Moving to a new neighborhood sucks—unless of course you end up roommates with three gorgeous monster girls!
An odd twist of fate made me the newest resident in Meteoropolis, a city hurtling through space on the back of an ancient comet. After waking up in a containment pod, I got assigned to live with a unicorn gamer girl as my host. Not only did I need to find a job and some new friends, but I had to get used to bumping elbows with demons, dragons, aliens, and elves!

But somehow, that wasn't even the craziest part. When I arrived in this strange new world, I found out my soul had fused with a solar dragon. Suddenly, I had powers beyond anything even the magical residents of this city were capable of. Those powers also came with a secret that would be hard to keep.

In the space of a few days I went from a school teacher to a fire-breathing, shapeshifting superhero! Now I just need to figure out how to contribute around the house, deal with the three incredible women vying for my affection, and come to grips with the aggressive new tendencies the dragon soul brings out of me. It's going to be a hell of time!

Content Warning: This book contains adorable flower sprites, a unicorn-elf hybrid hottie, a serpentine seductress, and their unconventional romantic arrangement centered on one male. It also has intense scenes of physical intimacy, fantasy violence, and occasional strong language.

I was prepared for strange things in a book featuring a meteor-space-city and unicorns. I was not prepared to be bored. It’s quite an achievement making a space unicorn boring. But not an achievement I care to read.

Genre: Sci-fi Harem romance slice of life with light super hero aspects

Power dynamics in harem: Everyone has strong opinions, but MC is the central character
Explicit/adult material: Explicit, hot. More focus on the relationships, but present and explicit. Unicorn girl, snake girl, plant girl.

    Summary:
Brock was completely normal English teacher. But wakes up million years later and in a town on an asteroid filled with aliens, and all kinds of fantasy creatures.
Sharing his body with the soul of a powerful solar dragon.
His host while he finds his own feet in society is a beautiful unicorn, Pinky . They are soon joined by a flower plant girl and a friend and colleague of Pinky.
The girls each fall for our MC and he for them, but they each have strong personalities and circumstances making this no normal superficial harem story.

    Narrators
Voice diversity: The voice diversity is very good and the voices fit the characters very well. Impressive for a solo narration.
Pacing and intonation: So much heart and soul has been poured into the narration and it shows.
    Sex scenes: Hot.
Alyssa poon does a fantastic work solo narrating this book.
    Overall: 4.5 / 5 stars.

    The book’s strengths.
    - The writing. It is fun, I care for and about the characters, there are a ton of fun references, it doesn't take itself seriously and at time almost breaks the fourth wall. And it all works so well.
    - The girls have agency and go for what they want. It is so nice to read harem stories where the girls are not just passive objects to conquer.
    - Pinky. I love the lore around unicorns and how it plays into the narrative.
    - The narration

    The book’s weaknesses.
    - It is mostly focused on Pinky, which is fine, but the other girls need love too!

    Overall: 5/5 stars
I can't seem to not give Virgil Knightley's work less that the full 5 stars. Each book I read just leaves me going back into his universes for more.

    Good story overall

Spoiler alert you have been warned
This book was pretty incredible if I do say so I self I mean I really enjoyed the characters and the interaction between the main characters and the sub characters so why didn't I give it 5 stars and 2 answers that I really have to give some spoiler but basically it's because the interaction between the main character and the main sub character of the unicorn girl just 2 over the top I mean I mean the 2 of them really enjoying each other you can tell….. There is affection there in love and I just expected more of the social interacting between the 2 of them to me to the ultimate conclusion that they all belong in the harem together……. Plus the concept of the dragon getting hurt by that dagger I just didn’t buy that because this dragon is a celestial dragon that should have been able to heal any grievance such as this is thisthis. They just really kind of ruin the story for me to see the dragon get hurt that much.

    wow 😯

Well, well, well…… my first time reading Virgil, the synopsis intrigued me so I decided to take the plunge. If I knew book three wasn’t out yet I would have waited a few more weeks before starting this book….unfortunately I was 30% in and it’s so good there was no way I was stopping to wait. So I pushed forward. Granted, this is a slow burn romance (on some fronts 😂) hello blossom, right? 😘. I loved the characters. Each are truly unique and have such quirky and snarky personalities. I think Virgil did a superb job with the world building as well. Dr Luna was totally hilarious…. Also the commissioner being a mix of two great characters made me laugh so much and his personality made it even more top notch. I was wondering if there was some low key attraction between Go’Udren and his secretary 🤔. Their relationship dynamic is just too interesting and odd. I think Virgil did a superb job with this first installment and I can’t wait to read the rest. Onward lads!

Silly, lightweight, slice of life fun

There's a lot of things this book is not: serious, long, solving a problem, saving the world, or being "the one".
What this book is: silly, fun, filled with pop culture, references, self-deprecating, and well written.

While some people may find some of the character traits of the girls annoying I found them, mostly, endearing. The flower sprite is hilarious. Mamba is a bit overbearing. Pinky is a bit whiny. But all in all, I really enjoyed them. I think this fits slice of life pretty well. Plus, the erotic scenes were well written.

Throw in a smidge of crime fighting, and tons of references to other comic book crime fighters, and you got the gist of the story. But it's not about the crime fighting or the MC figuring out his powers or getting stronger. It's about his life in the new world with the new people. It was a nice distraction from all those stories out there that are serious.

Sometimes, showing something in my recommendations enough will cause me to crack and give it a go. That's the case here, and alas, I was not pleasantly surprised.

Decidedly mediocre, mainly because the MC and the "main girl" take the entire book to get together, for no better reason than overcoming the McGuffin became the plot.

Unfortunate, as there is some story here. The characters are uninspired tropes, so the 3 star rating shows my disappointment that they are so 2D. I have picked up the second book to see if any of this improves and that nascent storyline takes off, but we'll see.

it's a really well-balanced world. an interesting idea and would have been enjoyable but main problem is not the 2d characters or cliché girls, it's the mc. he is a white knight simp that has no balls and just annoying. he'd let any girl walk all over him. so he goes to his hosts home and instead of greeting him she tells him to go buy yourself lunch and goes to do games on her pc! he goes out almost gets killed by an assassin and comes back, instead of getting angry that she sent him out with no supervision he is like OKAY I DIDN'T DIE. at this point I had to stop its just stupid author couldn't just write a normal guy?he had to do a retard mc.

Fun, witty and truely unique read!

Bought this out of curiosity, and was intrigued by the sound of the world described.

Was not disappointed, with interesting characters, strange and engaging World, and the daily struggles of an MC trying to get his feet under him in an alien world while keeping a big secret that gets harder to keep the more he gets to know his new roommates.

Looks like a fun series and would be interested in reading more!

I loved almost every aspect of this book. The cast was varied and interesting. The story had two plotlines running in tandem and both were exactly what they needed to be. The universe is interesting and ended on what I assume was meant to be a hook for the next book but wound up just being an enjoyable up-note. I can't wait to read any more in the series or by this author.

    Fun!!

This is a nice beginning of a new series for me. Brock is a man who likes to protect. Especially people that he loves. It works well that he has been reborn in a strange city where he has been spliced with a solar dragon. This gives him a lot of power. I like the action,, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.

It was fuggin' decent. Set-up is a bit convoluted but the characters are likable, which is the most important ingredient for this kind of story. Plot is straightforward and silly but I ultimately enjoyed this quick read. Will check out the rest of series.

Better than I thought it would be

Pretty darn good story, cool concept for the story. Great characters and plot. I can't wait to start the next one.
