For the ghosting. For the moodiness.
For being temporary. “Does he have a brother?” Everyone jokes when they say that, but Emilie’s crush — who married her sister — does. And he’s hot. Pro hockey player-hot. Except when she met Tim at the wedding, he was basically rude, then after messaging her at Christmas, he ghosted her. When her brother-in-law invites him to the farm to recuperate from an injury, she’s determined Tim’s not getting another chance. She’ll endure his presence while he’s around but stay out of his way. It should be easy, with her busy life. Right? Tim’s supposed to be living the dream of a career as a professional hockey player, but after a brief stint in the NHL he was sent back to the minors… then got hurt. Now his whole career is in jeopardy, and what is he going to do if he can’t play anymore? Visiting his brother might be just the thing to get himself into shape for training camp, but there’s one problem — Emilie. He messed up with her, not once, but twice. What’s it going to take to convince her he’s not the guy she thinks he is when every time he tries, things go sideways? A sweet small-town romance with all the characters you've come to love from the Good Things Come series.

Such a sweet story didn’t want it to end. I loved how it start as a novelist writing Emilie’s story. I now want to believe a novelist is writing my life as a story. I loved the main characters so much I wanted them to have a happy ending and for a minute I didn’t think they would and it actually broke my heart. I Haven’t read the books before but I definitely am now as the side characters were interesting and I need to know their story’s too. The book was well written and a lovely read i started it and didn’t want to put it down. It kept me interested and focused on the story. I also now love horses I feel like I know so much more about them which was lovely. I adored Holly the black lab she was my favourite ❤️ would recommend to any one especially those who love a beautiful small town love story it was perfect.

5 Stars
⭐️ I really felt like I connected with Emilie, loved her as a character.
⭐️ This has fun light “enemies to lovers” vibes, more on Emilie’s side than Tim’s, but they had some significant obstacles to overcome in their relationship.
⭐️ I loved Tim 🥰 So very different from Nate, but there is definitely something about those Miller boys 😉
⭐️ I also enjoyed seeing all the characters I’ve grown to love. Kinda Shantz has created such a wonderful Triple Stripe world and community in these books.
⭐️ While the track was still a key part of this book, it also dived into some other aspects of the lives of Thoroughbreds that was enjoyable to read about.
⭐️ Holly needs a shoutout for being adorable, gotta love a book with a loveable dog.
⭐️ No spoilers here, but the ending was absolutely perfect, loved it! -
I especially loved the way this story began with the heroine so happy with her life because you just knew she wouldn’t get to hold onto that feeling for long. And I loved how the hero grew. A very enjoyable story with lots of great horse action and details. If you love horses and romance you’ll love All The Best Things
