Strength. Healing. Safety.

After testifying against my father, I’m ready to shut the door on my past and begin my future with Hendrix. For the first time, I’m happy. Hopeful.

But not even the Garden of Eden lasted forever. When I agree to sing on stage for the first time with Hendrix’s band, August Clover, a storm rips through town, killing hundreds, injuring more, including Hendrix.

He lingers in a coma for weeks before finally waking up. When he does, nothing is the same. As Hendrix and I struggle to reconnect, my father retaliates against me. Whenever I think I can claw my way out of the darkness, it sucks me back down.

But my will to move forward is stronger than I think, and for the first time in my life, hope, love, and a family dangle in front of me.

I’ll do whatever it takes to bring Hendrix back to me. Because in my heart, I know that love has no limits. And I will break the chains that work so hard to bind me.

The final book in this riveting trilogy does not disappoint! Just when you think Gemma and Hendrix are on the road to a drama-free HEA ... think again. Surprises abound and the angst is high, and I loved every unpredictable minute of this exciting story. Gemma kicks a$$ as we see her continue to grow and own her new life. Hendrix is still the swooniest hero ever. And Mac ... I love her to pieces.
If you haven’t read this wild ride of a trilogy, carve out some time this weekend and binge read! Make sure to have tissues and chocolate handy.

    Gemma's future gets better

Gemma's survived so much and now her boyfriend is injured from a tornado. As Hendrix regains his memories Gemma has to try to help him without giving him to much I sight into the past. Brandon is still a threat and needs to be taken out if the picture. Gemma's is still not sure she wants to go back to campus with Brandon there.

To keep everyone safe Franklin packs them all up and carts them off to his fortress in Spokane. Ada Lyn has never been out of Louisiana and is loving the new living arrangements. Franklin becomes like a father to Gemma's to and Charles helps Gemma's feel stronger and more confident.

Loved it. This series has lots of twits and turns and things you never saw coming. Hendrix love for Gemma's is unstoppable and he can't stay away from her even when he can't really remember her.

    Rating: 3 1/2 stars

Just when you think it couldn't get better ...

The final part in this trilogy had me staying up late, on the edge of my seat, crying, smiling and feeling everything.

As if poor Gemma and Hendrix hadn't been through enough life throws them another curve ball taking the reader along for the ride.

As always beautifully wrote, heartfelt and inspiring. This final part will bring you to your knees before cheering and embracing the joy.

    Love & Redemption – J. A. Owenby - Book 3 of the Love & Ruin Series

Love & Redemption is the last book in the Love & Ruin series. If you have read books 1 and 2, you know how book 2 ended. Book 3 picks up with a bang! Which seems to be J.A. Owenby’s style, especially with this series. I expected nothing less.

Hendrix and Gemma are together again, Gemma testifies against her father and she and Hendrix are off to Baton Rouge where she will sing with Hendrix on stage. Yes, the crowd goes crazy before and after the song but maybe spending a hot day in Baton Rouge isn’t all it should be.

This time when tragedy strikes it hits Hendrix. Leaving Gemma, Mac and Franklin to deal with the outcome and give Hendrix all the help he needs to move forward.

Over time, with the help of family and time to recover Hendrix is back to his normal self and all seems to be going well. A new concert schedule is set and yet again, Gemma is thrown into turmoil with a sudden death. On top of that, we learn there are connections between Gemma’s family and Hendrix’s family and when that comes to light they must rally together to bring a positive outcome.

    J. A. Owenby through this series has taken 8 people from no knowledge of each other to finally becoming one smaller close knit family. Yes, there are losses and lies revealed along the way but there is also regret lifted of the shoulders of several of her characters. The biggest thing that this story shows us is that love can guide the way through any kind of event, be it happy or sad. I was also really impressed through this series in the way Mac’s character was treated. People suffering from ADHD deal with a huge issues every single day. Mac’s family and close friends (even her boyfriends) learned what can set Mac off and how to redirect her when she needs redirecting. Although we know she was on medication at one time we know that she is not now and to have ADHD is not an easy kind of learning and life issue to deal with yet for the most part everyone pitches in to help support Mac and guide her when needed.

Although the series has come to an end with book 3, we are lucky in that 2 standalone books have followed this series. One about Mac and one about Pierce (aka Charles in book 3.

    I can’t recommend J. A. Owenby enough!

Can Gemma and Hendrix catch a break?! The answer is...no.

After everything they’ve already gone through and finally finding each other again, a tornado rips apart their lives and Gemma is left alone once more.
Hendrix is gone. The person that took his place has no memories, at all. And the doctors won’t let them tell Hendrix about his life, forcing Gemma to keep her distance from the one person she needs more then anything. But, her Hendrix isn’t there, and this new Hendrix doesn’t understand anything that currently going on.

When Hendrix finally gets his memories back, Gemma faces more tragedy. I don’t know how this girl can take all this pain. Pain does make you stronger, but I feel like Gemma is being isolated too. She wants to lean Hendrix and Mac, but she also wants her family.

I'm ready for Hendrix and Gemma to get their HEA and ride off into the sunset on their tourbus!

    Tornado of emotions

I thought the first two books of the Love & Ruin series was a rollercoaster of emotions. Love & Redemption is literally a tornado of emotions. I was hooked reading how Gemma & Hendrix found each other again after the concert. There was a point where I shook my head because I saw one event played out. Reading how Franklin steps up to protect and watch over his family was heartwarming. Mac still has me cracking up with her babbling. Love & Redemption ends in a happily ever after (finally!).

  • Shelly Celli

    Wow, just wow!

After everything these two have been through, more tragedy is on its way. This girl is absolutely amazing though. She gets knocked down and just keeps on going. No matter what, she gets back up again and fights. I love this series and praise the author for her work. Every moment is full of feeling and those emotions help understand the story so much more. I cannot wait to see what’s else she has in store!

  • Jennifer Feltz Milkowski

This was amazing. I absolutely loved it. It wasn't all easy going. Hendrix and Jemma made beautiful music together then there is a disaster. Leaving Gemma injured and Hendrix in a comma, when Hendrix wakes up he remembers no one. Just when you think things are looking up and there will be smooth sailing another disaster happens, then again looking up and another disaster. This story comes together so beautifully tying up all loose ends.

  • Jenny Supporting Authors Book Reviews

I listened to this on Audible. Narration is great a very unique voice. This Author is simply amazing, bringing you in side the book emotionally. The authors ability to be so descriptive paints a perfect vision of everything. I have fallen in love with the characters. This is a must read. I laughed , I cried so hard, and then got put back together. what an amazing storyline. what a beautiful love and family story. I cant wait to read the next in the series.

Gemma life has been turned upside down again. She just can't get a break and live a happy normal life. With Hendrix accident having no memory of anything can Gemma and Hendrix find their way back to each other. Will Hendrix fall back in love with the only woman he has ever loved.  The road to get  their Happy Ever After wasn't easy but worth it in the end. To say their relationship has been a Rollercoaster Ride is an understatement.

  • Nancy Harvey

Wow! I thought Love & Ruin and Love & Deception were intense, but J.A. Owenby pulled out all the stops with this one. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat, waiting anxiously for the next big moment. And the hot sex scenes, OMG! The Love & Ruin series is the best I've read in a long time. I hope to see more with Hendrix and Gemma, they're my faves of this author.

  • Lizzie Mercer

OMG! I thought the first two books were amazing but this one blew the other two out of the water. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and was another emotional rollercoaster for me. It made me sad in some parts but there were a few parts where I cried. This book was another outstanding read by Mrs. J.A Owenby. I can't wait to see what she has planned for us next.

  • Lisa Baffi

    Four stars!

I really liked these stories, however I think it could have been one whole book instead. That being said Gemma, Hendrix, and Mackenzie are wonderful characters that help each other through all the twists and turns that happen. However, I would have liked to hear Hendrix's point of view.

  • Paige Whitecotton

    Holy cow.

What to say about this book. JA has a way with making you feel with the characters. It’s so real as you read each word on every page. The things that take place in this book and the books prior to it in the series just make you fall in love with Gemma die being strong and with Hendrix for helping her come alive again. I absolutely recommend this book.

  • Kelly Fountain

And it comes full circle. When we thought their path was clear and the danger was in the past, Gemma and Hendrix are thrown into the path of destruction again. The fight and drive these two have is amazing. The intensity and depths of their love goes beyond what we could imagine. Each step they take, the fight the darkness together and make a path to the other side. This was a fantastic series!

    Love & Redemption

Omg this series just keeps getting better and better, couldn’t put it down. Gemma and Hendrix have been through hell and back . Mac what an awesome friend. Being in all kinds of shit situation being able to find yourself after everything and start a foundation of Hope is awesome! Great writing!!!

  • Jolene Huber

    The End

This series should be read in order. There is a huge amount of stuff going on constantly in the series. It may have rape triggers for some. This is the last book and it raps up things nicely for the most part. I thought it was missing one important peice but I wont spoil it for others that might not read it.

  • Shannon Barnard

What a great book! The suspense and twists kept me captivated the whole read. I loved seeing how Gemma grew and came into her own being throughout the Love & Ruin series. Love and Redemption was my favorite. Be sure to read all three! I can’t wait to read what J.A. Owenby treats us with next.

  • Kristy Farnam

Wow what an awesome series! Such an emotional roller coaster, you will not want to put this book down! Such an inspirational story that shows Gemma’s strength and the meaning of a supportive family! You will not want to miss out on this read!

  • Doug

After the roller coaster ride of the previous two in the series, I expected this one to bring it all home to a smooth conclusion. Well hang on tight while you get blown right off of the rails. The suspense and surprises just never let up.
