come for him to find a wife and start a family too.
Clara Weston is facing an uncertain future.
Her army captain father has been killed in battle, leaving Clara and her elderly grandmother, Eugenia, alone to fend for themselves. And with her grandmother’s health declining, Clara is living with the weight of the world on her shoulders – but her grandmother isn’t having any of it.
Feisty and tenacious, Eugenia isn’t about to let her granddaughter throw her life away – and so she advertises on Clara’s behalf as a mail-order bride.
Clara is furious when she discovers her grandmother’s plot, but as Matt’s response catches her eye, Clara warms to the idea of marrying a sheriff and starting over in a new town.
Together, Clara and her grandmother set out for Iron Creek. But the journey is long and hard going – and things only get worse as their wagon train crosses paths with a gang of bandits.
Clara can only hope that Matt will come for them before it is too late – but with such a rocky start, what hope will be left for their future together?
The Sheriff’s Mail-Order Rescue is a thrilling romance that will charm its way into your heart. Will Matt and Clara find a way to be together? Or is their relationship about to end before it has even begun?

    Perfect match of Love

I truly enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. A hidden secret and tragedy cause Clara and her grandmother to move from familiar surroundings. The only thing that looked promising was to answer an ad for a Mail order bride. Matt, was a man who wanted a family of his own... These two characters started as seeking to start a friendship but ended up having to have a go at it due to grandmother's health issues. So Clara packs them off to move to Iron Creek. A long journey, unexpected arrival and mishaps but true love awaited them both.

If you want a good, easy, wholesome, interesting, and great story, this is for you. The Iron Creek Series is amazing. This is book 3. However, you can read it alone. The characters are fantastic. I LOVED the grandmother. Clara is so wonderful and Matt...oh Matt, I just want to hug him. The story is fantastic. It has some twists and turns that I was not expecting. I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

This was a fairly good flowing lite story. I had read a couple other stories, so there were some familiar characters. However, they really didn't get much focus. The new characters were interesting, and a lot more real for the vague time period. This book got four stars from me because it actually held my interest until the end.

    Rescuing Clara

After her father died, Clara discovered he had another family who inherited almost all that he left behind. She and her grandmother had to sell their home for money to live on and it wasn't enough. Her grandmother posted a mail order notice for Clara without her knowledge. That was sure to fail, like everything else she tried to support them.

    I loved this story

I loved this story. It was very interesting and I couldn't put it down. The characters are very sweet and very realistic. This type of story is one of my favorites. I love seeing how two complete strangers can end up madly in love. This one has an added bonus of a loving little boy who unknowingly helps them realize just how much they ment to each other.

  • Vickie Raynor

A angst-filled beginning, an action-filled daring capture and a come slowly love. It just doesn’t get better than this for a feel-good romance. I was full of emotions that left this a fast page turner. Book gifted to me.
